He blinked. "Uhhh..." was there some sort of expected behavior on a ferris wheel? "I spose I could rock the boat," he said with a bit of confusion. "But I dunno--"
He. Had. No. CLUE.

"Rock all you wish." She chuckled softly, shaking her head. "I can feel the metal under my feet and I can not see the ground, it will not scare me." As far as she was concerned, if he rocked it it would just be like a mild earth quake! It was safe, really. She lifted her eyes to observe his shape, pondering how coy she wanted to play or how blunt she should be; for someone who fit the bad boil criteria, it sure didn't seem much outside of a regular date as described by the magazines and occasional book.
Maybe...she wasn't doing it right?
"Is this not the place were couples do...couple things? Touch? Kiss?" Apparently, she had decided to play a little coy.

His eyes widened, then, almost surprisingly, he frowned. "Um..." he said finally. "Honestly, I SUCK when it comes to that stuff. I mean, first I stole a kiss from--one person, and it shocked the crap out of her, then I returned kisses from another ghoul and she freaked out on me and wrote this long letter about how I wasn't feelin' what she was feelin' and we needed to go our separate ways--so--"

"Freaked out?" She parroted, confused. This freak out was starting to sound like a very bad thing. Generally freaks sounded like a positive quality to have! Interesting. "I understand, However..." Needle mused, turning slightly on the bench to face him more; it looked like she was staring at his chest, but her eyes were still lifted to him, watching him as carefully as her limited vision would allow.
"Did you already forget what I said earlier?" It was an experiment with no feelings, just an experience to be had.

He hesitated. "This is an experiment, right? No harm no foul," he said, calming down. "You realize--eh," he stopped from explaining how he would obviously suck at kissing, then shrugged. It was a kiss. Just a kiss. It wasn't as if they were going to get married or have pumpkins or anything--
He leaned forward, touching her chin. Then he stopped, his face an inch away from hers. "You swear you're not gonna go callin' foul on me after this--like since I kissed you we gotta be datin' or something?"

"Right." She confirmed; as curious as she was about the way he cut himself off, she merely shrugged it off. He knew what this was as well as she did; what more was there? She would be as bad as he was, as she had less 'experience' than he did. The gentle touch to her chin had her lifting her face slightly, somewhat pleased to note that this particular touch seemed common (in her very limited experience, anyway).
"You have my word; please do not take offense, but as nice as you've been to me? I have no interest in dating you." Despite being here with him in a compromising position, she had her eye on someone else; she merely spent her life cooped up and only doing things one way, and wanted to actually experience what she could while she could still do it...without passing boundaries.

"That's perfect," he said, still hesitating. He was about to kiss a ghost. The back of his head was itching thanks to her, but he'd gotten used to that sensation. But still--
Ah, jack it, worry free kiss opportunity! He leaned forward, gently brushing his lips against hers. her lips were cool, but soft. He leaned forward, pressing his against hers. And... that was about how far he'd ever gotten with kissing.

It certainly was perfect! A worry-free way to learn that wouldn't stress out Petro or push him out of his comfort zone. The gentle brush had her closing her eyes, inhaling softly before the actual contact was made. His lips were warm and a little rough, but it wasn't an unpleasant experience; but as she returned the kiss that was as far as she'd gone, too. The first (and last) time someone had kissed her she made the unfortunate mistake of moving her arm post-ritual; the kiss had ended in her biting back a scream but this time...this time was different!
Needle carefully slid a little closer, releasing his hand to trail her stained fingers up his bare arm, placing her hand on his bicep carefully to continue to not impale him with her spikes. This time she was the one to start the kiss, unable to help being awkwardly shy about it; she had never kissed anyone before!

His hand went down to her waist, barely touching the skin shown by her top, and he kissed her back. Tiny little closed mouth kisses in which he grew more confident each time when she didn't totally freak out on him over them--or kick him in the balls.
He tugged her closer, lengthening the kiss. He could get to like this, he thought.

As his kisses grew more confident, so did hers. She was slowly getting the hang of this, and the more she did the more she found she was enjoying it. All of it, from the kisses to the hesitant touches and right down to the way he pulled her close.
"Roch." She started breathlessly between kisses, eagerly returning everything she was given. "May I---" Whatever she was going to say was silenced however, as the ride came to a screeching halt. When that happened before she was just happy to have him as a distraction, but this time, the door to their little cart was flung open.
The noise had her leaning away from him, perked up as if trying to understand what was going on.
Somehow, she imagined Whoops was the proper term to use, not that she said anything.

For a second the kid that had opened the door got a look that said "I will jacking END YOU." and wondered why he felt a bit worried all of a sudden--then Roch recovered his mind.
"Looks like the ride's over. You ready to go hunt down those bat wings?" he asked her, tugging her to her feet. "I'm starvin!"

Ah, it did certainly seem that way! Needle merely sighed, getting to her feet as he tugged her to do so; however the movement did make her feel pressure on her forearm, and the moment she felt it she pulled back as if burned. The pressure meant her spikes touched him, but how badly she couldn't guess.
"Ahh! I...I am so sorry, are you injured?" This was more important than bat wings right now!

He looked at her blankly. "Huh?" he asked. "Did you do something?" It didn't seem like she'd even scratched his FEAR shield. "Jackdammit, I forgot to look for the stand while we were up there..." He frowned up at the ferris wheel, wondering if they should do it again--then realizing he probably wouldn't look even if they did.

"I thought my needles touched your---" She paused, sliding a hand up his arm and finding...nothing. No indents, no nothing. Huh. Well. "...I am sorry?" This time she meant their time up in the Ferris wheel. She might have suggested going again as well, but for similar reasons kept quiet; the first time had been an awful lot of fun after all.
"Perhaps we could ask someone? Or perhaps just follow our noses?" Not that she knew what Bat wings smelled like...
