THE CAVE OF DARKNESS

(( You are directed to the opening of a cave, but once inside, something is pushed in front of the entrance. The darkness that results is deep and absolute, and even if a part or all of you glows, that glow is swallowed up a few feet in front of you. ))



"Back here again?? Maaan..." Night's tail flicked as he hiked the lepus guide up higher. It started to spout nonsense him so Night just flicked a ear and grinned cheerfully, "Whatever you say little thing." In which the lepus guide replied back with:

"Did you know that...Aymet is a really beautiful pony?" It giggled as Night rolled his eyes, follow the nose Night, not your eyes.

Oh look a flag.

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS

(( The walls to either side of you begin to close in. You can't see them, but you can more easily hear the echo of your breath (if you breathe) or your footsteps (if you don't) or something else (if you do neither of those things). When you reach out your arms to either side, you can feel clammy, slightly damp stone surrounding you. ))

There's a fork in the path here. You stop and feel the walls to your left and right.



"One flag down...." Night grinned before stretching. The farther he ventured, the worst the darkness got and the glow that he emitted naturally started to close in on him. Unlike the first day, today was harder, different. The fog and humidity were KILLING HIM. IT WAS SO HOT AND IT FELT LIKE A SAUNA. Add to the fact that the walls were closing in and the air was becoming stagnant.

"Did you know...That Gnomes can live 9 days headless?" The lepus shrilled, causing Night to jump and send a glare to the annoying guide. Stupid...That jump though caused him to end up going down the fork on the left and finging another flag. He glared at the guide before tucking the flag back in.

"You just think you know everything, but I could've got the flag without you." Night's tail flicked with a annoyed motion. "Seriously though? 9 days without a head?" He wondered if they would make it far in the cave of darkness without their heads too.

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS

(( You feel a slight breeze as the claustrophobic hall opens out again. And are your eyes deceiving you, or can you see again? This section of the cavern is lit very faintly. Up ahead, you think you can make out a short, wide opening near the floor. It is about as tall as a student lying on his stomach, and lined with chilly mud. ))



"Did you know...That I eat in my sleep?" The lepus guide whispered now, sending a shiver down the black cat's spin as he looked over at the little thing.

"Can you please not-" Was that a light ahead? He blinked as he tried to head to it before everything came crashing down. His head hit the ground as something wrapped on his ankle, his Lepus guide giving a loud..

"DID YOU KNOW....YOU ABOUT TO DIE?." It shrilled as Night looked at the tentacle holding his ankle hostage and he looked at the Lepus guide one last time. "I think I hate you." He growled before disappearing into the abyss. He woke up in the infirmary with a new Lepus Guide.

"Did you know...There are a million of us born everyday?" Night just groaned.

Snow Dash

___ You’re dashing through the snow. It’s pretty simple. It’s not that far and not even uphill or downhill. What could possibly go wrong? As soon as you run too far ahead, you hear an ominous crackling noise. You have wandered right onto thin ice. And it breaks.
--ACTION-------
ROLLING FOR SNOW DASH STAGE 1:
___ Result: [10-1= 9] 5-12 – You leap forward to safety and solid ground. Not today, ice. Not today. You obtain one flag

Mai was pretty sure on a normal day she would hate this course. Today, it didn't seem so bad for some reason. Even the lepus guide seemed less annoying today (it had yet to speak).

After only a brief survey of the area, the cat-shaped wisp ran headlong into the course. Her hopes and spirits were high after her victory against the temple guardian the previous day. Sure, she couldn't remember much of the fight toward the end, but she'd gotten that last flag! And that was what mattered.

Suddenly a loud *crack* tore the ghost from her day dreaming and she had to react quickly to avoid being dunked into the water that was appearing beneath her feet. Luckily she cleared the broken ice without incident. She'd even managed to grab a flag on the way.

___ The next part of the course doesn’t look like it holds any nasty surprises. It’s just snow. Which turns out to be worse than you could imagine, when you begin sinking into a deep snowdrift. .

It was unfortunate that Mai underestimated the depth of the snowdrift she'd jumped on. Very unfortunate indeed.

All that marked Mai's location was a pair of green ears sticking up out of the snow.

Ice Road Runner

It was cold. The course was made of ice, but that wasn't enough, no. Ice also fell from the sky, in the form of hail and snow. Aurian wasn't impressed. Fire the first two days, and now freezing cold everywhere. No wonder they said the trials were dangerous - everything tried to kill you, from one extreme or the other.

She wasn't waiting around to become a snow-thing from Christmas Town. Aurian moved more slowly than through the fire caves, the wind and the cracking ice beneath her reducing both the chance of, and desire to, speed.

Even taking that precaution, Aurian still slipped on the ice. Wind and a steep slope combined to slide her back to the start of the course.

A snowball hit Aurian in the face. She turned to stare at the crowd. Had someone out there thrown that? She scowled as she brushed the clinging snow off her face, then continued making her way through the course.

Ice Road Runner

The wind picked up. Extra chunks of ice flew at Aurian, striking her exposed flesh. The last thing Aurian felt, even through the growing numbness, was something hard hitting her head. That was it, Aurian was down for the count.

Some time later, she woke in the infirmary. Yet another fail...
