The girl yawned and covered her mouth with her right hand, putting her left arm across her chest. "Yeah, I don't feel like it." She said. "I don't get anything out of helping people, and they fear me anyway. So, I don't help people." She shrugged.
She then thought a moment and said, "Unless... you can beat me in a fight, maybe then I'll help you." She was quite bored and a fight would liven things up a little bit, she did chase away several humans a while ago and had seen none for a while.

"Ha, Well, I am a teacher, all I do is educate," Keine shook her head, but seeing as how the girl would most likely not give in, she figured it was best to just give her what she wanted. The were-hakutaku sighed," Fine as you wish, I will fight you, but If I win you will come along."

The mermaid grinned and jumped back onto the water, standing on its surface. She raised up her hands and two pillars of water formed up. She threw her hands forward at Kein and the towers began to break apart, throwing blue knife-like danmaku at Keine.

Keine observed, she was planning on ending this quickly but she needed a bit of time to prepare all three of her cards. The teacher dashed sideways, quite agile for someone in her proffesion.
Picking to set her defense up first, she conjured her card mid dash," Land Sign ~ Three Sacred Treasures- Orb!" Keine had to graze a few danmaku until the sacred orb Yasakani no Magatama appeared circling her.
The orb did quite well blocking all of the danmaku. One down two to go. Keine stood her ground now, sending a blast of Danmaku from her orb as she begun to prepare forthe second treasure

As the orbs blasts came closer to the mermaid, she swung her hands in front of her and the water formed up and made a wall which blocked most of the blasts. She then threw her hand up, a card in it this time. "Fishing Sign "Harpooning the Fish Hidden in the Mist"!" She called. The river began to shift and made it's way around Keine, not on her, in sort of a bowl shape. Waves of blue, aura like danmaku began to float across the space that Keine was in. The mermaid, outside the bowl, lifted up her hand and a watery trident appeared in it. She pulled back and launched the harpoon in at Keine. As soon as the trident touched the water bowl, she made another one, floated over to a different location around the bowl, and threw a second one at her. Of course, the water around Keine wouldn't stop attacks from hitting the girl.

Keine looked from side to side, watchig as the water bowled around her. Paranoia struck the half-beast, if she were to attack, would the water drown her? She was in no position to rocket out either, the trident throwing mermaid could hit her!
So lost she was, she barely managed to dodge the tridents, getting herself some nice long cuts. "Ouch-" Keine blinked awake looking up," Land Sign - Three Sacred Treasures- Sword!"
Now a sword materilized in her hand. Doing her best to dodge she aawaited for the two treasures to sync, finally with a bit more sure step, Keine set her mind to dodging and deflecting any incoming attacks.
Seeing as how there was nothing else to do, she focused the danmaku of the orb onto her opponent, by simply pointing her sword inthat direction.
Two down, one more treasure.

The mermaid lifted up another trident, but as the blasts drew closer, she had to throw it quickly, missing Keine altogether, so she could avoid the blasts. But, two hit her sides, making her lose her focus, making the water bowl return to the river. She jumped back onto the water. She raised her hands and made the pillars form again. She threw her hands forward and the pillars threw themselves at Keine, not breaking apart this time, but launching themselves whole, like snakes.

Keine back stepped, glad the bowl hadn't collapsed in, but now with two pillars after her, she really wasn't in a position to feel glad. She continued to jump back and dodge to the sides as the water snakes made their way to her. " Land Sign- Three Sacred Treasures- Mirror!"
A ghostly mirror unearthed itself. Keine took it in her hand, dashing down the two pillars. The three treasures called forth. This was a small combo she had made herself, it took time and risks but it was worth it.
Dashing just berly avoiding he furious water, the were-beast used the orb to jump towards her opponent. She placed the mirror infront of her, flipping over with practiced skill. Keine slid on the other side of the river, moving the orb to furiously circle the mermaid, leaving little if any place for escape.
" Bare the reflection Yata no Kagami!" Keine swing the blame around once, the orb begining to fire outterly,the deformed reflection of her opponent barin in the mirror, she pulled out her last spell card, "Reincarnation! Returning bridge of ichijo!"
The danmaku that the orb had fired suddenly changed drastically, now moving backwards and closing into the mermaid.

This was bad. The mermaid was surrounded by Keine's attacks. As the danmaku came closer she threw her hand in the air, another card in it, and called, as the danmaku began to hit her, "Dive Sign "Kingfisher's Underwater Hunt"!" A pillar of water engulfed the mermaid as she dove into the water. The water then made a bowl around Keine again. She swam through the wall of the bowl, her legs a mermaid tail again. She then turned around and launched herself at Keine, a field of water in front of her as she left the wall. If she missed or hit, she would land in the wall adjacent to her, but if she was hit, she'd most likely end the spellcard, if it was a strong enough blow.

Keine cursed as her spell card missed, now once more in the bowl. Instinct gripped Keine and with no sort of given, she just shot up, gladly accepting the benefits of being able to fly.
Though, as she escaped the water of wall caught her a bit, throwing the teacher of balance and into the river/bowl of water.

As the teacher fell into the bowls wall of water, the mermaid jumped out, ending the spellcard and using this to her advantage. She moved her hands in a spinning motion, increasing the speed of the current Keine was in. She then threw her arms up, making the water fly up, and then threw her arms down, making the water crash into the ground, refilling the river and hopefully hurting the teacher in the process.

Keine was now drowing, being spun around in some wave-whirpool thing. When the river was smacked down, she was sure she had fallen uncouncious. There is an innocent girl who needs you, don't you dare call yourself guardian of the village if you lose like this.
Keine snapped awake, battered and cut and bruised from the water attack but she flied out, stumbling onto the back. Now a very soggy hakutaku, she stod ready with the sword, panting." I a...am not....done...y-yet."
She was out of spellcards if she recalled rigth, and at this rate she would need medical attention herself. The ord once more returned to her side circling her. The teacher rushed foward readig her blade to attack.
The sword, an old artifact, was blunt, meant to hurt not to kill. All keine was trying to do was get close enough to grip her opponent and land one of her famous headbutts.

The mermaid decided to toy with the teacher, not knowing what she was planning. She formed an aquatic blade in her hands. She used it to block Keine's sword. It was then that she noticed it was blunt. She wondered what the woman was thinking, trying to defeat her with a blunt toy.

Perfect. The two blades clashed, Keine reached across and grabbed her opponent by the front of the shirt. Using her blade and some pressure she slid both blade to the side, away from the contenders.
Keine pulled the mermaid foward, and with all her strenght brought her head foward, Crashing her skull against the mermaid. Years of being a cursed hakutaku, weighted down in a single blow.

The mermaid was unprepared for this and when the blow hit, she was defeated. She went limp in Keine's hands, but she was still awake... slightly. "... Ow..." was all she could say when in this state. She shook off the feeling of dizziness from the headbutt, but she had a splitting headache. "Fine." She scoffed. "You beat me, I'll go with you..." She was reluctant; she hated losing, but she did make a deal with Keine, so she'd honor it.
