"I mostly figure that noise means 'thankyou'." Tambrey offered, returning Lore a smile in kind "And, ah, thanks. From me. I know we've... kind o' ambushed you at a... slightly inconvenient moment?" She referred to the attire, and the towel, plus wet hair. "I'm sure y'd rather be back in your quarters, but we, er both of us I'm sure," She shot a glance to Star "appreciate it. 'T was kind of awkward with the, uh, height difference." She blinked, realising that the... Star-fall had left her glasses a little skewed and paused to push them back in place before falling back in step.

Star remained silent. He wasn't going to confirm Tambrey's thanks.
Lore didn't seem to mind. "Don't worry about it." He waved a dismissive hand. "Wandering around in wet hair for five minutes won't kill me. So, what's up with you guys? Little late in the evening for injuries."

It was probably just as well she'd said it twice then, she thought, as Star remained silent. Hm. She frowned a little as Lore asked after Star's injuries and glanced at the taller of the two before giving a much shortened explanation. "Well, still, 's nice 'f you. Eh. Well, he's sort of 'rehurt' and a little bit electrocuted. One of his pokemon was... startled by... things happening and sort of went all..." She wiggled her fingers in a subconscious explanatory gesture "sparks and flashes..."

"Oh yeah? Sounds exciting."
"No, it was annoying." Star muttered. "And unnecessary. If you'd just accepted what I'd told you instead of insisting on a fight..."
"So getting along well, I see.

"It wasn't about the reason y' did it and there wasn't any good one t' accept, it was that y' did it /without/ asking and without... caring that I wouldn't want you going through my stuff..." Tambrey found herself retorting before she could remember it was going to be a waste of time. "Oh. Extremely well; like a house on fire." Well, she'd never really understood that expression anyway, but it half seemed to fit for reasons other than, she suspected, the intended meaning of the phrase.

"Oh please." Star rolled his eyes, "Do you actually think I care enough about your stuff to go through it? I paid attention to it long enough to remove it. I didn't sit around reading your diary. I have much more important things to do."
"Come oooon, let's not argue. We're all friends here."
Star made an indistinct unhappy noise.

"You /knew/ where that medical kit was..." Tambrey pointed out and then blanched a little (though on the already pale girl it, perhaps, wasn't so noticeable) at the diary mention before she seemed to remember something and a 'flicker' of relief crossed her features. "Hm. Well. You still shouldn't have. Removed it, I mean."
As Lore intervened, Tambrey frowned a little; it was... difficult to think of Star as a friend, and yet, if she thought about it, she didn't exactly consider him an 'enemy' right now either, despite it all. A nuisance, certainly- or, more bluntly, 'a pain in the a**'- but closer to friend than enemy and certainly not 'acquaintance'. She briefly wondered if she could count 'room mate' as its own category just for him, but then... she had definitely put the last room mate in 'acquaintance'. He was hard to place. "I'm not sure that's quite th' right word." She muttered, trying to /sound/ more like she had him down as 'enemy' but still not quite managing anything that wasn't a little half-hearted.

Lore seemed to catch the lack of commitment and hesitation in Tambrey's voice because her last comment earned a softer smile from the brown-haired Rocket.
Star, of course, missed it entirely. "Well there's something we can agree on. We're not friends." He stated simply, shaking his head. "I don't have any friends."
A moment of awkward silence passed before he realized what he'd said exactly and winced, "Here. I don't.. have any friends here."

Well that spoke volumes. She caught the change in smile from Lore but seemed to actually choose not to notice the difference, choosing to retort to Star's comments.
"You're sort of steering dangerously close t' us having 'common ground' there..." She muttered then directed a suspicious look at the ex-Galactic. "So by that y'mean you do have friends.. where? If not here?"

Star's voice took on a defensive tone, "I was very popular at Team Galactic. Both Team Galactics. I was well-respected and I had plenty of friends."
Looking less amused, Lore urged the walking pace a little faster. Listening to Star delude himself was, frankly, depressing.

"But you- Hrm. F'get it." Tambrey frowned and twitched her lip at on corner, allowing her teeth to come into contact with it for a moment to give it a small chew in, perhaps, thought or maybe some concern. She couldn't quite bring herself to point out the fact that he'd blown up part of the airship he'd considered 'home', where those friends would have been and therefore had likely blown up a few of his 'friends'. She quickened her pace as Lore did and, though she had gone quiet there, still seemed to intend to come along to the infirm. She remained slightly frowning all the same.

At their quickened pace the infirmary soon came into view. Lore guided Star inside and offered the nurse on duty a smile, "Evening!"
The nurse frowned at Star. "You're supposed to be resting. What did you do?"
Star's eyes narrowed, "Nothing that I can be blamed for.
"I'm sure it's nothing serious. Our friend here just needs a little patching up."
The nurse sighed and gestured, "Just lead him over to that bed."
Lore did as instructed.

"He got electrocuted- by a magnemite," She paused and added "I think. Anyway, he got electrocuted and one 'f his stitches tore." Tambrey offered up, lingering not too far from the door while she watched Lore take Star to the indicated bed.

The nurse rolled her eyes, "Getting in fights with pokémon wasn't part of my advice to you."
"Stop lecturing me and just fix it..." Star muttered as he took his boot off.
Lore stepped back, giving the nurse room. "Well, looks like you guys've got things under control. If he needs any help back upstairs just gimme a call, yeah?"
The nurse nodded vaguely as she set about examining Star's leg.

Tambrey actually looked a little guilty while she heard the nurse scolding Star. Sure, he had stolen the furniture and turfed her stuff out of place, but he was physically hurt because of the battle she felt she'd insisted on. She hadn't moved too far in from the door really; hovering there and watching, not entirely sure if she should stay and wait or go back to the room or something else. "I guess... Uh. Hm. I can't imagine 'm going t' be much use here right now..."
