Sydney followed Sasha and Clarise, peeking out of the closet, the green nighty still in her hand. Clarice had just announced that there was nothing wrong with the cake, and--and she WAS rather hungry. She could definitely trust Clarice even if she didn't quite trust Julie, right? "Can I have a slice as well?" she asked quietly, shoving the nighty behind her back as she realized she was still holding it.

Nona was going on and on and on about how Clerise was her favorite, urging Sasha to take a bit of cake, just a bit, it looked delicious, and my sweetest dove shouldn't you try on that slinky looking black bit there in the back of the closet? Sasha's eyes widened with delight when Clerise mentioned cake. Sasha leaned in towards Clerise, real close and whispered against her ear, " I love cake." Leaning over to brush a kiss against Candace's cheek, Sasha looped arms with Clerise and Sydney with a flippant, "Be right back!" and proceeded to lead them both out of the closet.

Cass regarded Julie suspiciously, pulling her phone out of her bag to send a text to Marcus:Istoleyurvamps Julie is being all... normal. I'm going to try a piece of this cake she's offering, but I know this is likely to end in disaster. If anything happens because of it, I wanted you to know I love you. It probably wasn't the most reassuring text for her to send, but with that she tucked her phone away and popped up to her feet to go over and investigate that cake that Julie had wheeled in, smiling.
"I'll take a slice, Julie. It looks pretty nice and it'd be a shame to let it go to waste~" she chimed.

All the swagger was gone from her step by the time she'd arrived at Clarice's door. She'd taken off her jacket, and knocked politely, her expression neutral and stoic as she waited. The door creaked, indicating that it wasn't locked, and the sound of revelry within told her it was safe to enter. So she did, slipping inside and pushing the door closed behind her.
And there they were. The women of Deus, all dressed up in little nightgowns and sleepwear, and she in full uniform. It would have been a touch embarrassing, if she cared about such things - but it was worth an apology all the same even if she didn't mean it.
"Looks like I overdressed." Her quiet voice felt like it was interrupting the bubbly atmosphere. "Sorry, I just came from a mission. No time to change. Does anyone mind if I come in anyway?"

LADIES. NIGHT. Madison was all over this - and who was at the door before her but a rather familiar face. "Petra!" she beamed, waving and trotting down the hallway a bit faster to catch up to the other Phoenix. "It's been forever! How you doing?!" Madison herself was wearing her cutest pyjamas. Which weren't hugely adorable, just simple but comfy yoga pants and a t-shirt. Also slippers. And she had all the makeup in her bag. All of it. She was READY FOR THIS.

Saya practically tackled the blue and black haired hunter. In the midst of all this unfamiliar, fun and booze-filled chocolates and cake, Petra was the delightful main show. It was sort of like a little sister running to her older sister.
"PETRAAAAAAA!"
The relief and sheer delight and everything bundled up in the sugary concoction to make a powerpuff girl was noted in Saya's tone.

The first voice that greeted her came from an unlikely direction - behind her, instead of anyone inside the room. She turned to glance at Madison, and her monotonous gaze briefly glimmering with affection, as her lips quirked up at their corners. "I'm keeping busy. It has been forever, hasn't it?" A slender hand slipped against the girl's shoulder, leading her deeper inside. "We should fix that. I'm sure Robert would like it if we spent more time together."
A body slammed into her, and she wrapped her arms around it instinctively, capturing the assailant in a tight grip. When she heard her name squealed so delightfully, however, the edge of tension eased from her actions and she let out a startlingly happy laugh.
Her face still looked a little on edge, however, even as she looked at Saya.
"Heeey, you!" She chuckled out, straightening up and releasing one arm from her. "It's so nice to see you guys. Now I really feel overdressed, look how cute you all are." She took Madison's hand in her own, and kept her close. "So, what are we doing?"

"Pft, Robert nothing, I'd like it," Madison said, grinning. "That's gotta count for something, right?" She squeezed Petra's hand. "Who's your friend?" she added, blinking at the unfamiliar Hunter who'd hit Petra like an affectionate freight train.

"Peeettraaaaaaaaa!!" It seemed the moon hunter was about to get hit by another joy-train in the form of the other half of Walker, Texas Ranger as Cass suddenly launched herself into the group assembling around the girl with an enormous grin.
"It's nice to see you! I should have worn my hat!" she suddenly seemed to realize, wondering if it was too late for her to go and get it and wear it around like a proper cowgirl or something. Ohhh, that would have been lots of fun! But she didn't want to keep running in and out of the dorm. However, as it seemed Petra was lamenting her wardrobe choice, a grin came over the girl's face.
"Clarice has some PJs in her super awesome closet if you want to change, Petra." Cass grinned.
She was radiating excitement.]

Cooing over the cake's pretty interior and the precious little sugar ducks, Clarice took her first real bit of the cake. And then another. And another. Oh god, this cake shouldn't taste this good, it tasted like... like magic and love. And alcohol. Clarice's body started to feel slightly warmer...lots of alcohol. Whatever Julie had done to this cake...was amazing. She gave Julie a look that was at once suspicious and somewhat awed. Mouth full and with a generous streak of frosting on her cheek, Clarice's eyebrows shot up as Petra arrived. This was a surprise! "Fhelkoh-" Oh yeah, better finishing chewing first. After swallowing, oh god it was so good, Clarice smiled at the trainee with genuine pleasure, "Hi Madison! Hey Petra." She gave a nod at Cass's comment, "I have plenty of spare pajamas if you want to borrow something more comfortable." She paused and her mind rewound slightly, "Ohhh... mission? Are you okay? If you're sore or anything you can use the bath or steam room if you want..plenty of towels and bathrobes too..."

Rin slowly started to realize a few things now. One - everyone but her was having sweets, two - no one was dying from eating the cake, and finally three - she was starting to feel like a buzz kill. So with quiet reservation she grabbed a plate and helped herself to removing a large slice of prismatic cake. On her plate, she attempted to separate each colour with her fork so that she may eat the colours one by one in their correct order. Even removing the heart shape so she may do so correctly.
She was just so focused on the colours not being eaten together she didn't immediately seem to notice the odd taste or scent of booze as it entered her body. Before she knew it, she was tipsy for the first time in her life.

Saya was really happy to see Petra, rarely glimpsing the female hunter. But Petra's next line, her brief interaction slightly confused Saya. She was a little more used to the rare affections of the older phoenix member, a whisper or a pat on the head. It was simply Saya wanting more from Petra's aloof personality than Petra could offer. Saya remembered that she couldn't come to Petra for assurances all the time. But then again, she had just come from a mission so Petra must have been tired.
Saya turned to Madison, bowing slightly in apology. She sheepishly moved away from Petra, her hand running through her hair to bring it over her shoulder self-consciously. "I'm Sayaka Valens. U-Um, I'm not sure who I might know or might not know anymore. I'm a previous .. alpha phoenix member and .. the batch of sheeps--I mean, lambs that recently woke up."
Saya preferred a cute sheep connotation rather than the connotation of lambs to slaughter. But she couldn't go around re-phrasing things, that would be rude of her. ?_?

At first Candace didn't notice their new arrival or her cake, she was simply admiring the closet while savoring one of the delicious booze-filled chocolates. So good! No wonder Clarice had wanted her to get some for her for Valentine's day! It wasn't until Sydney actually said Julie was there that she froze, slowly turning to stare out the closet and at the gigantic cake. .. Julie was part of why they needed this night why was she here. "...I doubt Clarice would let Julie in her room if she was a threat." Candace mumbled, popping another chocolate in her mouth and chewing it with a thoughtful look. Yes, this was true. Clarice wasn't afraid of Julie. She'd probably hurt Julie so hard if she ruined her room or something. Yes, okay. Plus Clarice said the cake was safe...and delicious. She supposed just this once Julie could be given a smidgen of trust. Candace's cheeks were flushed from the alcohol in her system, though they seemed to burn hotter when she felt Sasha's lips against her cheek. Goodness, Sasha! They needed to booze you up more often! "I'll take a piece, Julie." Candace called out to the Moon hunter as she stepped out of the closet, setting down the chocolates. She hoped the pizza arrived soon or they were going to have many drunk ladies earlier in the night than expected. Candace still intended to enjoy a glass of Scotch as Clarice had promised her, she needed to keep some semblance of control! That and mani-pedis. Oh. And movies. And just general enjoyment. Yes. All the things. Madison greeted Petra and Candace looked her way, giving the other woman a grin and a wave. "Peppermint~! Hi!" A mission? Nice! Candace was curious what she had been doing. She didn't look any worse for wear so far but appearances could be deceiving; maybe it was a simple mission! "Mm! Go pick out some pajamas and come join us in our boozey feast." The men would be so jealous if they heard about this. Candace hadn't bothered to check twitter.

Tori had been glad that she had brought the chocolates even if her stash of them was low, but she could always refill at a later time if there was. "Thanks, I thought everyone needed it after that last mission," she replied to Candace. "Sorry about that I should have given a warning," she said sheepishly to Sasha. She liked the sound of pizza as that sound good and she was excited about everything as this was going to be great. Eating a few of the chocolates herself when she saw Julie come into the room a little scared of the cake that she had brought with. Tori did sigh in relief when Clarice told them that the cake was safe for eating and also from Clarice's reaction that it was good too. Still a little weary of Julie and anything she baked but the cake was tempting as others were trying it too. Ah what the heck Tori would trust her a little right now and if she did get sick she could just blame it on Julie. "Julie I will take a piece too," Tori said as she walked up to were the cake was.

Petra couldn't help but smile at Madison's words. She'd missed the bright, cheerful girl's perspective on life; it was a healthy balance that kept her smiling, even as she asked a question that made her eyebrows lift. She turned to Saya, and her lips parted slightly as she let out a soft 'ahh..', but Cass interrupted her before she could say a word. Another girl launching at her had her stumbling, barely able to manage keeping a hold on the two she'd already collected. Cass brought her down with a grunt, and she grinned right back up at her friend, before trying to lift her up in her arms.
It didn't work as well as expected.
"Oh God, oh-" Petra set Cass down on her feet, and stumbled back up to hers. She wouldn't be trying that again anytime soon. She ran one hand through her hair, and chuckled in embarrassment. "I uh.. that sounds great, actually. I'll go find some." Giving Clarice a grateful smile, she nodded, just once. "I'll take you up on that offer later. Right now, I think I'd just like to relax, and hang out with you guys, if that's ok." With such a warm welcome, how could she not? She'd had no idea just how many people would be happy to see her - it was a pleasant surprise.
And oh, there now, Saya was introducing herself where Petra had failed to. Petra moved to apologize, but the mention of phoenix made her freeze in place. Her eyes widened imperceptively, and she just... stared.
Her frozen stare remained for however long Madison would speak, before she shook herself out of it, and frowned, looking away. "So. I'll just go get those pajamas, now." She murmured under her breath, and turned tail to head for the closet.
