Oblivion was odd, it was like meditation, but without all the distractions you meditate out. It was just silence and emptiness. Even as she lingered in that space between her physical form started to fade away vanishing in a faint purple mist, a mist colored like the fire that was in Riley's fist.
What was even odder was reappearing and seeing that FEAR flickering in her hands like a small flame with a new body. A very weak body at that. Carefully none the less she moved forward stopping beside Siddie and where her body had been laying.
"Well... I can say I tried at least..." her voice was ragged and weak, she didn't have the fear to animate it properly again yet.

Reiko came through the portal from Death with the beginnings of a crazed grin on her face. She was ready to plow through to wherever the Hunters were and start taking them apart, shredding through them, letting herself give into her bubbling violent impulses.
She got there just in time to see the unfamiliar undead ghoul fall before this strange, giant gray...thing. She had neither met nor seen Riley before her transformation, and so she was unaware that this creature had once been a student. But the others were hesitating to attack her...why?
"What is this?" The onryo hissed. She was ready to kick the s**t out of Hunters. Fighting...whatever was here was not on her agenda, but she suspected she wouldn't be able to get past until that...thing was taken down.

"No!" Siddie staggered back a step, then moved forward again to kneel beside Sammy. Sammy hadn't dissipated yet - she could still be healed, and Siddie remembered the pumpkin pill that Sammy had found in the pavilion before all the fighting had begun. Where was it? Sammy had put it in her pocket, the inside pocket, hadn't it been? But before she could find it, Sammy faded out, and Siddie rose again, clenching her fists in frustration. Riley needed Fear - but she had drawn Fear out of Sammy ruthlessly and without a second thought. How much Fear would it take to return her to her senses? Was that even possible? How could they reach her? "It didn't work," she said softly as Sammy returned to stand beside her, shaky and exhausted. "Please, don't do that again." Riley would kill Sammy again, or their other friends would. She couldn't let Sammy fight. Shun reached out for Mitsu's shoulder. Soon after she had struck the zombie, Riley had gone and finished her off essentially.
"Che, she had that coming" he murmured before turning towards Mitsu, looking a little worn from the two hits he had taken while he was here. He caught that look on her expression and thus he let out a breath.
"We must defeat her. She does not deserve to continue existing like this. Let her die with what honor she has left, rather than let this insanity rampage on. Think about the Riley she was once was. If she's still in there, she's trapped in that shell, striking us all down and unable to do anything of it. Would you want her to keep existing like that? Release her," he said calmly, and almost in a gentle manner.

Mitzi stepped through behind Reiko, not looking forward to the impending fight but determined. She was not expecting the sight before her, and had no clue what was going on. She saw Alex, and Yin, and Roch, who had all passed through the portal before them; why were they still here? What about the Hunters? And what was this large figure before them? She'd only met Riley once, briefly, and so although she thought something about it looked familiar, that was all. Maybe - maybe if she could use the Voices ... Siddie remembered the voices in the fog, whispering and whispering and laughing at her, always surrounding her no matter where she was. Was there enough shadow in the fog for her to use her Voices? She could try. The whispering susurrus came rising out of her body, all around her, calling out in a thousand soft voices. Riley. Riley, don't hurt us. Riley, come back. Riley, come home, come home, remember, Riley, please ... But she could only project them a little ways along the ground, into the patch of uncertain shadow below Riley, where she couldn't even be sure that the demon would hear them at all. She gritted her teeth in frustration. The black ash flickered into existence, slowly reforming, starting from her feet and then slowly building up - two feet, not four. Between dissipation and reformation, the pricolici had returned to her humanoid form, her body flickering for a moment amongst all of the chaos before she paused, half jerking before she opened her eyes, the lights seeming to flicker on all at once.
She was awake. Tired, but awake.
The pricolici looked to everybody who was still present, making a small face. Why hadn't any of these people gone to help with the hunters? Had they known they were there? A moment passed as she continued to look around. Riley? Was Riley here?
Could they not get passed this area? Was that why Riley hadn't come back? No. No that wasn't the case, and Shehk's gut sunk when she realized not only Riley was still there - she also wasn't there. Silver had flecked all the way across the mindflayer's skin and for a moment, all she could do was stare in horror, trying to get over the shock of what was going on.
It wasn't hard to tell, after all.

Somehow Mitsu had a feeling she was going to have another bad deed hovering over her head. She had never attacked Red but she still felt bad for the teacher's demise....she had watched Stacey die and had done nothing to prevent it. Could she take Riley down like she was just another enemy? An insanity driven creature out to hurt or kill them.
"She doesn't deserve this either," Mitsu murmured, closing her eyes as she tried to focus passed the pain hoping there would be an answer. There really wasn't. She knew nothing more about insanity than anyone else and the Hunter they had spoken to had no answers either. It was a mystery and they had no time to solve it. Perhaps releasing her was the only answer.
"No...I wouldn't..." Mitsu finally conceded, not sure what else to say. She wouldn't want to be left alive if it meant she was only going to hurt and kill her friends.

Imryn came through not long after Mitzi, still feeling on edge from their battles on the Death Isle. However, she wasn't expecting for there to be a issue here in the portal room, her eyes darting around and trying to figure out what was going on. Most everyone seemed to be just standing around and watching the creature there... she wasn't sure if they were a student or what. It certainly wasn't like any student she'd ever seen before. So for now she just stayed towards the back and watched. (( OOC: Character Name: Imryn HP: 30/30 Target: Damage: Appearance: A grey skinned, winged elemental that is missing the lower half of her body. Dark claws,longer thin horns and tail with a blue glowstick and skull pin at the end.))

"No... it might have, it might not, I don't know... in theory. If I'm still alive, then couldn't we simply keep feeding her and coming back till she was sedated?" She looked up towards Riley again and the flickering mass that was once her own FEAR in her hand.
She watched as Siddie moved forward but did nothing to stop her, she had asked Siddie to trust her, she would trust her the same in this moment. Slowly voices radiated from the smaller ghoul, though she was able to barely tell the difference in all the noise.
She turned to look over the other students, Shehk was there now, and looking as ragged as she was. She made no move to greet her other then simply raising a hand to beckon her closer to join them.
"I see you aren't looking any better Shehk..." she turned back to Riley, "And neither is our once purple friend."

Nodding quietly to Mitsu, he was about to say something, but caught the zombie's words.
Shun stared at Sammy. She was delusional wasn't she?
"If we keep feeding her, there'll eventually be nothing left for our fear to reform on," he hissed, "Go on. Keep running to her if you're so intent on being suicidal."

She turned to Shun again raising her arms wide, "Have you not realized where we are? This is the islands of the horsemen. If there wasn't FEAR here to reform with I'd say they did a piss job of scaring humans."
Still she made no move to sacrifice herself again yet, she simply watched as Riley continued to watch them. For now at least.

Shun scoffed lightly at that. Despite what she was saying, he noticed she made no move to throw her fear at Riley again.
"There's fear here yes. But I'm talking about our personal fears. Keep dying and reforming in such a short time and you're bound to screw yourself over."

Shehk's ears flicked between the arguing pair, frowning. All this fighting. Sammy was sounding like Shehk had when it had been Red, and yet she couldn't really bring herself to pipe up either way on the matter, looking at the two arguing inividuals, before looking to Riley, tilting her head slightly as she looked up at the Mindflayer.
Then she looked down at the piece of bone she wore around her wrist, running her fingers over it with a small frown - a small token that meant more to her than possibly any other individual. It was significant. Fire flashed through her mind. Fire that turned grey underneath her touch.
If you had been strong then the result could have very well been the same. it reminded her.
Shehk's eyes flickered up towards Riley. So, Riley. What do you want us to do? Stay back? Do you still want us to do that now?

Alex was confused, the doubt and apprehension washing over him even as the undead ghouls shouting finally registered in his brain. She was telling them to stop, telling Siddie to stop them if they tried to attack. Unbidden, anger welled up inside of him. They were only doing what needed to be done, and none of them deserved to be attacked for doing what they felt was right.
There was one student, a boil, who was making a lot of sense with what he was saying on the matter, and Alex found himself agreeing, even as Yin stepped forward and defended him towards the zombie ghoul and Siddie.
The zombie ghouls retort was met with eyes that were narrowed dangerously, and an upper lip pulled back from gritted teeth. Zombie or not, Alex felt that she was acting like an idiot, and also, nobody talked to Yin like that.
And now she was doing something ridiculously stupid, and Alex had to shake his head, reaching out to grab at Yin's arm and hopefully pull the boil back. The voices from the fog were getting to him, and he felt weak and disoriented. But as much as this entire situation filled him with dread, he hissed at the other boil anyways. "We are going to get out of here. Even if we dissipate a hundred times, we are leaving here, together."
And that's when the zombie ghoul had her fear taken from her, and she was sent falling, completely lifeless to the ground. Alex's eyebrows rose, his eyes widening. That did not...look good. She hadn't dissipated, but she was not looking terribly conscious either. Was she...could she actually be dead? He didn't think that could even really happen, not so easily.
It wasn't long before the ghoul reformed, the other body fading away. It was weird, seeing it happen like that, and he shuddered inwardly. This was so jacked up! He hoped they could all get out of here, and that what he said to Yin would be true.
Arguments were breaking out among the the undead ghoul and a reaper boil that Alex didn't know. This really didn't feel like the time or the place for such things, but apparently emotions were high and this ghoul, the one infected by insanity, had some close friends. Alex supposed that if it had been Yin, he might not be too happy to see everyone attacking him, talking about killing him for good, so he could definitely see where the ghoul was coming from.
But that just wasn't the case, and Alex had no attachments to this 'Riley', person. He would do whatever he had to do to keep his bonded and all of his friends, safe.
