Robert let out a roar and grabbed the penguin by his little neck, both thick hands wrapped around the bird and shaking it thoroughly.
"DIE YOU LITTLE PIECE OF s**t!" He didn't know why the boss had just named it after Jerry, but it was going to die regardless.

"AAAAAAAAAAH STOP STOP STOP STOP!" Madison shrieked, leaping at Robert and pounding on him with her hands balled up into fists. "Ennea, help me!!"

Jordan intercepted the attempted choking. "Robert. Don't kill the penguin. I'm fairly sure it's actually Jerry. Which would, you know, explain the biting."

Before Jerry even had a chance to give a relieved quack at Jordan's proclamation, there was suddenly almost three hundred pounds of human upon him and OH DEAR LORD HE WAS GOING TO DIE.
The penguin gave a strangled quack of terror, flapping and kicking in a mad effort to be freed, twisting his head to try to bite fingers but the grip was too strong and the world was growing dark and he couldn't breath and he just wanted a fish....

"Okay!" Ennéa shouted back at Maddie. "Robert, don't kill it!!!" She grabbed Robert's other arm and attempted to get him to stop choking the penguin. She was significantly smaller though so all she really managed to do was hang off his beefy arm.

It was the shock of everybody being able to grab him that stopped him from killing Jerry, and he looked at all three of them, one at a time, eyes wide with shock.
"You.. you.. you guys can SEE ME?" Had he lost his superpower already? s**t, did it need charging? WHERE WAS HIS LANTERN HE NEEDED TO GO CHARGE s**t s**t s**t-
....
Turning back to the penguin, Robert took in Jordan's words, finally. And then a beat passed, before Robert smacks the penguin right in the face, and walked away.
"Where the ******** is my lantern."

The penguin hit the snow, feathers askew and beak cracked to gasp for air, a long, shrill, pained sound croaking from his abused throat.
But... but at least... they knew it was him and Robert wasn't trying to kill him anymore?
Weakly, trembling, he kicked his flippers to try to get back up onto his feet, shaking himself off and instantly regretting it as pain shot down his spine. Doing his best injured bird, he dragged himself to the fallen glasses, picking them up in his bill to try to push them into Jordan's hand with the saddest of Warks.

"Why the ******** do you want a lantern?!" Madison burst out, crouching down next to Jerry-penguin and sheltering him protectively. "There, there... it's okay, um. Sorry about... um... are you really Jerry? Really?" she asked, with utmost awkwardness.

Jordan accepted the glasses, a little bemusedly. "You probably shouldn't have bitten him," he said. "Do the glasses work on bird eyes, or should I just hang onto them? Uh ..." Something occurred to him. "Jerry. Where are your clothes?"

"Lantern what? What is going on?" Ennéa was utterly confused. She knelt down in the snow next to Maddie. "You mean, this penguin actually is Jerry not just named after him?" she asked Jordan.
She turned to look at penguin Jerry. "Oh my gosh! What happened to him? Was he cursed? Are we under attack?!" Ennéa looked around warily. "Will they turn us into penguins too??"

There was a lot of yelling. Saya, with her blanket and watered-down drink, she noticed that several members of Phoenix were standing around. Why were they standing around? She walked slowly over, noting the little footsteps she made in the snow.
What fun times, making footsteps~
She heard the last of Ennea's words.
"Cursed.. Will they turn us into penguins too?"
Penguins .. her eyes widened in excitement, thinking, she was going to get the chance to see a penguin!

Already on his way back to the tent, Robert stopped when he saw Saya coming closer, and his face furrowed in frustration. He was invisible, he was. He was. He really was. If he just believed in himself, he knew he could do this.
So he walked right up to Saya, and started waving his hands frantically in front of her like a waving lunatic. His eyes were bugged out, staring at hers in hopes of seeing no recognition of his presence.

The penguin in question gave a helpless shrug before blinking, trying to remember the importance of said shrug. Clothes? Penguins didn't wear clothes. Silly Jordan. At least he thought it was Jordan. He cocked his head to one side before nibbling on the end of the Phoenix leader's coat. Jordan was always full of good things, he would definitely have a fish, right? Right.
And then there were voices- who was...? The penguin gave a shy quack before shuffling to hide behind Jordan's ankles.

Saya stood there blankly, as Robert waved in front of her. Her eyebrows shot straight up, turning her head and seeing .. nobody behind her. Okay, he was looking at her then. She should wave back. But waving back didn't make sense. Unless it was a secret code.
Speaking of colds, it reminded her of the word "cold."
Oh. Oh.
She reached out, to tentatively place her hand on his forehead, with a awkwardly placed, tiny little smile. Perhaps the cold was affecting him. Or he got really high off the cold. or the cold weather was driving him a little off the edge.
It was clear that Saya did not know what to do with Robert snow version one. But she tried her best.

UUUUUUUUGH. Robert's arms froze in the air when Saya reached out to touch his forehead, and he dropped them in defeat, his entire body shrugging downward. "I give up." He whined, reaching out to put his arm around her shoulder and leading her over to Jordan. He deposited the girl there, despite still keeping his shoulders hunched and his head dropped low in defeat.
"Boss, we found another Phoenix." He murmured, before falling to the ground in a pile and lamenting his tragic loss.
