-- Hiro --- Electra37/50 --- 37/50Steps:174 Tonics:3/3 Hiro and Electra finally made it to the top only to see the Garchomp rip the head off the Ryperior. Note to self: NEVER let a Gible join their team. It was kind of gross but the two stomached it down. Save the puking for later. Now in some general safety Hiro asked "Oh hey, want to join my guild team? Better now then never." The Galvantula raised an eyebrow then nodded. Might as well, right? Stretching one of her arms Electra guessed "I guess that means I'll be saving your a** a lot then. By the way, TAKE COVER!" Hiro saw why as the Ryperior exploded. The two ran down several steps of the staircase as they were left unscathed. Going back up they covered their noses. That Arceus awful smell! Hiro shrugged and said "Pretty much."

Era & Ethfael & Erinn & Riley & Celus & Avaria & Eon & Irilyss25/50 ~ 25/50 ~ 25/50 ~ 25/50 ~ 25/50 ~ 25/50 ~ 25/50 ~ 25/50 Team MistMelody began to make strong progress as they rounded the final lap on the spiral staircase. Although they were tired and worn from their unfortunate encounters with sudden setbacks, the group continued on as though the situation was fine. There was truly nothing else they could do, they'd chosen to come here so they were stuck on their path until the bitter end. All eight of them kept going by virtue of nothing less than sheer adrenaline, allowing it to pump through their veins and give them the energy they needed to finish alongside the rest of their Guildmates. It took some effort for them to maintain face what with the pain that half of them were in but no complaint escaped any of their lips. Even Erinn held his tongue and kept the cool silence that the others did, using them to build up his courage which had long since failed him. The others simply proceeded to duck and weave through the remainder of the Geodude projectiles until at last the end of the path was in sight. With a final burst of energy, they raced up to join the others at the top of the staircase with hope for a short end to this battle of sorts. As it turned out they got their wish but sadly when wishes are granted it is rarely without consequence.
The group paused to regain their bearings, heartbeats racing and gasping for much-needed breath, but that short time lapse was all it took. Celus was the only one who saw Raith lunge at the Rhyperior, but before he could warn the others it was too late: the Self-Destruct sent all of them reeling back from its intense fire and various unpleasant pieces of their foe. This time everyone got a taste of the feeling of blood-covered flesh hitting their bodies and leaving unpleasantly obvious trails behind it, and there was the added bonus of pointed rocks digging into them as well with the force of any bullet. There were varied soft cries of pain and revulsion as the dust cleared, leaving them all looking far worse for the wear than they had before. "...On the bright side we're all still alive," Eon offered, although his expression showed how little of a bright side he saw in the present situation. It was particularly hard to see the light when you'd just lived through two harrowing experiences, nearly got killed both times, and knew all the while that you weren't even halfway finished with your task. It became terribly clear to Eon as he looked around at his Teammates-all of whom were covered in burns and wounds and tainted blood that mingled with their own-how very likely it was that not all of them would live to see tomorrow. The male Pikachu's ears drooped and he felt the hope start to flutter away from him and the light in his eyes faded somewhat with the gloom that settled upon his shoulders.
A soft paw touched his back and he looked up to see Era looking at him with a soft sympathy. "Yes, we're all still alive," she said comfortingly, "And we'll stay that way if we can help it." Although her usually yellow fur was stained with streaks of blood and her wings were dulled from their usual shade, she still managed to stir up a bit of that fading light in his gaze and he offered a small smile. The small Pikachu looked over at the rest of her Team and smiled a bit herself. "Come on, we'll get through this," she said to them, "Just don't ever give up hope and we'll get through this." Even a few words from their Leader wasn't able to fully rejuvenate the Team's spirits, but it was enough to keep them from falling prey to hopelessness just yet. Team MistMelody wouldn't throw in the towel just yet; they still had some fight left in them in spite of all they'd been through.

     Victor - Harumi - Aiden - Doku - Maxi 37/50 - 37/50 - 37/50 - 37/50 - 37/50
Harumi let out a little yelp of terror as she saw her sister fall behind due to a rather mean Geodude. The younger Eevee immediately turned on her heels, sprinting back down the stairs to help her older sister. The Eevee was quick to make it to Skye's side, running behind the older Pokemon and pushing up on Skye's flank with her shoulder as a little bit of a speed boost. "Come on, Skye! You're alright!" Harumi exclaimed as she ran beside her sister, shaking her head to get a little trickle of blood from her forehead out of her eyes. As the two Pokemon ran, another pair of footsteps began to sound near them.
Running right behind the two girls, looking rather protective, was Aiden. "You two gotta stop taking such a beating, or your dad'll have me killed!" The Umbreon said with a smirk as he ran behind the two Eevees, staying to make sure that anything that could get in their way be blown to smithereens. Harumi looked back at the Umbreon, smiling a little. "As long as you don't hit on my sister! Thanks, Aiden." The Umbreon just chuckled before he looked upward. He watched as the large enemy Pokemon fell before an announcement was made. "Not this bullshit again!"
Aiden quickly jumped forward, right over the two Eevee's and lowered his body, making himself a bit of a shield. Most of the debris from the exploding Pokemon collided with Aiden, rather than the girls. Keyword being most. Harumi still found herself spitting out blood that wasn't hers all over the ground. "... Ewwww!"
Doku was, needless to say, quite worried when his mate took a bit of a nasty spill. However, Zori was quick to join the male at his side and reassure him that she was alright. "I'll tear these stairs to the ground for hurting my Zori..." Doku muttered as he ran along his mate's side. Sadly, when the Rhyperior above randomly exploded, he was too slow to protect his wife. "Get down, Zori!" The Leafeon cried as he curled up, a large chunk of meat just barely missed him, soaring above his head.

Skye & Zori-38/50- -Invincibility Stone-Skye glanced behind her, shooting her sister a dizzy but grateful glance as she helped urge her forward. The dazed smile was short-lived, as she caught sight of the blood that matted in her sister's fur. They were going to be in a sorry state, after the night was through. "Right," the violet Eevee breathed in reply, her voice sounding strained and barely audible over the sheer noise of the battle progressing around them.
They were quickly joined by Aiden. Though she didn't risk another glance behind her to check on him, she assumed he was doing alright, if she was to judge by the sound of his voice. That he'd come to aid them at all meant something, and his hurried footsteps rang as clear in her ears as Haru's. Hopefully, they'd be safer between the three of them. She could sense the companionship between her sister and her teammate; although the difference in age was obvious, the bond that held them together was strong enough to make her feel embarrassed. It felt like she was invading on a conversation not meant for her ears, although they spoke of trivial, simple things. It was definitely a hard feeling to explain, but she knew without pause that it was the case. Harumi's team cared for eachother, whether they would admit it or not.
Their shared laughter was abruptly cut off, Aiden's shout distracting her. She nearly gave herself whiplash, twisting to follow Aiden's glance up to the Rhyperior at the top of the stone staircase. She could see the great Garchomp, the killer of Elite Pokemon. He'd severed the head clean off the Pokemon entirely, blood and dust splattered across his chest and face, dripping from his jaws like thick sludge. She saw nothing else before a heavier, stronger form leaped onto her shoulders from behind. Her cry rang out sharply, confused and surprised, only for her to fall silent as the thick scent of her Umbreon companion fell over her like a veil.
Heat seared across their bodies, and she curled instinctively closer to the two Eeveelutions beside her. She fought the urge to cry out again, this time in pain as shards of rock beat against her wounded shoulder. She gritted her teeth, and was quickly glad to have done so as the rock was shortly followed by a splatter of something rather sickeningly warm and fluid.
When Skye opened her eyes once more, she was met with the face of a deep crimson, blood that was not his own leaking through his fur and staining it dark. She gagged on the smell of it, trying not to think about the intestinal fluids and bile that were likely now scattered across the room, and (admittedly) herself. She managed to drag herself to her paws, staggering backward into Aiden's shoulder for support as she found her foreleg still weak from her fall. It took a few moments of slowly stretching and testing the bruised muscle before she was finally able to stand solid on her own paws again.

Zori ducked low, her ears pressed flat against her head as she tucked herself into a gap in the broken stairway. She was sheltered quite well from the brunt of the attack, and what little came her way was quickly swept back by a wave of golden light. The smooth, glowing stone that hung from her neck seemed only to intensify in strength as they moved onward. The closer she got to the top of the tower, the stronger it became. Though she missed the comfort of her Soothe Globe, this pendant brought her a sense of security. She still felt the fear of battle, felt the drive to avoid all danger around her. It was only in her thoughts that she knew herself to be safe.
She couldn't remember having had it before, or having won it by any means of strength or trial. She'd accomplished many things with the guild, but nothing had brought her near to such a treasure as this. It shone with the brilliance of the evening stars, casting a glow across the world around it at every other moment. A rock would strike her shoulder, only to be deflected by a flash of gold brought not by her own means, but the magic within the pendant she wore.
The Self Destruct quickly faded, and Zori slipped from the gap, rushing to the aid of Doku a few feet away. He hadn't made it to the safety of the niche in the stairs, and though he was covered with blood, she knew not how much of it was his. The trouble of being coated in the innards of your enemies was that it made it near impossible to try and treat and wounds they might have. There was little she could do, at the moment, aside from press her lithe body against her mate's, and press him up and onto his own paws. "Doku? Doku, are you alright?" She stayed like that, for a moment, acting as a crutch to provide him with the chance to regain his footing.

((Could have sworn I made a reserve here. Going mad, I guess. Oh well, post takes place before Shawn's.)) Ver -- Rufus47/50 - 47/50Ver was forced to a halt at the stair's end with a sudden blink of surprise as the Glaceon rushed back under him; the game seemingly long forgotten in both of their minds. He was overall unresponsive to her presence in favor of looking about and keeping his ground should anything go to strike him. The goal was to do little more than budge in order to keep Ivy from getting in the open. He was a good wall most of the time, but it wasn't often you were faced with high velocity Geodude flying at you. Rufus was quick to make his way back to the Flareon's side with a smile. He was clearly exhausted, but the quiet Chu always tried to keep a more upbeat mood around others; end of the world or not. Swiftly sitting up on his back paws, he gave a wave to the cowering Glaceon before his ears stood tall and his expression fell into a blank shock in sync with Ver's, leaving the two to give notice of the source of the unidentifiable sound. Only the Flareon responded to the sudden flash the Elite gave off and promptly lowered himself over Ivy with his head promptly turned away from the sudden blast and eyes closed. His tail was occupied by Rufus who stood hunched over against the fluffy white mess. He didn't budge right away, the sound of something else told him not to. He'd be right in his act, as the only sight was the mess of red and organs. Ver on the other hand was clearly holding his breath as his chest suddenly weighed with a sigh, having lived the fraction of a second experience. That was the second time, honestly, was it going to happen again? He'd take note of sitting back when the time came. "...Are we making progress?" Ver looked back at the Chu as he stepped away from the Flareon's tail, seemingly a bit uneasy. "Seems like it. Guess we can only move on and find out." The fire type smiled as he stood full height again and poked Ivy with his back paw in gesture that it was safe as he moved off of her with Rufus close behind, though he instead took note of the guildmates around them with a frown while Ver's attention was stuck on Ivy.
