"The bet never went sour. There were certain details left in gray areas I decided to use to my advantage." Titus stated simply.
He smiled again as Riyo attempted to get under his skin. A for effort, he had to give her that much. Her observant nature would pay off if she were playing on his team. "I do have a certain youthful vitality about me. It's tough looking so good. I have to say I'm not sure how flattering it is to look so old they don't even bother to ask for an ID. They just simply hand you a drink."
He chuckled to himself though that quickly faded when the demoness leaned into him. His brow quirked at her compliment, chills running up his spine. Did he like the recognition? You better believe it though something about it was sending off alarm bells in his brain. "You bet it does, Screechheart. It melts my heart to see your squirm."

Grey areas her a**! Stupid little sonofabitch! Oh, and how he was saying she looked OLD? MOTHER F-
"Heart, you say?" The contact made her skin crawl. Being so close to Titus made her feel unpleasant, as if he was covered in parasites and just touching him would infest her too. In a way, perhaps, he was. "You and I both know you don't have a heart." They say flattery will get you everywhere. Well, Riyo was about to test that theory. One of her dainty hands reached up to run a finger down the length of his horn. "You're as devious and evil as they come. The lowest of lowlifes. Dirtier than mud. Why, I bet one look at you sends scarelings crying to their mommies." Since Titus hated being called a gentleman, the feline figured everything opposing that would just tickle him pink. Ohh, it would be too rich if this worked. Just too rich.

Riyo's thoughts were right on the money. The feline was currently feeding every angle of Titus' over inflated ego. The smile he wore grew longer, another shiver running down his spine to accompany her finger running along his horn. Far be it for Titus to know that slowly but surely Riyo was wrapping him around her little finger because he was eating this up by the spoonful.
"You are certainly full of charm at the moment aren't you?" Titus cooed. "So glad you finally took notice of my talents."

On the inside, Riyo was dying.
Dying from laughter.
Oh, would you look at him? It was as if she'd just given a child one giant lollipop to suck on, and he'd willingly taken the bait. "Oh, Titus. I've always known about your 'talents'. It's just taken me this long to admit it." ahahah, it was like a fun little game. How far could the boil shove his head up his own a**?
"Alas.." Now was the time to put the real plan into action. Raising the back of her hand to her forehead, she practically fell into the boil. "I would continue finding synonyms for your slyness, but I am drunk, and the smell of man sweat is getting to me." Could she trick him into asking her on a date? Eh, it was a long shot. Riyo wasn't really drunk. Her cheeks were a little rosy, but she was far from being as inebriated as she was acting. "Oh, I should not have had that last martini. Shame on me."

Oh sweet Jack, she was really laying it on thick. Titus even found himself standing a little taller and ...wait.....wait...did she just bring up the fact that she was drunk? To many other men that would probably be the go ahead to get in on that action. For Titus, however, it was only a reminder of what he couldn't have. If only to rub this fact in his face she had to mention her martini...and not just one but the last martini...which meant she had multiples.
His expression falling neutral Titus gave a nod. "Shame on you." And with that he abruptly moved away not caring much that Riyo was leaning into him. If she fell it was her own fault. "Well, keep up the good work Screechheart. Let me know when you would like to try someplace else. Your time for the evening is ticking away."

It was working. IT WAS WORKING. IT-
Woah wait a minute what the hell had just happened? Riyo actually had to throw her arms out to catch herself that time, figuring the nightmare demon would be stupid to pull away. Well, yeah. She should've figured. He WAS pretty stupid.
The ghoul's ears fell back against her head as she shot the boil a confused look, holding back a pout with all her might. That wasn't fair! A second ago he had practically been eating out of her hand, and at the drop of a hat he just moved away? Had it been something she said? No, couldn't have been. She'd been careful with her words. Hadn't she?
Riyo folded her arms and glanced back to the bar with the desire to drown the feeling of failure in her soul. It looked like she was going to head that way, too, but something waved a flag to get her attention.
"Wait. You said we could go somewhere else?" The feline stepped forward to close the gap he'd just made between them. "Will you take me somewhere that's NOT a gay bar?"

Ah, so she had caught that little note. " Of course, I never said we had to stay here. And technically this isn't a 'gay bar' its just unfortunate the majority of the patrons appear to be at the moment." Titus shrugged as if that couldn't be helped and it hadn't been planned. " You were brimming with such confidence I figured you were determined to turn the heads of the opposite gender no matter the challenge." That devious smile said it all but Titus continued without much pause. " But if the Princess would like to go somewhere else I can surely take you to another happy hunting ground." There was a pause this time before Titus did decide to add. " That's not a gay bar." Somewhere in the back of the bar a song started to play that wasn't entirely out of place at the moment.

Sweet Jack stop calling me kitty cat...
To have the wolf following him in his retreat, slow as it was, made his hackles raise. He glanced around in a growing panic, looking for the person he knew he wasn't going to see.
Despite wanting to strangle Nuk for not answering his text, Deacon was never telling him how this went down. At least not this much of it.
"Don't get your hopes up, fuzzy. I'm here to meet a skinwalker, not some common wolf."
That had been a bit cold, but Deacon didn't care. He wasn't here for this bullshit. This guy was a very unwelcome distraction from what he was really here for.
And he just so happened to bump into that reason in his attempt to retreat, without risking to turn his back on the flirtatious wolf.

Oh, what appropriate music for the situation. Riyo was NOT amused.
"Yeah, it's a little too convenient for me to believe you didn't know about this beforehand, you little cretin. And don't you dare try to play this off as if I'm weak. I'm confident, but I'm no miracle worker." She'd like to see him do better.
"Lets g-" Riyo was about to push her and the nightmare demon forward and out the door... Until she felt someone bump into her.
That scent. She knew that scent. Oh sweet Jack no. Not here, not like this. She was not okay with seeing him again. Really ever, but right now seemed like an even worse time.
Any color the feline had sported immediately drained from her face as she stared straight ahead, not really at anyone or anything, but as a place for her eyes to stare in avoidance of right next to her. What should she do? Run away? No, running away would show Titus how weak she truly was on the inside. Why did she care so much about whether or not he saw? Especially now. Especially after what the cat boil had done.
No. She couldn't expose herself. The weak, frail side of her couldn't take another hit. She had to take what was left of her shattered defenses and build a makeshift shield. The pieces of the wall didn't fit right anymore, but it would have to do... Just for now.
Her fists clenched tightly as her eyes finally dared to look at Deacon, mustering up the strength to shove him away. "H-hey a*****e. I'm standing here." Her voice faltered once. Only once. "Didn't know you were into this kinda thing. Guess that explains a lot."

Titus shrugged. That was about the only reply Riyo was going to get. She seemed to have an eye for the truth but Titus wasn't going to back up her already solid theory. "When did I ever say you were weak?" Titus mused with a smile. "I don't recall those words ever leaving my lips." He was about to follow the demoness out the door but she had stopped.
Quirking a brow at Riyo, Titus looked passed her to the feline boil who happened to run into her. There was something subtle in her reaction and Titus tried to read it. Dread? Fear? Nervousness? It was so small it was hard to say but he was amused non the less when she turned on the boil with a few cruel words. So he wasn't the only one on Riyo's s**t list. He would just have to make sure he was number one.
"A friend of your's, Princess?"
"Common? I'm not common," The wolf scoffed. "What's so good about a mangy skinwalker anyway?" The wolf began to back up and leave then more than a little offended.

"No." Riyo said immediately, her eyes narrowing as she looked away from the cat demon. "Just... Some guy from school." It wasn't lying, but it certainly wasn't letting on to what was really happening. Her face took on a forced look of neutrality, and before Deacon could say a word, she went the ******** out. Quick, fast, and in a hurry. Or at least as fast as someone in killer heels could go.
"And this time I'm taking the elevator, a*****e." Heels clicking on the floor, Riyo tried to rush to the elevator faster than Titus could catch up... Though... It probably wouldn't work. You know. Heels and all. Then waiting for the cab to return. Ugh...

Watching Riyo walk off in a hurry Titus turned to Deacon and gave a non to subtle thumbs up before he started to back out of the room. "Au revoir, a*****e." With a mock salute Titus was heading out the door behind Riyo, his longer strides easily able to keep up with the crippled feline.
He paused when they came to the elevator, smiling as he leaned against the wall waiting for it to arrive. "You seem a little frazzled, Ms. Boil. Did the tom cat back there manage to burrow under your skin further than I have?" If so he was going to have to up the ante. Bring on his A game.

Jack dammit. Of course he'd caught up with her.
"Oh Titus, nobody could ever get under my skin as well as you do." She sighed, the statement obviously a lie. Leaning up against the wall next to him, the ghoul smiled sadly for a moment, and just a moment. "If you're really trying to hurt me, you're going about it in all the wrong ways." Of course she didn't mean the physical kind of harm, though far be it from her to put that sort of thing past Titus, but his devilish antics only ranged from mildly annoying to infuriating. None of it ever really stuck.
"That tom cat simply caught me off guard once. That's all." No, it wasn't all. It was far from being everything. He'd invaded her sanctuary, stolen her secrets, and pretended to be something she trusted. Something she was still trying to recover from...
When the elevator dinged and the door opened, Riyo immediately entered, the slow, painful reminder of her shoes beginning to kick in. Oh sweet Sally... "So where we goin' next?"

"If I really wanted to hurt you, I would have," Titus said casually with a bit of a scoff. "You think its hard to play nice? If there is one thing I can do it's lie but something of that measure takes far too much work and time. I'm just in this for the fun." He enjoyed watching people squirm the most if he managed to hurt them in the process, hey bonus! Otherwise he wasn't going to put the effort in. It was far too much commitment and Titus was not a commitment kind of guy.
That smile never left the demon's face when Riyo said the tom cat had merely caught her off guard. No, that wasn't it. Titus could tell by her reaction alone. Deacon had earned himself a special notation next to his name on Riyo's s**t list. Oh how delightful. It made Titus very curious.
When the door to the elevator dinged Titus stepped inside and hit the button for the ground floor. That done he leaned against the wall and waited for the elevator to descend. He said nothing more about the tabby but he looked to be thinking when Riyo asked where they were going.
"I think I have a place in mind. You should have a fair chance," He rolled his eyes at the idea since she was making such a fuss about it. "And you'll be glad to know its far enough we need to take a cab."

It was... Weird.
Riyo was somehow... Strangely comforted by Titus's assurance he had no intentions of hurting her. Obviously it wasn't done to make her feel any better. Just for Titus's own amusement, but she was okay with that. It was as much of an assuring pat on the back that the ghoul was ever gonna get. Turning her head away from the boil, she tried to hide a smirk. Her feet hurt, she still couldn't stop tugging her dress down, and honestly the alcohol hadn't gone near as far enough as she wished...
But things could've been worse.
"... Why does that not comfort me?" The ghoul asked before her face turned serious again, eyebrow raised to her hairline. "There are plenty of bars around here. Why don't we just go to those?"
The elevator dinged again, and Riyo moved back out into the day. "And where are we going now? The barren countryside with only the farmers and their candy corn fields?
