When something was touching his shoulder he tensed up, nerves stretched to their limits until he registered that it was a cool touch at just about the same time that his bonded's voice reached him. He turned, the look on his face as he saw him unmistakably one of relief. Here at least was finally tangible proof that whatever he had done was just a dream and that meant that maybe it just meant nothing? Even as he turned he was reaching out, pulling Alexander into a hug whether or not the zomboil wanted it, not caring in the least who was around and might see them because he needed it. "Alexander."If his text messages had not been clear enough that something out of the ordinary might be going on his slightly haggard appearance and the fact that he was giving Alexander a very public display of perfection might have tipped him off.

Oh, Amrita wanted to ask. The entire time she followed Shehk to the 'someplace quieter', her mind was racing a mile a minute. Why did Shehk want to talk to her, what did she want to talk to her about, why was she the one that Shehk needed to talk to?! There were an infinite number of students better suited to anything so why why whyyyyyyy aaaaaaaaaa-----
When she got her answer; rather, a part of the answer; she didn't understand. Why would there be something on the Isle of Death for her? Wasn't that where Aymet had just come from? Her memory drifted back to the mass of texts that the Dracolich had sent (read: flooded) her with. Death Isle... Despite having heard of some of the events on the isle, she still looked confused and a little unsure.
"Death...? Why?" This time, she did ask the questions her head was reeling with, her grey eye finally starting to reflect the chaos in her mind. "What did you find...?" She started, figuring that was a better starting question than Why tell me about it; it had to be something relevant to her, or else why would Shehk bother remembering to tell her about it?

Kettil had been ready to go home and to see Lark again and just relax and settle back into a sort of routine once more only to hear that they were staying a bit longer whether they wanted to or not. His brow knitted in that expression of worry as it made his gut give an uncomfortable lurch. Endzela let out a light grumble of her own.
What to do? What could he do? He supposed he could go back to one of the islands he hadn't gone to and explore those or maybe go hang out in War until they could go. War had agreed with him the most especially where aesthetics were concerned.
He lingered for a moment just to try and figure out what he was going to do next.

Danny did a little dance right where she was standing and hugged Rikki. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouuuu," she squealed arms still around him.
"I promise we can go somewhere else later okay?" She gave him a bear hug squeeze and then grabbed his wrist, barreling towards the portal. Who knew if she would actually keep the promise.

Shehk looked around again, just to be sure nobody was listening in on them again, frowning with some concern about it before she moved and put one arm around Amrita's shoulder, leaning in and whispering:
"In the library of the Death Isle, there is a book that is titled '1999'." she said, not pressing it further than that, but knowing Amrita would know why it was that the Pricolici felt it was important to share this. "I didn't get too good of a look at the inside, but it looked important." she added. "Drawings and stuff."
But also any sort of information to answer the Vetala's question about '1999' and what it had all meant. The number held no inquiry to Shehk, but she'd made a note to remember it for those who were investigating that particular tidbit of information.

Okay that was kind of worth it. Happy Danny was an adorable Danny. He hugged her back and followed her like an obedient boilfriend, hoping she stayed good on that promise. He didn't know how much of Death he was going to be able to take.

“Uh…” Hel scratched her chin. “You know…I am not sure, honestly! I did like Conquest after I adjusted…but I might want to visit Famine and War as well…just to say I did so, ya? How about you, friend?” Hel looked back at Shun. “Not ridiculous.” She replied. “What about you, Shun? Do you know your plans for the day?”

She allowed Shehk to do as she wanted, leaning a little closer in order to close the distance, to keep the apparent secret between the two of them. Her hand had curled up, pressing against the arm around her shoulders in an almost affectionate gesture.
As she suspected, it was something big. There was a book on the subject she was currently the most curious about. One that Invictus wouldn't go into details on, one that seemed so important somehow. Her grey eye widened at the news, and the knowledge wormed its way in like a bug; she was curious now, about this book. It existed. There was documentation of it! And it was there somewhere, on the Isle of Death. It was so close. She could go to the Isle now, when she couldn't before. She could find the book, she could figure out---
"Oh...Thank you." The gratitude was clear in her voice, turning a little bit to give the Pricolici a proper hug; a nice and tight one. Even if she couldn't find it now, it was something to work towards; something physical that actually existed, not a riddle or a secret. This information meant the world to her right now, one step closer to figuring out why this messed up world was the way it was.
"I'll look into it, Thanks." She withdrew from her fellow undead, stepping back and wrapping her arms in front of her to hold her elbows. "And...Shehk? I'm really sorry...for hitting you that one time, I didn't understand then but...I do now. I'm sorry."

(( Enter )) Staying longer? Not that Mort wasn't pleased with most of what he had seen of the Isles, but . . . His minipets! His friends left behind! HIS PROJECTS!
Well hopefully they could all continue fending for themselves until then. He sent off a few quick texts.AyeAvast Text to Bella: Looks like we're being delayed before coming back at least another day. I could still try getting a feather though. Or other things, I haven't' seen half the isles yet. Carhop Calvalier Text to Gene: Hope you're doing alright; looks like the trip is going to take an extra day or so, but I could get souvenirs. Spotting the familiar purple-haired boil from class, he approached while pocketing his phone. "Some trip," Mort commented. "Least for once are stuck in nice place, yes?"

Aksaja blinked at the news that they'd be staying for another day - a bit surprised, but not really disappointed. There was still plenty on the War island that he hadn't explored . . . and now he was thinking about at least visiting the other two islands before leaving. If they were allowed to, and all. Which, it seemed they were.
Also, it would give him some more time to spend with Zalaka, odd as that sounded. Smiling to himself, he headed for one of the portals.

Olivia was a little confused by the Conquest clansman's statement to the group of students, well this really wasn't nothing new. But, it didn't seem she was alone in the matter. Her brows pushed upwards, contemplating his words. They were not meant to leave? Or was these circumstances that had risen suddenly and randomly and delayed them.
This at least meant that they were able to stay within these lands, even if it were only for a day. Which meant Olivia didn't have to leave her new friends just yet; she was dreading it too, after all she wouldn't get the chance to see them everyday any longer least she managed to transfer.. which who knew when if or when that would happen.
Her blue eyes lit up as she instantly started to scan the gathered group to see who she could locate. With the abundance, it was a little hard to really tell. Several students already seemed to be leaving for specific islands, to spend their last day while others lingered like her to see who they could find. Briefly, she thought she saw the wisp of Willow's tail as she pressed through the crowd and looked.
Ouranos didn't seem like he would be hard to find, given his look but that idea wasn't playing out right. Did he have a phone like the others? She didn't know.
But there, leaning against the wall. Faustus. Olivia smiled and headed over. "We have one more day..." she smiled when she finally got to him.

"War? I believe you will enjoy it there. They're a group of proud warriors that live high up in trees," Shun tossed out before shrugging lightly at her denial of how the hat was. Suit herself. "I think I might see what Conquest is like. I'm waiting for Mitsu, though. I don't suppose you've seen her?"He had asked her before to keep an eye on the lupine girl after all.

And there it was - confirmation that telling Amrita had been the right course of action with that information. She'd confirmed that it was the right date with Chuppi when the book had been found and she'd confirmed with this that it was significant somehow. There were also hugs that came with it, so Shehk found herself hugging the Vetala back.
"I thought you could use that after you'd been asking about it and well....I hope it leads you somewhere. Especially with an extra day to look." she nodded, tail wagging. However, when Amrita pulled back away again, Shehk made a small face, curious. Was something on her mind?
It appeared there was because an apology she wasn't really expecting seemed to follow and Shehk found herself sighing.
"I kind of deserved it then. Panicking didn't help then, but I think I've come to accept that even if I'd been stronger there may have been nothing I could do for her." she sighed, her hand running over the piece of bone she wore on her wrist thoughtfully.
"But...I forgive you." she nodded.

Hugs were good for everyone! Hugs were nice, she was starting to like them more and more! The knowledge of the book was the greatest gift she had received in her entire life (except maybe the body she was wearing), and even moreso was the forgiveness that Shehk extended to her. Today was just full of awesome gifts! It was like giftmas, only better and without snow or being attacked by insane things.
"Thank you." That gained another opportunity for a hug, and the Vetala took it, patting the other ghoul gently on the back, something that Lizzy did to her that made her feel all sorts of better. "Be careful out there, okay?" Amrita said, withdrawing again. It seemed like the proper thing to end the conversation on. Well, that and;
"But Conquest is super pretty, I hope you like it! Just uh...don't be too loud, or I swear their eyes turn into daggers!" Amrita was trying really hard to not just go running for the nearest portal; she needed things first. Things like backup, and perhaps that Kelpie that she was pretty sure was wandering over there, in her peripheral vision. " W-well...I'll see you around! Thanks again!"

Mei was happy to be going home. She couldn't wait to see Goop and Minsks again and tell them all about her time on the isle of Conquest. How pretty and cultured it seemed.
As she arrived in the portal area though she frowned slightly seeing the clansmen there. Her frown only deepened when the announcement had been made that they all couldn't go home just yet. Well, she supposed spending another day here wouldn't be all that bad. Perhaps she would visit the other two islands that she hadn't gone to.
Ever curious, she stood there biting her bottom lip just slightly as she tried to decide what to do in with this extra time they were given. It wasn't before long before she finally headed off.
