The smile relaxed at the kiss, Clerise was proving fun company for the night. Even with the unexpected guests and drama, the blonde was glad she'd invited her over. Just the thought of how awkward this would have all been without her here gave Clarice a cold shiver. Following after, she grabbed another towel and gave it to Jerry, "You can change in here, and join us kay? You uh...you can handle this yourself right?"
You can totally handle this, Jerry. I believe in you. Please don't make this more strange and complicated.

Well look at you, Roar chuckled, sounding impressed and plenty effected by the buzz of Jerry's alcoholic buffer. When he drank this much it was almost as good as Fear. Almost but not quite. Being asked to strip by two perfectly eligible mateys. Honestly, that red head's much more my type than your skinny cocoa bean. Good on you.
Jerry's face went red and his lips pursed a moment, clutching the towel to his chest while successfully not spilling his drink.
He debated his options for only a moment before wobbling forward with a shy grin, "Is that an offer to help?" He ventured hopefully with the confidence and smoothness of the sloppily intoxicated.
He WAS working on his... phobias after all. And.... and this was a safe place. Heckyeah, said the bottle clutched in his hand.

Clerise was glad to see her new friend loosening up a little. She was so much prettier when she didn't look stressed halfway to hell and back.
She was blissfully ignorant of the conversation Jerry and his weapon were having, and his venture was met with a singular quirked eyebrow.
"To get you naked? ********. For hot sexy times? Sorry, charlie, but you're not my type."
She turned to Clarice, motioning that she could go. "I'll drag him in here in a sec. Save me a spot and pour me some more sake~" Clerise was tipsy, still, but she wanted to renew the feeling under the beautiful billows of steam.
So, getting onto her knees precariously-- she helped separate Jerry and his clothes. That was the easy part-- the hard part would be finding a way to practically carry the guy without him possibly giving her a technicolor yawn.

Jerry's answer brought the panicked look back to Clarice's face, but once again Clerise saved her from the awkward. The other woman was proving to be a real asset. Beaming at the two, the blonde ageed happily, "I'll go get everything ready!" As she hurried into the bathroom, she murmured under her breath, "I am so keeping you."
After toweling up, she grabbed another bottle of chilled sake and an extra dish for Jerry. She really hoped the different drinks wouldn't have him puking all over her Happy Place. Stepping into the steam and get settled back down, Clarice felt that she'd rather just not think about that right now.

"I- er- that is- AHH!" Jerry nearly toppled over as his pants were thus torn from him. He had, in the heat of everything, forgotten he was wearing an additional valentine's present for Candace he had not had the frame of mind to remove. The bottle went flying, but thankfully he scrambled to catch it before it hit the floor, setting it down safely with a "Sssh! Sssh!" Don't spill me, the bottle admonished, that would be rude. "Ahaha I was um! Joking!" He cleared his throat, the usual terrors bubbling up, but with the cushion of.... everything... He found himself just sighing, "Thank you, though, ahaha..." As though to prove he wasn't totally terrified, he lifted his hands to finish unbuttoning his shirt before quickly tossing the towel around himself, his face red.

Clerise let a wild cackle of glee out as Jerry rolled about, saying naught a word about his naughty little undies-- her face said quite enough. "That's well and good, but you're still coming with me-- you're kinda ******** if you puke here."
She thought for a second. "Well, you're ******** if you puke in there, too. But at least I'll know you didn't drown in your own hurl." Clerise lifted her hands off of the poor guy, watching him undress with bemused indifference.
Shortly afterwards, she scooped the man up, bridal style, cradling him in his arms-- and gave him a drunken leer. "Paws off miss lady-- I want her." There was no possessiveness in her voice, not like Robert had displayed not so long ago-- just blunt admission.
She wanted to tap that a**.

Clarice welcomed them into the steam room with an friendly, "Has the steam and drinks already gotten to me or this actually happening?" Possibly she meant the situation as a whole, or maybe it was just the sight of Life's new amazon carrying Jerry into the steam bath like some kind of...war bride. Something sounding suspiciously like a giggle sounded from her throat at the idea of it, which meant that Clarice definitely needed to pour herself another drink.
While she was at it, she poured one for Clerise and Jerry as well.

Jerry was not short. But he was very slight and Clerise was very... robust. He gave a fresh yelp that devolved into a giggle as he was suddenly carted into the hot box, clinging frantically to his towel.
His shirt was left behind, leaving countless old bite marks from Christmas and especially a back that was twice as fried as his face to bear.
Still giggling, he thrashed a fist pathetically against her shoulder, "Put me down, you brute!" The epitome of manliness, that one.

"This is a thing, miss lady," Clerise says with grave seriousness, ignoring Jerry's struggles. He was so light-- and then she was chiming in with giggles, her own bubbling laughter joining Jerry's and Clarice's. The scars didn't bother her-- she didn't even blink at them. They were bad, sure, but it was a given, considering their profession...
"Quittt your biiitchinnn'," Clerise grunted, hoisting Jerry onto one of the seats a little bits away from where Clarice was, turning on her heel to grab his cup and handing it to him. The redhead snagged her own drink, taking a slow sip.
"AW, s**t. I forgot my ********' towel." Running from the steam bathroom to grab it, Clerise quickly shimmied out of the terrycloth robe and wrapping herself back up in the towel, the acrobat FINALLY sat down, relaxing on the bench.
"I was promised chocolate," Clerise said after a moment, pouting at her blonde friend. "BOOZE filled chocolate."

Cocking her eyebrow at the other woman, Clarice explained, "We're in a steam bath, and I refuse to spend the rest of my night licking melted chocolate off my hand." She gave Clerise a sly smile, "I may...however, have put a couple in the fridge so they'd last." Getting up once more she turned and shook her finger at the other two, "This is the last time I'm getting up for a good long while, got it?"
While grabbing the small bowl of chocolates from the fridge, Clarice also grabbed a couple water bottles and carried it back it, "You can each have two." There were eight in there, but clearly Clarice was a woman who knew where to draw her line when it came to friendship vs. chocolate. "And if you start feeling dehydrated, drink some water, kay?"

Jerry leaned back against the comfortable bench, letting his head loll. Alright. This was definitely better than sobbing in his room. "I haven't been in a sauna or anything in like... ever." he chuckled. Long legs stretched out, his hands folded around the little cup of sake before he gave it a much more appreciative sip than he had given the last two bottles handed his way.
After a soft sigh, he started to hum quietly to himself. Eventually, a few lyrics slipped through, but they were quickly stifled. "Whyyyy does the rain fall from up above? Why do fools fall in love..."

Greedily, Clerise snatched one of the two chocolates, squeeing in a manner that Clarice was likely already getting used to.
It was the excited, giddy sound of a child. God, she loved chocolate. She grabbed a bottle of water as well, just to have it, and licked her fingers clean like a content feline. She obviously didn't care about having to do such things-- and, without much hesitation, grabbed the second one. Clerise was a little more appreciative of the second, eating it with slow reverenc--
Oh. What was that voice? It couldn't be anyone but Jerry, and the sound gave her chest a mild pang. "Didn't know you were a singer," was all the amazonian broad murmured, leaning back against the wall, letting her muscles turn into butter. "Kinda nice..."

Giving the woman beside her a look that clearly proclaimed that she was a barbarian, Clarice slowly placed her first piece in her mouth. For several long moments she just let it sit there, allowing it to melt slightly. Then she delicately teased through the chocolate with her tongue, allowing a little of the rum to spill into her mouth. Closing her eyes, Clarice allowed herself to just slowly wallow in the combination of chocolate, rum, steam, and...was Jerry singing?
When her mouth was no longer full, she opened her eyes to look over at him, "You know, it's okay to sing sad songs when your heart's a bit broken and battered, guy. So go ahead and just let it all out."

Jerry opened an eye, glancing from one lady to another, looking a bit embarrassed for a moment. He motioned to the chocolates, indicating they could share his ration. He licked his lips, humming the refrain to try to find the melody again as well as trade his sake for a sip of water, "Love is a losing game, Love can be ashamed, I know of a fool, You see, For that fool is me..." He had picked up a bit of volume before continuing a bit more heartedly, his voice filling the small room not unpleasantly, "Tell me why, Whyyyy, Whyyy..." At that point, his expression turned freshly miserable and he gave a fresh sniff, "I broke my guitar." He pouted.
Why had he broken it again? He almost forgot, his brain nothing but a puff of steam in the warm room, his eyes threatening to close and not open again in it's comforting embrace.

Clerise's throat went a bit dry as she observed Clarice making a rather...appealing face as she ate the chocolate. It was rather obvious that she was. Uh. Enjoying the treat.
There was a heartbeat where she was staring with a dumbfounded face before Clerise could snap out of it, turning to face Jerry as he sang with more oomph than she would have expected from such a slight fellow.
Her fingers snaked to take his chocolate, nibbling at it as he wailed. She hardly understood the meaning behind love songs-- whether they sang it praise or cursed it-- but it was beautiful, she could gather that much. Beautiful in a bittersweet sort of way.
"Now why'd you go 'n do that, stupid?" Plus, ROBERT had taken it. She'd seen him interact with chemicals-- no good could come from this.
