Sasha laughed.
"Okay, you wanted.. bangs? Like, straight across, or?"
She was actually having a lot of fun. Ami wasn't... well, she wasn't half-bad. Their last conversation had been both strange and awkward, but then again, Ami had had a nightmare just before the conversation had taken place.

To be fair, Sasha was also creeping on her.
"No more like a side part. Maybe a crow's peak? Or something swoopy ..." She smiled and said, "I don't know ... Work your magic Sasha!"
After a moment, she thought about it and added, "Maybe just straight across?"

Sasha moved around in front of Ami, using the comb to bring a fair amount of hair forward. She dampened it again with the water bottle before combing everything out once more.
"Straight across it is, then. And ah," Sasha slowly started snipping her way across Ami's forehead in a straight line, "why do you ask about Life division?"

Ami smiled as Sasha cut her hair, a bit nervous about the straight bangs- she'd only had them once before. She didn't necessarily dislike them, it was just a new feeling.
Quietly, she said, "Ah ... I was thinking about switching over with my promotion ... it's coming up soon you know."

Sasha hummed thoughtfully.
"Almost done. And.. a lot of people seem to be coming over. From other divisions, I mean. Well. Okay, not a lot. But Rin, and now you. Why were you thinking of moving?"

"I hope my promotion is coming soon."

Something dark crossed Ami's eyes as she no doubt recalled Wilson and Feng getting beaten up endless in front of her. It passed in a matter of moments. "Ah ... just not very good at defending."
She looked around at the labs, remembering Leon fiddling with the slides, and both Sasha and Clerise talking ecstatically about the Life division. "And ... I like it here. The labs feel more home than the training fields do ..."
Ami chuckled and said, "You know I passed the life course on my second try?" She looked at her laps, folding her hands with anxiety. "I ... still haven't passed the moon one."

Sasha grimaced.
"It took me at least.. well, at least twenty tries to pass that frickin' course. The life one, I mean." She shook her head.
"But then, I passed the moon one on my first try. If I didn't adore my division so much," Sasha trailed off, chuckling.
"Okay, I think we're done!"

Ami fluffed her hair a few times, ruffling it in the mirror. It was still long, but it looked so much more ... groomed. It was ... well cute!
Wanting to move on from the topic, Ami was glad for the subject change. She stood up and said, "Yes! Definitely." She stood up and stood there awkwardly, before putting a hand on Sasha's arm. Quite frankly, it was a big deal considering just minutes ago Ami had said she didn't like touching people.
"It's perfect Sasha," she added, dropping her hand. "Can I pay you back somehow? With ... I don't know, lunch?"

"Lunch sounds like a fair deal," Sasha grinned, tucking back her own hair. "I'm glad you like it! I was .. well, I wasn't worried."
Sasha paused. Ami's touch on her arm didn't go unnoticed, not at all.
"Okay, I was.. I was totally worried. Maybe I should invest in a really nice set of shears." She chuckled and shook her head.

Ami smiled and shook her head. "No waaaay. Sasha you're actually really amazing at cutting hair," she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and let it fall again.
She took a breath in and picked up her phone, standing up. "Do you need help cleaning this up?" she said, looking at the massive amount of hair poured onto the ground now.

Sasha glanced down at the massive mountain of hair that had piled on the floor.
"No, no, I've got it. I need to sweep the whole floor before I leave, anyway, so you're fine."
Sasha beamed at the compliment.
"That means a lot, Ami!"

Feeling a little, Ami rocked back on her heels, and said, "Mmkay, if you say so." She took a step towards the door, and while walking said, "Oh and Sasha?" A glance towards the book pile. "One week."
That message passed along, she walked out the door, leaving poor Sasha with a pile of hair and 7 books to read.
