Character's Name: Elleth Year: Year 1 Stats: LP: 11 ENG: 5
Inventory: Ysail Dragon Orb x2 ---
Elleth yelped in pain as the punch connected with her arm, totally ignoring the weak defense she'd managed to put up. Scowling she returned the blow with a jab of her own, the move weak and shaky and she felt as if even hitting him slightly would be worth it. She knew that after that she was done.
[Lotus Palm; Unarmed attack. 80 dmg, costs 5 ENG]
[Hit: 80*.1= 8, BLOCKED 7, 1 dmg done] [Next Block: 80*.1= 8]

"Lets-" Whatever else she was going to say was cut off as Samril's last attack caught her totally off guard. Pain flared up for the briefest of moments as his punch managed to skim her temple, knocking her out cold.

Samril's eyes went wide as Elleth fell after his last punch. Why hadn't she blocked it? Why had he punched that hard? ... He hadn't killed her, right?!!? The young Dovaa knelt beside his Oblivionite friend, shaking her shoulder. "Elleth! Elleth!! WAKE UP!!!!" Oh why had she talked him into fighting against a blindfolded person??
What to do? What to do?! Too bad he wasn't a Ysali Dovaa like Kavanna. Then he could heal her like she had healed him after their fight... Or if she was just here... As it was, he was stuck shaking a shoulder and yelling in poor Elleth's face.

A soft groan spilled from Elleth's lips as she was shaken but still she did not wake. Her fingers twitched weakly and she seemed to sag more against the ground she laid on. If she were awake she would have probably been cursing at both herself and at Samril before laughing it all off with a promise to do it again, only this time she wouldn't fail.

Samril gave a sigh of relief as Elleth groaned. The dead didn't groan, right? So Elleth wasn't dead! He was very relieved about that. Now he was unsure of what to do to help her. He hesitated, not wanting to leave her alone and unprotected, but finally he decided to make a quick trip to the stream they'd found their last time here and get some water. He was terribly thirsty and bet that Elleth would be when she woke up.
It wasn't until Samril got to the stream that he realized he had nothing to carry water in. Obviously, he'd fix this for future trips, but for now he had to think and look around. He got a drink himself while he pondered over his problem. The only thing he could think of was his boots and he didn't think Elleth would like to drink water out of his footwear.
There seemed to be no solution. He'd just have to bring something next time he ventured out. For now, he'd return to Elleth and wait for her to wake up. Maybe she'd have an idea.

When Elleth opened her eyes all she saw was darkness, but that was normal. It was a closely guarded secret of the Oblivionites but they didn't 'see' the world like the other races did. No they 'saw' the spirits of everything, the life energy. The colors that made up the energies became what was 'normal' for them. For instance she could see the colors that made up Samril's body, his eye and hair color, but not his clothing color.
But her blindfold effectively blocked that 'sight' and after a moment of panic did she remember that she was still wearing it. "Urgh.." She moaned, sending a sharp spike of pain through her head. "Never... never doing that again." She mumbled, "Blech...this must...this must be...what the adults mean when they drink.."
It took her a while but she managed to get to her hands and knees, one shaky hand pulled off the bandages which slid down to her neck and shoulders. Unsteadily she knelt there until she heard something coming closer. A brief glance up showed that it was only Samril. "Not...not doing that again." She mumbled at him, "Never drinking either."

Samril was glad to see Elleth getting up as he returned. "Hey! You okay? Sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that hard and oh man am I tired from that fight and do you have anything to carry water in? I was going to get you a drink, but I don't have anything and well, it's a bit of a walk to the stream and-" Samril was babbling once again, his relief at seeing that Elleth was okay combined with the lingering bits of adrenaline from their spar.
The boy missed Elleth's mumbled words, which would've only confused him most likely.

Groaning Elleth stood on wobbly legs, swaying gently as she tried to keep her balance. "Slow down," She muttered, "I'm alright, I'll be better in the morning. No I don't have anything and I should be able to make it to the stream."
One hand pressed lightly against her temple and winced at the pain that shot through her skull. Okay, not touching the bruise. She knew that it must be a big one but seeing as how she couldn't see it, nor could anyone else because of her coloration, it would be moot point to ask.
"Lead the way?"

Samril took a deep breath, letting it all out in a rush. "Sorry. And sorry..." He watched nervously as Elleth began to stand. "You sure you can make it? I mean..."
The Dovaa sighed and took the Oblivionite's arm to help and guide. Plus, he thought she could use the extra help in staying upright...
Slowly, he made the way back to the stream, careful to keep a grip on his friend's arm as much as she'd allow. They made it to the stream and Samril gave a happy sigh. Oh how that water would feel good again!

She knew that she was leaning against him more than she should be, but for once in her life Elleth allowed the weakness to show. After all, Samril had knocked her flat out on accident, and before that had been the victor of their previous fight. It almost seemed as if she was doomed to always loose against him.
Once they made it to the stream Elleth couldn't help but look along the bank, making sure that there wasn't a dragon in sight this time. She didn't know wither or not to be disappointed or relived that she didn't find one.
Toeing off her sandals Elleth walked into the stream and stared at her reflection. No blood this time thankfully, but her image was still pitiful to look at. At this rate she'd never become strong.
Shaking her head she told Samril that she was going to head home, she might feel fine now but she should really get a healer to check her over. A small wave at her friend saw her heading off, a nearly visible cloud of depression hovering over her head. [exp gain: 13.1]

Samril kept an eye on his friend as she went into the stream. Sitting on the bank, he pulled his boots off and waded in, happy to let the cool water run over his feet and to get another drink.
Blinking, he glanced up as Elleth said she was leaving. "Okay. Be careful and maybe I'll see you again right?" He hoped she could make it home okay; she'd been leaning against him on the way here.
He watched as she walked out of sight, torn for a moment on following to make sure she got there okay, but finally decided against it. There were probably guards near the town and he didn't want to run into an unfriendly Oblivionite! So, pulling on his boots, he instead headed home.
