Sasha stood on the other side of the doorway with a puzzled look on her face.
"My.. my garbage?"
She eyed the bag.
"Ah.. thanks? I .. I uh, I wasn't aware it'd .. I didn't know it was so full."
Sasha cleared her throat and stepped past Jerry, moving back inside the dorm. "Well, ah. Here's your drink, then."

"Ah... ah thank you! I'll justputthisoutandberightbackumthankyou!!" He babbled, backing out the door backwards before suddenly running down the hall.

Sasha frowned slightly as Jerry took off.
He was acting so strange! Had she embarrassed him when she'd kissed his cheek?
Sasha fretted over the possibility as she waited for Jerry's return.

Mission accomplished. Evidence destroyed. Just relax. He made his way back slowly. Deep breaths. He could handle this like an adult.
He wanted to sit in a cold shower and cry.
No one would know.
Just... just act cool.
"Um. There, that's better, right? Ahahaha um. Um. I'm. Um." Why was he here again? Right. Worried. Checking in on his friend. Oh god, how could he even face her?

Sasha just gave Jerry a confused look.
"Did.. did I say or ah.. do something wrong? I'm.. if I did, I'm sorry, Jerry."
She held out the drink, watching him carefully. She was desperately trying to recall when things had gotten a little.. awkward. Nothing specific came to mind.

"N-no! No not at all!" Jerry nearly spilled his tea, "I'm just... just a little... I'm relieved you're alright," He covered as though that explained it.

"It's not like you're helping," He whispered heatedly under his breath.

Sasha wasn't convinced. However, she was convinced that it was her fault.
"Ahh." She sipped at the cool tea before clearing her throat again.
"Like I said. I'll .. I'll be fine, Jerry. I'm um. Thanks."

He shifted, staring down at his tea like a child who knew he had been bad but had somehow gotten away with it and it was eating away at him inside. He drew in a sharp breath, "i'm... I'm sorry... I'm... I'm a... a weird guy, I didn't mean to um. You... you probably need your sleep um. If... if you need anything, and I mean anything... I... I should go."

Sasha couldn't help but feel a strange mixture of hurt and befuddlement. She shouldn't have kissed his cheek. That's what this was all about.
"Don't be sorry. I'm.. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have.. you know." She gestured at her cheek. "Kissed your cheek. It's ah.. well. It was nice to visit with you, Jerry. And.. thanks for listening to me play." She cleared her throat.
A slight frown bowed her lips down at the corners; otherwise her expression remained stoic. What had she been thinking?

He bit his lip, "It's... it's n-not that!" It was totally that. Straw that broke the camels' back. She aughta' be apologizing, taking advantage of a madman like you. Jerry clenched his eyes shut, flinching to the side, shut up shut up shut up. "I... I'd really like to um. To play with you sometime. Um. Music! Music um. M-m-molly and... Molly and I had talked about... about wrangling Otto into a Band Practice sometime between missions and... and since you have your flute now... ah... you.. you could join us!" That sounded safe, right? His heart was racing, aching in his chest. He tried to take a sip of ice tea, but only managed to send it spilling down his front.

Sasha drew her lower lip between her teeth. He was acting so strange; all Sasha wanted was for things to be the way they were before - and if her friendly kiss against his cheek hadn't been what had made things awkward, what had?
"Okay, Jerry," she mumbled quietly, wringing her hands together. "I-if it would m-make you happy, I would join in.."
Ughh, just terrible. She wanted to see him smile again.

"No no no no, I want you to be happy, alright!" His smile returned, wobbling a bit at the edges. Oh god, he had screwed it all up, stupid stupid stupid. "And... and... and if... if you need to talk to anyone..." He blotted at the tea on his shirt awkwardly.

The instant the smile returned, Sasha brightened and moved to scoop up some tissues from the nearby box. Okay, maybe she'd been overreacting to his sudden change in mood - but he'd smiled again. It was a little shaky, but it was a smile.
Sasha started dabbing at the front of his shirt with the tissues.
"It would make me happy to play with everyone! A-and.. gosh, I hope your shirt doesn't stain."
