Mitsu looked to Shun for a moment her brows furrowed. She was unsure of the heirs but again they were still their best bet. Her main worry was their mental stability since she had seen on the field trip how little things could set them off.

"Would it seem terrible if we only invited one? Especially since the others will more than likely find out? I agree that Invictus would probably be the best approach but I imagine inviting one of them is like inviting all of them. Would it be best to approach him as if he would be representing them as a whole? That way we can focus working with him and the others might not feel uhh...left out?" Mitsu wasn't sure of the right word but it was obvious in the tone of her voice that she was leery this could go south.

Mitsu paused hearing Jericho in the chat. His speech pattern seemed a little off. It wasn't how it normally was from what she recalled. She didn't know him terribly well but he seemed a little on edge though this situation wasn't the greatest.

Checking his phone again, Jericho let out a light scoff and crossed his arms. He didn't say anything else into the Scythe call, nor did he respond to the text. No, instead, he was just watching the screen very. Very. Carefully. The dragon was being rather wary of this meeting now thanks to the number of graphical and audio glitches that occurred now and then.

----

Listening to Mitsu, Shun nodded lightly as she did have a point there.

"I figured Invictus would inform his fellow heirs anyway. But yes, it would not hurt to approach him as a representative for the rest of the group. We may be needing the aid of more than one of them in the end."

A flicker went through all the screens once more and Pepin appeared in the dragon's screen only looking more than displeased.

"Î͓̹͈̭̩̻̄̓͗͛̄l̗͈͔̘͙̱ͪ̾̈́̃̀̚͜ͅl̳̜̩̻͚̜͔͑ͣ̾͋ͦ͐̑ ̧̫͑ͭ̆ẉ̲̗̭ͯ͋i̘ͯͥ͋ͣͯͅr͉̯͎̩̣̉ͮ̚e̓ͭ̓̍̀ͫ ̝̰̖̩̹̺̔̿͂t̛̄ͬa͚͚͚̼͓ͣ͆̒̄͂̀̾͝p̜̏̂ ̡̩ÿ̭̭͔̥̮́͊ͨͨo̓̉̚͏̮̳̥u̡̝̮̞̒̈́ͨ͂̇͒ ̉̓̎͒ͪ͡i̤̙̪͔̯̘̓̓n̠ͨ͌ ͛̾̀ͭ͒̀̎a̟ͬ̔̑̐́ͦ̃̕ ̠̖̠͖̖͊ͩ͊̑ͦ͑ͧm͎͖͡ī̸̞̖̍n̈́͐ͪͬ҉͕͔̤̗̙͕ų͈̹̮͚t͎̳̼̼͎͛̇e̔̒ͫ!̡̮̩̠͉͚͓͋̔!͖͍̰͚͊̌ͣ̈͒ͪͅ"

Scowling, the glitch kept an eye on Jericho's desktop until her attention was drawn back to the dialogue of the meeting. Rather boring, it was.

"Out of the four I trust Aisa and Invictus the most. Invictus has like.. I unno. The girl with the bones? NOPE. The other I only really talked to once."
PostPosted: Wed Feb 29, 2012 6:17 pm

Jericho shifted back and away when the screen flickered again, frowning as Pepin soon showed up. Though, he had no idea what the hell she just said. So in returned, he just growled at her.

---

"Agreed. Aisa seems to be fairly level headed from what I've seen. Eris... she may have some temper issues. I hadn't seen too much of her personally either, though," Shun noted.

…You know…speaking of GroanSpring…Hel had the sudden urge to check hers, due to not being able to earlier when the computer problems struck. Thus, while the Scythe chat was still running, the ghoul commandeered Mot’s lap top. She batted and shooed his fingers away from any reclaiming attempts while she pulled up the interweb tab and logged onto her GroanSpring.

The ghoul hummed a bit quietly as she browsed some of the other accounts, and peeked at Invictus’ page again. Okay…he wasn’t all that active, but still, it was better than nothing. She then checked her inbox, scowling softly at Roch’s question about following him publicly…whatever that meant. Hel elbows the cowboil next to her, and then pointed at her screen and made an expression that said fix it. After some magic happened (which only involved a few simple clicks, Jack damn, Mot must have really been a warlock), Hel surfed the screen that listed her who she was following and her followers.

…Oh hey…Weren’t…they talking about a certain family earlier…especially on the forum? This must have been one bad coincidence!

Oi!” Hel cried out now. “Shun!” She hoped she had the grim’s attention as she stared at his GroanSpring page. “I did not know your last name was Kuroda as well, friend!” Poor sucker.

As soon as Hel spoke out over the chat Mitsu's expression turned to concern as she looked to Shun. She knew of how close Shun actually was to the situation and how much he was risking by bringing this to light. Obviously most of the others were oblivious and Mitsu wasn't sure if the reaper wanted to really spread clarity on anything or not.

Silently she waited to see what Shun would do, feeling perhaps a twinge of guilt pooling. She had been the one to suggest he bring this up after all. It was such a terrible and delicate situation. They could easily have people coming at them from all angles if they weren't careful.

Jericho was acting weird again, like during the party, and part of her was starting to worry if he could continue the meeting; what if he starts freaking out? He was using 'us' and 'we' again, but she was pretty sure that Malodore said that there were only one other person - probably Riley - with it... Which would mean that Jericho was alone, right? So why would he be using-

"... Shun?" She blinked; now that Hel had mentioned it, wasn't it weird... How much the reaper knew about the mafia's operations? She paused, clasped Mac on the shoulder and let out a soft groan as she held her tummy, "Uhhh, I think Xiu's tea from last night is not agreeing with me. Mac, Amrita, you guys take over!"

Lizzy is sorry Xiu. She truly is.

Without another word, she then proceeded to lock herself in Mac's bathroom, making sure to lock the door before lowering the cover of the toilet and taking a seat on top of it; time to get some answers.

Quote:
"Shun Kuroda."

She spoke directly into the speaker, although her voice would come out as the Admin's; of course, she was also trying her best to speak as softly as possible, which might be why over Scythe, 'Admin' sounded softer than usual.

"You have the right to remain silent, but if we are to involve ourselves in this operation, the least we should have is your trust," She tried to stop her voice from wavering; she liked Shun, but she was also supposed to be neutral, "Perhaps it is time to share with us how you obtained information on this 'Kuroda Mafia' and its operations. I don't think that they would openly advertise such an... Underground operation, after all."

She felt terrible. So terrible. Maybe she could flush herself down the toilet after this.

"I'm assuming that you are risking a lot by bringing this to us, but you must understand that we are also risking a lot by involving ourselves and our friends," Come on, come on, "Any information disclosed over this chat will remain confidential, and among us only."

There's a reason why they only invited certain people.

"Regarding the heirs, Invictus will be invited first, but do not worry. The invitation will be extended to the reminding three heirs. It pays to be... Careful, and even if they are on our side, I had seen the three heirs act out before. We must tread lightly."

Vaith was pretty relieved that Xiu had let him into her room for the meeting. He pretty uch sat there i his designated, munching on chips and snacks while he stared at what Xiu typed on the computer screen. He was only getting caught up on the operation just now, thinking that the recorded voice was rather .. bland.

Naturally, it was a generated voice. What else would it be?

He looked at the topic of conversation. Mafia, heirs and confidential information. It was a headache to take it all in, Vaith's fingers traveling to rub at his temples with a light pressure, eyes wincing. They were getting into pretty complicated stuff. His hand nudged Xiu's shoulder, offering her some of the bagof snacks he had already started on.

At first, Shun lightly face palmed as Hel decided to have a revelation at a rather choice moment. Letting out a sigh, he caught Mitsu's gaze with a sort of grimace. This... could be interesting. Frowning, he turned his attention back to his computer once the Admin began to speak up again. The tone was different now, though he supposed it was because of this new.. connection.

He remained silent for a few more seconds as he tried to decide just how he was going to put it. Well. No matter what, it was probably going to sound bad. Best get it over with.

"I know because I am Kaitou Kuroda's son. And it is currently my job to track the heir's movements," he said plainly.

-----

Jericho's eyes widened as he heard all of this. Clenching his fists, he soon practically roared into the mic.

"WHAT? WE CANNOT TRUSSST HIM. HE ISSSS ONE OF THEM!"

As far as he was concerned, this could potentially be a part of the plan of keeping track of where the horsemen were at all times. He was starting to think that tying up the reaper and stuffing him into a closet somewhere until they were through dealing with the situation was a good idea.

Well, that answered that. Pepin? That name sounded somewhat familiar... He thought to check his phone, but he imagined that Lizzy wouldn't much like him being distracted in something that was supposed to be seriously serious. Amrita had abandoned the pups to play with DC as the meeting started, and they listened fairly intently to what was being said; neither of them had much input, as neither of them had substantial interactions with the Horsepeople.

Lizzy also received a pair of very different reactions as she excused herself to the bathroom; one was wide-eyed with concern while the other...didn't seem to care too much, aside from an irritated passing glance. Xiu? He didn't know who Xiu was, but he was pretty sure he'd have to have a talk with her about poisoning his ghoulfriend.

It was a good thing that the bathroom, like the rest of his room, was mysteriously soundproof.

"WHAT?!" Mac gasped out, his voice echoing with Amrita's "Eeeeeh?!" in the background. "HOLY s**t JERICHO, CALM THE JACK DOWN!" Mac yelled, unaware how loud he was being due to his ears ringing. Thanks, Jericho. Thanks.

Amrita had nothing else to say, as she was covering her ears to try and stop them from echoing so bad.

"Look, I don't like Shun; in fact, I hate his jackin' guts to the human world and back~ but even I have to admit he's got balls for asking for help and admitting to it." It...it actually sounded like it seriously physically pained him to give Shun any credt. "What's the point of warning us about it and asking for help to stop it if he planned to sell us out after?"

There were other worries he had about this whole group, but now didn't seem the time to bring it up...

Xiu was so focused on the conversation that she jumped at Vaith's light nudge. Looking at him in surprise, she blinked at him, and then the snacks that he was offering her. Trying not to laugh, the ghoul grinned and took one of the offered chips. "Thank you. Do you want anything to drink, or are you set?"

He had brought drinks, she noticed, but the baku was already halfway out of her chair already when she suddenly heard Shun speak over Scythe. Her smile promptly dropped at that name--Kaitou Kuroda--but it was Jericho's comment that had her bristling.

"If we couldn't trust him, then he wouldn't even be telling us these things!" Xiu piped up immediately after Mac had spoken, suddenly very glad she was no longer wearing a headset (all this yelling, oh jack), "The point of being in the couriers is that we're all supposed to believe in one another. Aniki didn't have to tell us all of this, but he did because he trusted us. The least we can do is trust him back!"

By this point, Xiu had pushed her seat back and stood up, cheeks puffed out and tail unhappily lashing behind her at the accusal that had just been thrown at her "big brother". Of course, no one except Vaith could see her, but that wasn't the point, okay.

"Ah you little heathen c**t, no wonder you were always so shifty and quiet-" Bul spat out with a cruel laugh. His reaction was prompted by Jericho's over-the-top reply. There was also a ringing in his ear that he had to sort out by turning away from the computer screen. Not like he and Shun interacted very much prior to this or anything.

"OH-" Jericho's yell almost made her drop her phone, and she quickly clasped her hand over her mouth so that she wouldn't end up randomly yelling in Mac's toilet; she wasn't sure Mac would believe her if she said that her yelling was due to 'violent stomach pains'.

Covering the speaker on her phone, she yelled, "Mac? Amrita? What happened?"

…Oops. Did she just open a can of something? Honestly at first, Hel didn’t think it had any connection, but apparently it did.

The reaper just blankly stared at the laptop on her lap as Shun made his claim and everyone else seemed to explode and react to it. Hel looked over at Mot with a puzzled expression. So Shun was the son of that corrupt family? Talk about bad family honor and expectations…though the reaper had a bit of a reflective moment. She thought back on past conversations she had with Shun, about the future and such and well…it made a lot more sense now.

As Mac spoke up though, well, Hel could not resist making a dig. “Oh, Mac!” She called out good naturedly once there was a pause. "Good to hear some actual, decent logic out of you, ya? Finally." She snickered, pausing. “Ah, Shun. I do not care what your family connections are. I will still fight by your side any day! If any one of you want to disagree and try to harm him, I will fight you about it after this meeting.” The ghoul was grinning widely. It was as simple as that for Hel, really. Working as a team in the Haunted House, and all the time they spent together between then and now helped to solidify that.

Oh Jack..

Mot had to hold his hands over his ears as the yelling and anger burned through the speakers. Luckily a lot of people jumped to his defense, but he could understand why there was unrest.

Hel's declaration was expected, and Mot sighed. Placing a hand on the ghoul's head, he gave it a pat. "Let's not turn this into a war amongst each other."
