about She's a born cynic and pessimist, but you'd be surprised how it manifests. Like her father, she loves the world but she doesn't travel much. She's made cozy home for herself in a lone corner of the swamp. Close enough that she can find some companionship when she needs it but far enough away that she doesn't have to "live with the idiots of the world". She's learned the trick of preserving and drying foods since she's a bit of a glutton.

about As ancient and ageless as the sheer cliffs of her homeland, Stonewash is something of a symbol amongst the exiled Totoma. She is a reminder of their strength, their endurance. Sometimes she will tell stories to the youngesters that will never know winter. Sometimes she dreams of the end of days, of the swamp engulfed by ice, but she tells no one. Her dreams are her own.
naming She had always been meticulous. When the spring came she was first in the lake and last out. Always she carried a stone with her, and though many had known her since she was a child, they did not know why she carried it. As the years passed, the color leeched out until the stone was as white as her pelt. Stonewash, Stonewash, they would call, tell us the secret behind your stone. But she did not say.

naming When she lost her mate, she stood at the peak for an entire season looking to the sun, the stars, and the sky for his return. She did not speak. Neither wind nor rain could move her, but eventually the herd called to her and they said: he will not return. Thrice they tried to persuade her to come down, and thrice they failed. But on the fourth try, she collapsed to her knees, a single phrase uttered into the wind.

Thus, she clings to her twin brother. She's jealous of her sister, Southern Cross, who was born an acha.
