Climbing the ladder? Well, it was worth another shot. And Yin really was not afraid of heights....so long as they did not involve elevators. Elevators could just...be for other people. If anything he would just scale the tree.
This time the arrows did not shock him quite as much, as he was beginning to become accustomed to the tactics of the war clan. He decided to keep going, curious to reach the top.

Well, he was not afraid of heights, but a look down confirmed that the ground was so very far away. Which brought to mind the cliff he had scaled during one of the obstacles. And the accompanying fall.
But he was certainly not afraid! He would not be backing down the ladder. So perhaps...perhaps he would just hang out right here for a few moments. Yes, that certainly did seem like a good idea.

She had decided yesterday that she would make it a point to scale to the observation point at least once during her week long stay with the Horsemen of War's Clan. Grabbing onto the swinging ladder, Edel slowly and carefully made her way up, thankful that there were no sudden gusts of wind to send her flying into the spears that lined the surrounding area. Now would you look at that, she had already climbed past the danger zone and gotten further than she did yesterday.
And immediately, she knew she had spoken too soon.
Clinging onto the ladder tightly, the ghoul made her way back down, all too amazed that she hadn't been struck by any of those arrows that had just flown out of nowhere.

Once again, the frost demon wished she had a pair of wings to fly as she watched another horsewoman ascending effortlessly to the top. Though on second thought, that wouldn't have stopped the arrows from coming. Oh well.

Riley had hoped for a better experience at the observation point, once the horsemen had gotten all of the arrow shooting out of their system. When she returned, she found, quickly enough, that they had not yet done so. Arrows zipped through her tentacles, one of them ripping a bandage clear off and taking it with the tip of the arrow itself. While she wanted to be awed at the skill of that shot, she was too busy burying her exposed silver skin under the writhing mass of tentacles behind her head.

Riley did not so much as lose her nerve on her second try, as much as she simply thought it better to head back down and replace her bandages. The last thing she wanted was for a horsemen to have a viable target in the color of her corrupted skin.. followed a one way ticket out of the Isles for good.

Ulmuka didn't want to climb. He'd prefer flying but the way was lined with spears and weapons of all kinds. He slowly worked his way up the ladder, clinging when it started to sway, and then inching up further.
His trip was slow going.
He wasn't afraid of heights, not with wings, but or some reason when he glanced downwards, his head began to swim. What was this awful feeling?! The strix clung tighter on the rope and didn't move again for quite some time.

Muka finally began to climb again. It dismayed him to see the War clan members weaving around in the sky so easily. The weapons were sharp and he was worried he'd hurt himself if he flew. Instead he helplessly clung to the ladder.
Feeling his mood drop, the strix decided he wasn't going to climb the ladder at all. He'd go find somewhere else to explore.
Somewhere that didn't make him doubt his abilities.

Alex decided to come back again the next day, since he had such a nice time up at the top of the observation point the day prior. However, as he looked up that long, swinging rope ladder, he was reminded of just how much work it had been to get up to the top last time.
Regardless, he was stubborn, and he had decided he wanted to get up to the top once again. His climb up was slow, and steady, and he again had students that he had to pass as they either stayed in one place, possibly taking a break, or decided they wished to go back down.
It was slow going, and when he looked to the sky and saw one lone horsemen flying gracefully to the top, he did wonder what it might be like to be able to fly...
But then he remembered the obstacle course from the day before and decided he didn't really like it all that much.

Alex inched his way further upwards, stopping from time to time to have a quick peek at the world below. He was getting rather high now, though a glance up showed that he still had much further to go. Oh and, there was Yin above him as well.
"Yin?" he called, as he grabbed ahold of the next rung and hauled himself further upwards, and then another rung to go up yet again. He swung himself around so that he was on the opposite side of the ladder from the boil, stopping when they were face to face. Ah, this was nice, he didn't even have to look down at him for once! He would have to move out of the way if anybody else came along though, of course.
"How's it going?" He asked with a large grin, his eyes once again wandering towards the lone warrior flying in the sky.
"They make it look much too easy." He pointed out, nodding his head toward the flyer.

Mitzi stood in front of the observation point, eyeing it like it was some type of hunter that was going to try to attack her. She had not enjoyed her first attempt to climb to the top, but after her earlier attempt with Roch, she felt like she could try again on her own. He'd kept her distracted while she climbed, but could she do it by herself?
She started climbing, this time making sure not to look down. She could make it, she could make it... If her parents would have read scareling books to her when she was young, she would probably have been thinking of "The Little Skeleton that Could". As it was, she just focused on putting one hand in front of the other, and was shortly surprised to find she had reached the top.

She spent a little time looking around the observation platform, but staying back from the edge. She had felt a thrill when she realized she'd reached the top, but that wore off quickly enough. She was a little surprised to see in the distance many War clan members, decked out in their full weaponry, heading into the portal. That was odd... and that was where she had seen others heading the day before, now that she thought about it. She wondered what they were all doing, but not enough to stay long.

Shun had still been at the top when he realized someone else was up here as well. Turning around, he spotted another reaper there, but he wasn't entirely familiar with her. He had seen her around, here and there, but hadn't spoken with her or anything of the matter. In any case, he was mildly impressed that she had made it up. The climb wasn't exactly an easy one after all.

Turning, she noticed the other Reaper, and gave him a weak smile. The longer she was up here, the more the height was starting to bother her. "Hi," she offered, not sure if he wanted to be disturbed, so she left it at that for now.

The ghoul was just starting to think she ought to head down before the height started affecting her too much, when she spotted something odd on the floor, luckily well away from the edge. She reached down to check it, and was surprised to find another of the stones like the one she had found at the obstacle course. She stashed it with the first, wondering what exactly they were for, and took one last look around.
