§«≈₹ Takai Tokugawa ₹≈»§ Takai really wasn't surprised to see that Glo had been listening in on his conversation with Tamathia. Glo did seem to be the type to do that whenever possible. One advantage to that was that it wouldn't be necessary for Takai to explain the situation to Glo. "Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated," Takai stated politely, "If you would, can you tell me how long it's been since you've seen any of your friends who are missing? Do you know what they had been planning to do at the time?" Takai was reasoning that if he could determine the intentions of the missing demons and those intentions were the same or similar, such as going to the same place, then he might have a solid lead on what might have led to their respective disappearances.

Glo's ears swiveled as, out in the club, Goldie had moved onto "Fever," Oh, I love this song. She glanced at her audience and froze a moment before resuming her grooming, Oh, right. I was supposed to meet a friend of mine, Profius and go clubbing but he blew me off. At least, that's what I thought and I was quite irritated. I went to where he was staying at the time and I couldn't find him. There was, however a very odd smell. Kind of sweet...but not in a good way. I hated it immediately, that scent. She huffed in irritation, It was about a month ago.

"Now that's interesting, because a similar thing happened to me about three, maybe four months ago," Tamathia stated, "I had gone to the home of my friend Azazakar. Perhaps you know him. He was posing as a religious leader and was running a cult by the name of 'The Blessed Chapel of the Holy Light of Divine Wisdom'. I had left something of some value to me the last time I had been there, and since I had been in the neighborhood, I decided to pick it up. I noticed a sweet but disturbing smell when I went in. At the time I had thought that it was a perfume, and that Azazakar was 'enligtening' one of the female members of his cult, if you know what I mean. No one was there, though, and so I found what I had been looking for and I had let myself out." The thing that had gone unsaid was the fact that if she had found Azazakar in bed with one of the female cultists, she would have been in bed with them faster than he could have said 'Please join us'. Tamathia then went on to say, "Now that I think about it, that cult of his appears to have fallen apart now, probably because he has disappeared, and I think that the police want to question him about certain allegations made by a couple of the females that had been in the cult."

Glo huffed again at the mention of Azazakar; he cheated at cards something fierce. She supposed it wouldn't be kosher to bring that up now....but he was a dirty, dirty cheater. She still to this day had no clue why she'd consented to play Strip Poker with him that one time. Despite that, she was distressed to hear that he too had been claimed by whatever it was that was doing this.
"I will help." Came a new voice. Goldie stood in the kitchen doorway, looking at the small gathering there, "I will help you find what is going wrong. If nothing else, I will provide the braun; I'm not much of an investigator."
Amadeus stood behind her, looking anxious, "This will be dangerous, Velvet. Let them handle it." He murmured.
Goldie tossed a glare at her brother, "Don't treat me like a baby. I am not even the youngest person in this room."

"That would be you, Takai," Tamathia gleefully announced for all the world to hear, "Just so that you know. As for me,, let's just say that I'm old enough to be your great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great..." She paused long enough to take a deep breath and then continued, "...great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great..." Tamathia was then interrupted when Takai irritably stated, "Alright already! I got the picture!" She then gave him an impish smile as she added, "Again just so that you know."

"Well, that is just fabulous. I've already done all the public announcements. My customers will be very disappointed when they hear you won't be singing tonight. You know you're their favorite performer!" Amadeus commented, feeling put out.
Goldie's shoulders slumped a bit and she sighed, "I will keep my promise, brother. But I plan to see this through, I want this problem resolved." She replied, ignoring the fact that her comment had sent the conversation careening off topic.
I want to see you perform. But that is hours away. Glo piped up then her attention turned back to Takai, What's our first move, Chief?

Tamathia nodded in approval and said, "That's a good idea. Let's get cracking, though. Goldie has a performance tonight, and I have a previous engagement." She waved a hand in the air, and her scandalously risque outfit changed into a significantly more modest ensemble that was commonly worn by many of the female students at the local college. Tamathia then explained, "One of my current lovers is a man who is under the impression that I'm a freshman coed who is so infatuated with him that I wouldn't even dream of asking him any probing questions. He thinks that I think that he is divorced, but I know better than that. In fact, I know all of his dirty little secrets, along with one that he doesn't know about yet."

Goldie nodded and turned, nearly running into her brother's chest. She looked up when she gripped her arms, "I will be fine." She assured him immediately.
Amadeus wasn't happy. He hadn't been enthusiastic when she initially told him what her day job was either, but he'd kept quiet about it. He knew his sister could take care of herself; she took more after their father, after all, but it still made him nervous. He swallowed and nodded, placing a quick kiss on her forehead before moving out of the way.
Glo hopped down from the counter and as she passed Amadeus, We will have her back.
Amadeus nodded silently before looking at his other two guests.

"I've thought about bringing my lover here," Tamathia remarked, "But I'm not supposed to be of legal drinking age, which means that I shouldn't know about a place like this, except by reputation. Not that I would have let that stop me if I was that young. Maybe if I drop enough subtle hints, he might take a hint and invite me here, thinking that it's his idea."

Amadeus nodded once to Takai then shook his head at Tamathia, his mouth twisted in amusement.
Outside, Glo led Goldie down the street.
"Shouldn't we wait for the others?" Goldie asked, ignoring an inquisitve look she recieved from a passing gentleman.
They'll catch up with us. They are probably reassuring your brother that you will be brought back safe and sound.
Goldie huffed, "Honestly..."
Don't knock it. There are a large number of us who have no family to worry what happens to us. Glo pointed out.
Goldie sighed, "Right." she conceded quietly.

It didn't take long for them to catch up to the other two. In an effort to strike up a conversation, he asked Glo, "How long have you and Profius known each other?"

Glo's ears swiveled before she answered, He is older than me, so....my whole life! She was surprised by that and more horrified. If those things could take on Profius, what hope did they have? Her hackles rose at the thought and she had to shake the thought loose from herself.
