She did end up going to sit on her 'claimed' bed, curled up with the phone, as to keep from being that lingering person who was completely buried into their phone in public.
Because if she frowned at her phone in public any more than she was, questions would be asked. And it wasn't like she wasn't enjoying being teased, but it still got that gut frown reaction.Blade Kuroda Text to Jericho: =(

"Hello Xiu. It's nice to meet you." He watched her bow, and he looked to the ground, wondering if she dropped something, before she rose back up. Guessing this was a way she introduced people, he clasped his hands together and did the same thing, before rising, and looking back at his hands, unclasped them. Hmm. That was weird, but he never got hand shaking either.
"You're hair is very beautiful and white. If you were a kelpie, you'd be fought over all the time." And if Calder was the type, he would have been one of the bachelors fighting with the others. "May I touch it?"

Finished texting, Faustus looked up. Other students were beginning to file into the dorms, and he almost thought he saw a familiar face in the crowd. He leaned forward, peering out the door.
By Jack, it couldn't be Olivia, could it!?? ...
A warm smile spread along his lips at the sight of his familiar friend making her way over. At least he wouldn't be entirely alone again. Maybe they could even take the time to meet some others here.
"Olivia, over here!" he called out, grinning wide. "Nice to see you!"
Just then however, a slight vibration in the left front pocket of his pants alerted him to a text. In fact, it kept vibrating. Was Amarus having trouble?? ... He slipped his skellyphone out curiously, opening it to find he had four messages, in rather broken text.
After a moment of blinking and puzzlement, Faustus finally chuckled. He'd have to remember to give Amarus a Texting 101 course the next time they met.
Face your demons Yes! U r texting ^o^ ... I'm not sure what's happening, but glad u r having fun ^^ Oh & I just found out Olivia is here 2!

Shun was being awfully quiet, though the baku knew that that was just how her big brother was--he never was one to waste words. She cast him a bright smile before she turned to look at Calder, her expression became surprised at his request. Her...her hair?
"I, um, you may!" She didn't see any harm in it, after all. She took a small step forward and tilted her head so that the Kelpie could touch her hair. As she obediently held still, her gaze flickered up towards the boil, mulling over his words. What had he said? About her white hair? Ever curious in the customs of different races, she piped up with a thoughtful, "Does the color of one's hair mean a lot in Kelpie culture?"

Demon_pachabel Text to Shehk: If only you could see the grin on my face right now. --- This was definitely kind of weird. Shun stared at the two of them, not really sure what to make of Calder's sudden obsession with Xiu's hair. But.. it didn't seem to bother her so he didn't say anything of it. The color thing must have been a Kelpie thing like the Baku guessed. It still came off as odd to him. So, he just took a moment to toss his belongings onto one of the beds in the room next to him, then turned back towards the others.

"Not really. Most mares and young boils have white hair. Its just you have kept your hair very long and white, and that's something that's attractive." He reached out, letting his hand brush against her cheek and into her hair, smiling. "A kelpie that looks very beautiful is one that attracts more Fear by luring humans to them. Our mane is very important to us, and a mare who can keep her hair the whitest and lovely such as yours is usually fought over. If she's strong, then she has a nice harem." He smiled, touching a lock between his fingers.
Then he removed his slender hands from the ghoul's hair, smiling. "You should have spent another week in War, Shun. I think you're going to get a workout fighting off some boils." He said, smiling at the boil before looking to the side rooms. "Oh, we get rooms?"

The baku's tail flicked behind her as she listened to Calder's explanation with interest. Oh, so that's how it was! Yes, she could see how being able to lure in humans was very important for a Kelpie, and--
"Harem?" Xiu echoed, pink eyes widening questioningly. Though the word did sound vaguely familiar--from where, she was not certain--the ghoul couldn't quite recall what the meaning was. She looked between Calder and Shun with a rather confused expression, though she cleared it with a shake of her head, turning her attention to the rooms instead.
"Yes, we get rooms here! Which was quite nice, truth be told. While she had enjoyed her stay on the Isle of Conquest, the fact that some of the students had punched holes through the paper walls that had divided their "rooms" had been a little...well. "Were you with aniki on the Isle of War last week, Calder?"

Demon_Pachabel Text to Shehk: Haha. True enough. --- Shun didn't seem to be particularly amused with the harem comment. Xiu with a harem? He didn't really like that idea all too much. Granted, she already had a number of boys swooning over her before. It seemed to have calmed down as far as he knew. "..Right. I already do that to some extent," he said flatly before nodding to Calder, "Indeed. It seems a few people could fit in one."

Relief washed over Olivia when the fire demon called her over. Part of her was telling her to stay away because of his attribute but she wasn't going to balk from a friendly and familiar face, she was going to cling and linger. Faustus was nice, that's what mattered.
"It-it's really good to see you too," she muttered, a little distress in her voice. She looked to a moment at the wall he was standing near, noticing they were next to what were probably the forges pounding away. There was a little bit of heat radiating off of it and she tried her best to ignore it.
"Is Amarus here?" Might as well ask, she hadn't seen the lotus eater around and was curious. Who else from Conquest was here, she had to wonder as she began to fidget with her hands.

"Yup. Shun was with me fighting up in the treetops. Making weapons, meditating, and getting pummels for an entire week." He pointed to the bruise on his cheek. "We were pretty much tenderized by the end of it." He looked around. "Wondering if we'll have something like that here." While he was here to learn and get stronger, it didn't really seem like a fighting community here. Then again, he might be proven wrong.
At the fit of giggles, he noticed Shehk again. "Shehk was with us too, giggling at her phone like she is now." He trotted over to the room Shehk was in, and sat down beside her, trying to read her screen. "Soooo.....Still writing to Jericho?" She didn't seem to have let go of her phone since he last saw her.

"Hey! Looks like we chose the same class this week too!"
Shehk looked up when Calder trotted into the room she'd camped out in to join her, grinning at his inquiry.
"You've caught me! I most certainly am." she answered, her tail thumping against the bed. "He's pretty attentive so it makes it fun to do. Maybe it's a good thing that they won't let us text outside of the dorms or I'd not be paying attention in class in lieu of it.." she scratched at the stitches below her ear.
"Even if right now he's teasing me like a jerk."

Calder looked back down at the phone and pouted. "I wish I had friends who were attentive. I get stuck with a lazy boilfriend and a patchwork who won't text me. You're so lucky, even if he teases you."
He then looked across the room, and then back at her. "Why doesn't Jericho ever text me?"

"Punch 'em in the teeth for not getting back to you." Shehk suggested smacking the side of her hand holding up her phone into her open hand to fake a 'punching' motion
"I can think of why he's texting me and not you." She made a face.
Was it a secret?
Was it not a secret? She was going to hope it wasn't a secret. Maybe she should have checked.
"I'd say it's because he's not dating you." Shehk finally finished, scratching her nose. "That, and I keep texting him first." she added as a bit of a saving grace. Though he had been the one to text her goodbye the week prior. All sorts of warm fuzzies happening there.
