"Got it."
The snake had attacked Hyvisk, and that only made the green angrier. She shrieked and then attacked again, missing the snake by inches.
"Back down," Mirize said, chirping it as a command to Valarask. The green stepped back, though not much, rumbling angrily. It was only temporary, hopefully enough that she could calm down just a little, since angrily attacking wasn't doing a thing. "Wait for my command."

Mirize watched the snake, and then, when he thought there was an opening, he gave her the signal to attack.
She did, but before her attack landed, the snake snapped at her as well, catching the edge of her wing. Valarask pulled away, ripping her wing away. Now they both had injured whers.

Valarask leaped at the snake, moving before Mirize had a chance to give an order. The snake would pay for hurting her, and Mirize could only shake his head as she attacked, and missed.
"I don't think this is working." Maybe he needed to get that knife back. The knife throw had done more damage than Valarask had, though she was trying. Hmm. Maybe if he could convince Valarask to be a distraction, he could grab the knife.

Hyvisk snarled, It was one thing for him to get his attack in, but another for it to also cause him damage. He wasn't backing down. His eyes whirled, watching the movement of the handlers, wher and snake. His gaze focused on the snake, even with Tashio's commands to wait.
She watched to make sure, before letting the blue attack at will. He charged, mouth open and hit the snake as fast as he could.

Tashio was proud of the blue, getting an attack in like that. Still holding her knife, she went in for a quick strike. Her attack hit near the snakes tail, the knife went in nicely, and she pulled her arm back.

She moved back as fast as she could, just in case the snake turned on her. Tashio had no wish to be smashed between wall or wher and snake. Not with Hyvisk staring at the snake's wounds dripping. His eyes were ready for another attack. "Get it, Hyvisk." She snapped the command, watching for the best to happen. The blue charged, but the snake dodged his charge like it was easy. Hyvisk roared in anger.

Preoccupied with avoid the snarling green wher's attacks, the snake was open to the blue's offense and quickly found itself with a torn and bloody side.... and swiftly a knife in the back that lodged in the muscles and tore every time it moved. Screaming, the tunnel snake thrashed about for a moment before lashing out at the blue once more.
Blood running and seeing red, it snapped and clawed at Hyvisk.

"Good job." The blue was an excellent snake fighter, and Tashio wasn't too bad either. Maybe things were looking up.
"Attack." The green attacked the snake, finally striking it. The blue's efforts seemed to have increased Valarask's focus, and Mirize was pleased. Now just to get his knife back.

The snake thrashed in pain, and when Valarask went in for another attack, knocked her back, hitting the exact place that it had injured her before. She screamed in pain, her eyes whirling.
"You're okay." Mirize chirped, reassuring the wher. "You're doing good."
She chirped in response, and then circled around the snake warily, seeking the perfect spot to attack from.

And there it was. She leapt at it, slashing at his already made wounds. The snake hissed in pain, and Valarask leapt away, skidding to a stop and then spinning around to keep an eye on the snake. The battle wasn't over yet, and injured creatures were always unpredictable.

She dodged the snake as it thrashed. Now was not the time to be daring or stupid. Hyvisk was angry, almost to the point where he would attack anything. Thankfully the snake was in front of him.
Hyvisk just narrowly missed the snake. He growled, watching the other wher. Tashio snapped a command at the blue. This was not the time to attack each other. "Hyvisk, to me!"

The blue moved to get closer to Tashio, not happy about it and showing it. His wings shifted as he snapped. No snake was to get the best of him. Tashio worked her way to the blue, moving so not to be noticed fully by the snake. With a snap of command, she told Hyvisk to attack. The blue with surprising speed snapped at the snake, catching it just enough with his jaws to tear into.

Tashio grinned, proud of the blue. The green and Mirize had done a wonderful job. Thinking on that, she thought she could trust them to watch her back any time. Her attention was brought back to the snake, blood flowing out of numerous cuts. Hyvisk was bleeding pretty good himself, though he wasn't backing out. Tashio put a hand on his back leg, making him look at her. "You are doing good out there. Keep it up." With a thump, she pointed him back towards the snake.

Maybe they weren't doing such a bad job after all.
Valarask hissed at the snake, keeping out of reach, but prepared to attack if it moved towards her. She was doing her best to keep out of Hyvisk's way, under Mirize's orders. He didn't want any accidental injuries between the two whers, the snake ones could be excused, snake hunting was dangerous, but he didn't think that their partners would be very pleased if they injured each other while under a pair of trainees.
"You and Hyvisk are doing great!" He had certainly gained an appreciation for the older woman, since she had pretty much saved his hide. He wasn't sure how he would have done against the giant snake on his own, though he did know that he would have done the best he could.

Tashio moved towards Mirize, "You two aren't too bad yourself." She kept her eyes on the snake. For how wounded it was, there was bound to be an attack, just like whers when cornered.
