Herryk gave the Vetala a concerned look when she seemed to hurt herself, though he relaxed when she seemed to be fine.
"Herryk is going to the dorms as well." He hadn't brought much with him, but he desperately wanted to send Freya a text. He missed his ghoulfriend, but at least there were familiar faces here. Plenty to do, as well.
"Herryk will meet everyone back here later? It will be interesting to see what else there is to learn."

"sounds like a plan. I'll see you all in a bit." Their was plenty left still to explore after all.
VERY slowly, Calder touched whatever branches he could get a hold of and moved off the platform. It seemed travel for the kelpie would be a nervous snail's pace at best, but he was taking Herryk's word in mind and wanted to impress the horsemen to show he wasn't clinging to someone else the entire time.
I'm strong. I'm tough. I'm brave. I can walk on my own. This mantra of ego boosting did not stop him from whimpering whenever a strong breeze passed through the trees or the floorboards creaked a bit too much.
With that, Calder headed off to the dorms.

"Do you need help?" Amrita inquired. Changing bandages by yourself, especially head bandages, must be difficult! Plus, you know, she really wanted to help.
"It's not rude." She assured Muka, trying to not turn green with nausea at the thought of flying. Lucien took her flying once...it didn't go so well. At all. "Have fun!" As the Strix flew off, Amrita looked away, squeezing her eyes shut. Euuugh.
"Bye Herryk! Be careful, see you later, Calder~" Both boils got a wave and then she waited patiently for Shun's answer.

Parts of their little group broke away as people went on their way elsewhere. Shun merely nodded to them, then turned his attention back to Amrita, mildly surprised at her offer. While he preferred to do things on his own and tried not to get too much help, this was something that he may need some assistance with. Especially if the dormitory had no mirrors for whatever reason.
"Some help may be nice," he replied before turning to walk on out of the crafting corner, "Let's get going then."

"Okay!" The ghoul got to her backwards feet and shuffled out of the crafting corner with Shun, trying not to be so obvious that she was trembling. Onto the dorms!

The Stadium:There is a small stadium for young War Horsemen set up away from the larger training fields, several circles set out for pairs to spar against each other in. A rather rugged looking female stands, dark skinned, light haired, covered in scars and warpaint, her hair unevenly cut in the back to a short length and ridiculously long and braided in the front, wrapped around itself, several feathers tucked into both it and the dark stained fabric, bones from several different types of creatures weaved into jewelry she wears, her wings colored like a golden eagle. On one arm, she has several slashes of paint – what looks like hundreds, trailing down it. After staring too long she finally speaks up:
“There is one for each battle I have won.” She said simply, shifting the pole she held to her other hand before turning to show her other arm, which is spotted with paint of a different color – and much more numerous. “I have one for each battle I have lost as well. To become a true warrior, you must climb your way to the top from the very bottom, and the best place to start is practicing against those who may just be better than you.” She explained, before motioning to one of the circles and an individual that was practicing on their own.
“Go join them.” She says, “If you think you’re ready. If you win, you will be paired up with the winner of another spar. So on, and so forth. After five victories, a break will be allowed for the day.” She says, the only explanation she gives as she hands off a small staff.Mechanics There are 5 roundsRoll 2d8 each post First dice is how hard you hit Second dice is how hard the opponent hit You want to roll higher than your NPC opponent. If you roll a tie roll a tiebreaker between them (same as the above) If you lose a match any matches you roll -for fun- afterwards cannot be counted towards points, but you can keep rolling spars! Please fill in each of your posts with a small summary of how your spar went! It could be more than one hit, despite having only rolled one! Have fun with it! Horsemen Points Distribution [ Horsemen Points Distribution: ] (Select only one option based on your results) You win one point if you get to rounds 1 or 2! You win two points if you get to round 3 or 4! You win all three points if you get to round 5 (or higher if you keep rolling for fun!)

After a bit more exploration, Shun found his way in the stadium. There were several clansmen around, sparring in pairs. The primary class was all about combat, and he wanted to make sure he was at the top of his game if possible. And thus, he made his approach, waiting to battle with one of the others in the area.
The Reaper bowed to his opponent, then got ready to fight.

His opponent immediately went for his left side. Shun couldn't see it coming, so he couldn't react in time and was beaten to the ground. Quite frankly, it was incredibly jarring to him, to have lost so quickly and easily. Slowly, he pushed himself back to his feet before deciding to leave. He felt too ashamed to continue right now.

After taking a walk around, Shun had returned to the stadium to find himself another opponent. He was aware that his left side was a glaring weakness right now. But.. there was really only one way he knew how to get past that. This was to basically beat that weakness out of him.
Taking in a deep breath, he approached his opponent.

This time around, Shun had tried to keep up his defensive, to be as aware of what was coming from the left as possible. It helped a bit, as he didn't end up being struck down immediately. In fact, he managed to trade a few blows. However, he slipped up. The horseman managed to successfully feign an attack only to strike him hard across the left side of his head.
Hissing sharply in pain, the Reaper clutched his head as he went down. That was dangerously close to hitting him across his wound.

Breathing heavily, Shun pushed himself back up once the pain in his head went away. No. He wasn't done here yet. The Reaper approached another opponent, challenging her for a spar.

Though his head was still aching, Shun ignored the pain in the mean time to focus on the fight. Over all, his body was fairly sore from the previous two battles he had been in. Because of this, he watched his opponent carefully. At the start, he evaded and blocked her attacks, getting a feel for her rhythm. Then, at one key moment, he saw her coming in.
Stepping to the side, he redirected her attack past him before striking her hard across the throat with his hand. It was enough to grant him a victory.
Closing his eye, he was feeling a bit better now. Still, he needed more training.

Entering
Calder walked into the platform, looking to the circles were sevearl young ghouls were taking staffs and fighting closely. He stood there, amazed by their skill, simply gauwking. If this was unnearing to the ghouls he was staring at, he didn't notice, but watched as they matched their attacks with swings, blocks, and quick jabs. THIS was skill. Whatever poking and jabbing he had been doing with his makeshift knife back in the crafting platform had looked like scarling flailing compared to this.
As much as he admired them, the instructor didn't seem to care for letting her pupils have an audience, and called him over to show off her tattoos. It was amazing, not only because he didn't get to see tattoos (damaging ones pure white skin was not done in his clan), but there were so many! Clearly her body was a work of art in the form of practice, victory, failure, and acceptance. His eyes practically sparkled as he looked up at her in admiration.
This was interrupted by a point to a nearby circle and it's lone opponent, and a staff offered to him.
Standing awkwardly with his staff, he adjusted to get a good grip, before looking at the horsemen in the circle with him. She was about his age, but he could just tell by looking at her how comfortable she was with the staff. She was a ghoul that grew up fighting, taught by generations of fighters. It was a whole history of those just as tattooed as their instructor, and it was intimidating to say the least.
The horsemen wasted no time, and swung at him, but he blocked by sheer instinct alone.

**Tie Breaker for Round 1**
He....He blocked it! He couldn't believe he managed to block it.
A smile broke on his face at seeing their staves locked, but then just like that he felt something hit his legs and the sky flew over as he hit the ground. He hadn't lasted one round with the ghoul.
Groaning, he slowly sat up, rubbing the back of his head and collecting what had happened. It seemed in that split second he was surprised at even managing to block her attack, she continued on to the next and took the legs from right under him. He looked up at her, and still felt greatly impressed if not having his pride torn that much more. He really had no idea what he was doing, but he still wanted to learn.
"Can we try again?" He asked, to which the ghoul looked at him, nodded, and resumed her place to wait for him to stand.
Rising, Calder picked up his staff.

Roll for Fun 1:
Calder took a stance he felt would be his most sturdy. Maybe just having good footing would keep him in place. She came at him again, and he shot his staff out in a similar jab he had done with the leather mannequin back in the craft platform. It was very straight forward but quick. While it hit the ghoul on the side, she quickly knocked it away and hit him harder in turn on his side.
He stepped back, rubbing his side, but held his staff out with his other hand as he gritted his teeth.
