The smallest and quietest of conversations happened between Umi and Pops. This boy was cute, but what could have possible traumatized him to the point of being so lifeless. Umi couldn’t help but want to tease the boy until some kind of emotion showed on his face. But Gab didn’t seem to be the type of guy that would crumple at being teased or get angry. Umi could try embarrassing him. But that could take a turn and he didn’t want to go down that road. Last thing he needed was for his work to blend into his everyday life. Pops and Umi looked at Gabriel as he emerged from the changing room, a new boy. A shower would back everything fit perfect. Umi patted Pops’ shoulder. “You did it again. Perfect”

Gabriel looked down and inspected the clothes he was wearing more closely, he wasn't a true fashionista for sure, but he knew what felt comfortable. This thing he was wearing felt alright, but he could deal with it, not that he wouldn't wear anything his brother paid for. He looked around the room, taking in small details about it and trying to fight zoning out again. He didn't really know what to do, so the best solution was to go to this place where he couldn't hear well, or listen to much at all.

Umi walked over to Gab and patted him on the shoulder. “You can wear these home.” He said. “I don’t really think those other clothes will last.” He said looking at the clothes left in the changing room. “I’ll go pay for them, you take whatever you want to the front desk.” He said, turning back to pops to pay for the three uniforms and a new wallet for Gabriel. He was buying the wallet as a gift. A welcome to the family gift. Umi waited a moment before paying. “Is this all you want? He called to Gab, praying the boy would listen and acknowledge him.

Gabriel did come back into reality from his zoning after he heard Umi calling to him. "Oh, yes please. That's all." The boy didn't pick anything extra, he wasn't one for extra baggage of any sort unless he needed it, or it meant a great deal to him. He wandered over to where Umi was standing, paying for everything. He watched the price bar on the register with focused eyes. He eventually wanted to pay Umi back so he forced himself to focus on this one detail alone so he could clearly remember the number once he had money.

Umi nodded and turned to Pops to pay. “Why don’t you smile at him sometimes.” Pops said, ringing him up, charging it to his credit card. Umi just shrugged as the boy came to stand next to him, his eyes trained on the price bar. It rang to forty dollars. “Now to add your discount.” He grabbed a little paper with a barcode on in and Umi’s name. Yes, he had his own code for Pops cash register. And the price dropped past thirty. Umi smiled. “Thanks Pops.” The older man smiled. “You’re family.” He said. “And good for business.” He said,

Gabriel took a mental note of the price for future reference and heard these words clearly. He couldn't help but wonder, was he family to Umi? Or just some obnoxious adopted boy who he now had to live with and spend his hard earned money on. This troubled him for a while, but he stuffed it in the back of his mind as a smaller problem. He wandered away from the check out stand and over towards the door. The boy then stood by the window, his eyes fixed on the rain falling harder now on the asphalt and the multiple colored cars rushing by on the road to get home. A flash a lightning made him jump a little to himself but he contained the emotion quickly and wandered a little deeper into the store, withdrawing from the window.

After payment, the old man bagged the clothes and gave them to Umi to carry. Umi took them, one in each hand before looking over at the boy. He was staring at the rain again. A bright flash of lightening made the boy jump a little and Umi smirked. He watched the boy move away from the window as he approached from behind. He leaned down and whispered into his ear. He didn’t mean to, but his voice came out very sensual. “You’re afraid of lightening?” He asked, smiling before standing straight. He looked back at Pops. “Thanks we will see you soon.” He waved, bag in hands. The old man waved back. “You better.”

Gabriel was just looking at the other clothes to draw his attention away from the lightning. He did not hear the footsteps of his brother behind him but he did feel breathing in his ear and a presence looming over him suddenly. He heard it very clearly, the question, "You're afraid of lightening?". He felt a shiver travel up his spine, he was surprised that Umi was even speaking to him about it, and it sounded more like a fact that Umi had learned then a real question to him. But his voice, that's what made him shiver, the tone was unlike anything he had heard him speak in before. It took him a moment to shake himself back into that normal look before turning around to walk to the car again.

Yes, yes, Gab would be a fun one in bed. That was the thought that continued to play in Umi’s perverted head. Gabriel was his brother now. He couldn’t think like that. Besides, Gabriel couldn’t afford a night with him anyway. Even with a brother discount… Oh that sounded so wrong. He went to the door, unlocked his car before he and Gabriel ran out to get in the car. “Hurry so you don’t ruin your new clothes.” He said, shutting his door now that he was inside. He threw the bags into the back and began to dig through until he found the wallet. “Here a gift.”

Gabriel silently ran to the car, actually running so that the lightning wouldn't freak him out again like it did in the store. He shook the little bit of water out of his hair once he got into the car and closed the door. He heard bags rustling and turned his head to look, getting a wallet in his face. "Oh, thanks." He took the gift wallet and looked it over as if to inspect it, then pulled out his old wallet out and replaced his things, even the button and such, into the new wallet before putting them both in his new uniforms pocket. He was quiet the rest of the way home, not really looking out the window, just closing his eyes to rest until they arrived back home.

Umi couldn’t help but smile at the boy, to himself of course. Fear seemed to make him change his expression. And so did lust. He watched where he drove as his fingers drummed on the wheel. “It’s supposed to rain hard like this until tomorrow afternoon.” He said. “Mother should be home either tonight or tomorrow to meet you again.” He said. “And Father gets home this weekend.” He said, pulling into the driveway of their house. As he parked, a loud crack of lightening lit up the sky.

"Mm...I'd like to meet them..." Gabriel mumbled, half in a sleep like state until they parked and the thunder make a loud banging sound from the sky and lighting flashed. He held back a yelp and covered his ears and closed his eyes. When it was gone he recovered and opened the door, grabbing his things and going to the door of the home, waiting for Umi, hiding his impatience and fear to get inside.

Gab was half asleep when the lightning struck, causing the male to jump, covering his ears and shutting his eyes. He then grabbed his things and rushed out of the car and to the door of the house. He could tell the male was scared, even though he was trying to hid it. Umi got out of the car and ran to get out of the rain, opening the door to let Gab in before another stroke of lightning sounded out. He closed the door and locked it. “You alright?” He asked.

"Thanks. Yes." He answered normally as he moved up the stairs to his room quickly. Setting the bags down on the floor and going to the window and closing it and the blinds. He breathed a small sigh of relief. From the time that he wished he could forget he was scared of thunder and lightning. Both of them together was an even worse recipe. He took a few deep breaths before he went to get his clothes and hang them in the bare closet. He glanced around and realized the room still needed some decorating.

Gab answered normally before heading up to his room. Umi pulled his phone out and dialed a number. He weight for it to ring and for his date tonight to answer. “Hey Jonny…” he said with a kind of sick voice. “I’m going to have to cancel tonight.” He said with a cough. “I don’t feel so well.” He said, “I’m going to stay home and stay in bed.” After a few more minutes of the conversation, as Umi moved around the kitchen to make dinner, the call ended and Umi hung up, slipping his phone into his pocket as he began to hum to himself, thunder still loud outside.
