Denira was a bit surprised by the place she was at she hadn't a problem with it, just the gavitational pull when she in her ship that high up in a fall was scary. Giving a slight yelp at the sudden change of what direction was up, grateful of the catch from Khane, and then standing again. She had to ask this now. "Why me?"

"Because in all my centuries of observing, you are the first I've found who holds power similar to my own. And whether you realize it or not, you've been unconsciously using it throughout your life." Khane stated. "I brought you here to teach you how to consciously control it."

Dinera nodded her head looking back at him. "Must be lonely having all of this space and no one with you. Even the little bit of time in the fighter and I feel it." She said, thinking about the long flights between planets since she ran from the pirates.

Khane simply chuckled. "When we're through, you won't even need the fighter anymore. You'll be able to go wherever you want to in the blink of an eye." He paused for a second, trying to plan out how they were going to proceed. Even the basics had been difficult for him to master, and he expect much the same from her. Still, it was the best place to start, provided he could actually manage to explain it correctly. He had been doing it so long, it had become second nature to him.

"She's served me well through these years. Guess it's time to let her have a different owner." Denira said as she thought of the things she was going to learn now, and wondering what her life was going to be like now.

After a few seconds thought, Khane had finally settled on his teaching method. "Well, since you seem pretty calm and reasonable at the moment, I think it's best we go ahead and start." He said, stepping back a few strides. "I want you to watch me. I'm going to show you what this will look like when done properly and then we will work until you can do it. This is one of the simplest tricks, but that by no means makes it easy to learn. It took me years to master all the basics, so don't get mad just because you can't do it right the first time." He warned before channeling his power through his body. a faint purple-black aura similar to the portal began to cover his body. once it was clearly visible, it began coalescing in the palm of his outstretched hand, forming a black sphere. He held it for about half a minute before removing his hand. It floated there for several minutes, giving her plenty of time to examine it.

Denira watched closely as Khane showed her his first lesson for her. It did look simple enough, she looked at it and went to see about touching it granted she never really did so, as the pirates had a saying 'if you don't know what it is don't touch it'. Even though she was completely fascinated at how it looked.

The sphere seemed to pulsate faintly in her proximity and began growing smaller and smaller until, with one last pulse, it was gone completely. He stepped up again and smiled. "Now, it's time for you to learn how to do it. We'll start you off by simply figuring out how to gather and release your power. Then we'll focus on giving it a visible form before learning how to give it shape. Step by step until you know everything you need to." Khane explained.

She felt the pulsing and it was actually interesting to feel it. "Alright." She said nervous about trying this, sure it was going to be her first try but tests were never her strong suit.

Khane spent a second thinking of how to explain it to her before launching into a vague speech. He knew it was difficult to understand, but he tried his best to keep it simple. "Ok, enough theory. I suck at explanations anyway. Now... I want you to feel inside yourself. It may take a while, as you won't know what you'll be searching for. All I can tell you is that, once you find it, you'll know what it is and you'll always be able to find it easily."

Denira closed her eyes and searched she was trying but she wasn't finding anything, even after hours of searching she hadn't found anything. She had been about to give up when she felt something a warm feeling in her chest.

Khane waited patiently, knowing it had taken him days to figure out what he was looking for. Then he sensed it. A slight shift in the bright sun that he was constantly sensing that alerted him to the use of her power. "Once you've found it, take a little bit out, hold it for a bit, and then try to push it back in." Khane called out as he worked to contain any unwanted side effects that might occur.

Denira did what she was told and felt the warm feeling spread through her body, and then she pushed it back down, it was a bit harder to do but after a few minutes of trying she managed it, with maybe a few times of something getting away from her.

Khane noticed a brief flare of light around her as she drew it out, but he was too busy keeping this area stable to bother until she had pushed it back. Once in was done he clapped a bit. "Very good. A few leaks, but I suppose that can be put to the fact that you are only just now consciously working with it. In time, you should be able to draw on it without causing any side affects." He said with a smile. "I'll do what I can to keep you from tearing a hole in the universe, and you just focus on learning how to bend it to your will." He said half-jokingly.

Denira opened here eyes to look at Khane. "I'd hope I don't tear a hole." She said, a bit out of breathe, but excited about this. It was almost like getting to push a reset button on your life, and she had to say her life before wasn't exactly the greatest.
