 Evie Sinclair Evie folded her arms across her chest. "You sure you ain't looking in a mirror?" she retorted. "Look, I could be your only chance out of this hell-hole, since the only others who would put up with your attitude would more than likely intend to break your spirit and use you as a sex slave, or someone to torture. Like the Verans will do to me, if I don't find someone who can help me fight them. I always treat my... 'slaves'...." she winced at the word, "As equals. The how about if you wre a child, no matter what you have to obeye your parents, and then there's the law, if someone's coming to kill you, you can't kill them because the law with smack you in the face and put you away instead of the other person."
