 "Might as well go with the long version, since we really have nothing better to do other than wait for me to finish this thing." Ana then began to roll out the dough and put the ingredients on. She had specifically made sure that her foster mother had bought organic produce and meat that didn't possess any growth hormones or anything along those lines. Then she slipped the pizza into the oven and turned the timer on before walking to the table and sat down, resting her chin on her hands, her eyes looking into his.╔════════════════════════════════

Ana listened to his story and by the time he had finished his gruesome tale, the oven was beeping at her to remove the pizza before it burned. She stood and took the pizza from the oven after putting on a pair of mitts and then laid it on the stovetop. She shook her head in disgust. "Pitiful, really. Now I'm glad that my mentor wouldn't allow me to go to public school." Her mentor had been more worried about her accidentally blurting something out about the hidden world around them, but she'd always known better than to do so. "As much as I would like to pity you further, which I highly doubt you'd appreciate, but the pizza is always best when it's fresh from the oven." She took out the pizza roller and cut it evenly into nine pieces before taking down two plates. One for her and one for the guest. "How many pieces would you like?"╔════════════════════════════════

Ana placed three slices of pizza on the plate before setting it before him on the table. "At least it's still usable," She commented about his leg. "I mean, I used to know plenty of people that suffered injuries such as yours, but..." She didn't want to have to tell him that they had been executed due to their lack of usefulness anymore. Injuries resulted in death in the Vanquishers whether you were one of their best hunters or not. She was rising up in the ranks, which meant that she would have to become more careful about her moves and injury reports. She took a slice of pizza for herself and sat down across from him. "I've only lived here for abotu a month, so please excuse my ignorance, but how long have you worked at the dojo?"╔════════════════════════════════

Ana leaned back in her seat after she sat cross-legged on it as if she were meditating. She took a bite of the pizza and ignored the burning sensation of the cheese and tomato sauce. After she swallowed, she responded to his question, "I moved into this apartment with this set of foster parents last month. Though I'm nineteen, the company that's been keeping me under their thumb refuses to let me live on my own until I've proven to them that I can live on my own, though my foster parents aren't around enough to witness that I can take care of myself quite well."╔════════════════════════════════

But then again, this one is more strict with how I live my life, this one here seems to track my every move down to the very breath I take to perform it." Ana nodded and picked up the plates before walking over to the sink, looking over her shoulder, she gave him a warm smile that hadn't been seen in such a long while, "Then I guess this is farewell." She said before he left. After placing the dishes in the sink, she waited a minute or so before following after him. She intended to figure out where he lived and if he was secretly in league with some of the beasties that roamed this planet and killed for the pleasure of their own bloodthirst. She laid on the roof of his house and slept there until morning, ignoring the cold that had gradually spread throughout her body. The trenchcoat provided as much protection from the elements as it could, but then again, there was only so much that it could do.╔════════════════════════════════

Ana was abruptly woken up by a white fox dashing over her abdomen and then the tapping of Nobuyuki's finger against her forehead. She sat up quickly and looked up at the sky before cursing in numerous languages. "I slept in! Damn you, cloudy sky!" She said as she glared up at the clouds. Then a drop of rain fell on her nose, as if the sky were taunting her. It was only drizzling right this moment, but the clouds looked ready to pour at any given moment. Then she looked over at Nobuyuki and said with a nonchallant shrug, "Why am I here? What if I simply felt like sleeping on the rooftops, hm? I simply climbed up here and fell asleep, so it was by complete chance that I happened to fall asleep on your roof." She was spewing out every excuse that she could, and it was obvious that she was lying.╔════════════════════════════════
