 Mathis Zevron "Heartless are such curious beings..." ☆ ✦ ☾ ✦ ☆ Mathis sighed when he saw Lorelei summon a bunch of heartless. She was helping, but a bit too much. "Childish games." He watched his wizard heartless fight. "Akito won't like it if they show up as red paste." Mathis' eyebrows twitched from Lorelei's annoyance.
Mathis' golden eyes watched Nix. She had taken damage and was bleeding. She yelled up at them. "Brave girl, but stupid." He muttered. There was no way she could take the Guild down and Akito's new allies. He grinned. "She can try if she wants."
He listened to Kyoki's question. Lorelei answered before he could. Mathis placed a hand on Kyoki's shoulder to ease him. "Easy Kyoki. We can play with them later. Akito needs them alive." He chuckled and removed his hand. "Lorelei is right. Akito has been looking for her. It seems like she's come out of hiding. Akito will be excited to see her." He grinned. Lorelei called back her spell casters. He was happy she did. They would last longer now. The Rabid Dog heartless spun around in circles excited to see all the hearts. It ate a few of the hearts that the dead heartless did not need anymore. ☆ ✦ ☾ ✦ ☆

 Two εmerald
“Glowing dim as an ember, things my heart used to know…” ╔══════════════╗ ☪ Emerald emerged from the Dark corridor behind Mathis, Kyoki, and Lorelei. “Hello.” she said simply as she walked passed them and towards the edge of the building. She then sat down and crossed her legs and set her moogle plush companion in her lap. She watched the battle ensue between the Protega members and their hordes of Heartless.
The green haired girl was happy that it was unlikely she’d have to fight the Protega, her heart was never really in the fight but she would always do what Master Akito wished. She hugged her doll and hummed a melody to some song she wasn’t sure how she knew.

 Leon N. Mason XA кιℓℓєʀ In me is a killer in уσυ X══════════════ Leon stood there, back against the wall for both support, and looking for a way out. The soldiers had him surrounded, and they stepped towards him slowly, their armor clinking with each step. Leon's vision blurred for a second, after the injury. He sighed, and shook his head, clearing his vision, and getting his head straight. Well, that is a lie, it actually worsened his headache, though his vision became slightly fuzzier. He rubbed his head a bit, holding where his wound was. It had opened up again, though the effects weren't so bad. His hand returned stained in crimson, and he tried to keep his composure, but you could see panic in his eyes.
He heard Nix cry out in pain, and Leon wanted nothing more than to help her, but he was preoccupied. He would have to help from here. "CURE!" He roared, aiming Metal Chocobo at her, and Leon's own green light enveloped her, healing most of her wounds. "Relax Nix! They want this, they're trying to get too you. Just focus on the situation at hand and we'll deal with the bastards another time!" He reassured her, keeping a steady eye at his current opponents, bringing his Keyblade back down in front of him. On time too, Leon sidestepped a brave Soldier, and swiped it from the side, and stomped another shadow that tried to gnaw on him. A second Soldier saw its chance and charged. He moved out of the way, as he did with the first, and made a viscous uppercut. ══════════════ The bitter ѕαdηεѕѕ of someone left αlσηε Quote: Soldiers Killed: 25 out of ??  Johnny Kurusel Mandango "No matter how dark it gets, I know I'm not alone." ┈ ━ ═ ☆ ═ ━ ┈ Johnny smirked a bit as he took a quick glance behind him at Sora. Giving a thumbs up, he turned and quickly used that same Cyclone maneuver to take down two more Soldiers. Spinning around, he quickly hit an oncoming Soldier with the hilt of his blade to temporarily stun it before spinning around and cleaving the head off of another Soldier. In a matter of moments, this new side of Johnny had finished off all twelve Soldiers he had charged at prior to Sora saving him from the three Shadows on his butt.
When he was finally done, he turned and pointed his keyblade at Sora. His friend was wounded, and so, with his new accessory equipped, he cast his new Cure spell to heal his ally's wounds. Bending over, he put his hands on his knees and began trying to catch his breath. "Woo! Wow. That was fun. Since when could I do all of that?!" When he had finally caught his breath, he stood up straight again and began to laugh happily. Johnny was having a wonderful time, and when he saw two Large Bodies closing in on Sora, he grinned.
Rushing over to his friend, he leaped over the head of the first Large Body and began slashing away at the creature. Upon hitting the ground, he turned and quickly shot a Fire spell at the enemy's back. When it fell on its rather rotund belly, Johnny leaped up onto its back and ran it through with his blade, ripping it through the Large Body's head on its way out. When it turned to dust, Johnny turned to Sora and grinned. "This is FUN!" Quote: Coat of the Fire Dragon:Added fire resistance, Fireproof clothing Ring of the Archsage:Can use Cure spell. If party members are close by then not only are they healed automatically (once) but they get a temporary boost in Defense and Magic for Three turns. “The world will never take my heart.” ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ ✗ Kana saw new kind of heartless immerging, it wasn’t just Shadows and Soldiers now. There were now a prevalent amount of Large Bodies and Wizards in the area were probably going to become a problem. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” The blonde muttered as she looked at the new species of Heartless in the area. They looked tough, was she even going to be a match? She shook her head, she couldn’t think that way, she needed to be positive right now.
Kana was pulled away from her thoughts as a Soldier jumped at her and gave her a good kick to her abdomen. Kana had the wind knocked out of her and fell over, holding her now most likely bruised stomach. Focus Kana or you’re going to get yourself killed! she mentally scolded herself. The Soldier who had caused her to fall clinked over to her with two more of its kind along with it. The blonde quickly stood and winced as she did, the injury from the Shadow to her calf was going to be a hindrance.
She then charged at the three Soldiers, decapitating one and then quickly casting a fire spell with Silent Twilight at the other two who quickly dissolved. Kana wobbled as she stood, she was feeling fatigue set it. Magic was not her forte it seemed, it took a lot out of her to cast spells. A natural mage was definitely not what she was. The blonde took a deep breath and regained her composure, passing out right now would NOT be good.

 ℝoxas ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ There it was. Another odd light. Reaching out a corporeal hand to touch it, the part of Sora that was Roxas could feel a strange pull calling him forth. As he wasn't quite sure what was going on, he simply chose to follow it to try and find his answers. And then it happened, Roxas was separated from Sora once more. Unsure as to what exactly just happened, he rubbed his eyes and looked up into the sky.
The sun, the chill breeze brushing past his cheeks, the feel of the ground beneath his feet, and the sound of fighting all around him. Blinking his eyes a few times, he repeated the last part in his head. Fighting all around me? Heartless? Screaming? Yelling? What is going on? Glancing around, he could see many people he didn't know, along with one incredibly familiar face, doing battle with four different varieties of Heartless. "Sora? You've really let yourself go if you're willing to let yourself get beaten by a bunch of weak, little Heartless such as these."
In an instant, Roxas' trademark keyblades were clutched tight in his hands. Oblivion and Oathkeeper, both powerful, both providing balance and power. "I guess I have to bail your butt out of another sticky situation don't I? I returned to you what was rightfully yours, I allowed myself to become one with you, but now? I'm going to show you what I can do!" Dashing towards a group of Soldiers and Wizards, Roxas leaped into them and began a series of wild slashes with both keyblades. Donned in the outfit he wore during his last days, Roxas' movements were fluid and quick, the enemies were having difficulty even keeping up.
Of course, this wasn't to last. When his attack had finished and three Soldiers plus two Wizards returned to the darkness, the final Wizard of the group hit Roxas with a rather powerful Thunder spell. Groaning, Roxas fell to one knee and punched the ground, his keyblades still tightly grasped within his hands. Of course! I just returned, I would be weak for a while. I'll have to be more careful. Rising, he turned and launched himself into a flurry of attacks against the Wizard. When it had been defeated, Roxas bent over and placed his hands upon his knees. Glancing at Sora for a moment, the Nobody grinned. "Just watch Sora. I'll show you how a true keyblade master should fight." Smiling wide, he gave Sora a thumbs up before turning to return to combat. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ XIII The Key of Destiny Quote: Shadows killed: 18 of ??? Soldiers killed: 41 of ???  Sora The heart may be weak,
And sometimes it may even give in.
But I've learned that deep down
There's a light that never goes out.. ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ ═ Sora was indeed getting pretty beaten up, but this would change in a short time. As two incredible, and welcoming things happened. Johnny had healed his wounds, and suddenly felt much better. Hell, better than he ever did before. Than, out of nowhere, his Nobody Roxas has appeared. "Roxas!?!" He had barely said anything before his Nobody jumped in the air and dispatched some heartless. When he was down again, he seemed almost weak. His appearance must not of been easy, that was obvious, but why was he here? "Something big is going down, I can feel it. If Roxas was back. . . does that mean the nobodies are back? Or worse, XIII" He murmurred, glancing at Roxas. He shook the thoughts away, as there was no time to think about it. Sora had a fight to attend to.
Sora turned around, and jumped forward to Roxas, landing by his side. He grinned at him, and got his Keyblade ready. "Don't worry about it Roxas, I feel great now! Why don't you take a nap, you look kind of tired yourself, but ive got a few questions for you." He informed his ally jokingly, but than with a serious demeanor, already having an idea of what his response will be. Three soldiers jumped forward, and tried to claw at Sora and Roxas, but it was in vain, as he simply slashed a wide arc with his Keyblade, cleaving them all in half with one blow. When he turned to face a Large Body, it beat its chest, and charged him. Sora dove to the side, letting it fly bast him. With that, he planted his Keyblade into its back, so that the hilt of the blade stuck out. He wrenched it out, and the Large Body soon disappeared. The Turks :±:■:±:■:±:■:±:■:±: Reno smiled at Nix when she healed him. But his smile soon faded when Nix was struck from behind by a Soldier, leaving a deep gash in her back. Before he could even stand to help her, Leon had healed her. Dammit! Everyone else is doing great and helping each other out. What do I do? I suck! That's what! Grumbling, he managed to get back on his feet. With a sigh, he shoved Nix behind him as gently as he could and held out his Electro-Mag Rod.
It was then that five Wizards floated down and prepared to attack. Groaning, Reno quickly finished off the two Soldiers that had attacked Nix before he turned his attention on the Wizards. They had already begun casting their spells. Aiming to protect Nix, Reno threw out his arms and wished above all else that he could keep her safe as he closed his eyes. When nothing happened, he opened his eyes to see a reflective barrier had bounced back every spell cast at them.
Blinking his eyes a few times, he looked himself over and chuckled. "Okay, since when could I cast Reflect?! This is awesome! You Wizards don't stand a chance now!" Leaving Nix for a moment, the blaze-haired man quickly finished off the five Wizards with his weapon before stopping to catch his breath. "Jeez. Nix, how many more do you think there are? At this rate, I'm starting to wonder if we'll even last to see who's behind all of this." Laughing nervously, Reno readied himself to take on a couple of Large Bodies that had just formed on either side of himself and Nix. This is sooo not good.  XI’m walking alone on a never-ending road.
XIt starts to rain, but I don’t open my umbrella.
XWhose smile is reflected in the puddle?
XIt appears and disappears shortly after.
X▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ Nix felt most of her pain leave when Leon healed her. He should've helped himself, he was in worse shape then she was and could've used it more. Before the woman could move to attack once again Reno came over and pushed her behind him. He defeated the two soldiers that attacked her but then simply stood there. Didn't he see the Wizards starting to cast spells at them?! Why was he making himself a shield? She wasn't worth it. "Reno, don't-!" The spells were reflected back and the red haired man seemed just as surprised as she was. All of this stunned her, leaving her watching as the Turk destroyed the Wizards. When Reno returned he asked her a difficult question. It looked like there was no end in sight..
Nix opened her mouth to try and answer his question but was stopped. A man suddenly appeared behind her, it was Rei. He quickly wrapped an arm across her front and used his free arm to stick a sort of needle into her neck. It was a syringe filled with an ominous black liquid and soon it was injected into her body. In the next instant Rei vanished again to be seen standing next to Kyoki. "No fair! I wanted to play with them!" "Stop your whining.. It was an order from Master. He wants to stir up trouble amongst them before they make it to the Bailey."
Nix's eyes widened in horror when she felt a sensation that was all to familiar with her. It felt like her viens were burning, covered in an inferno that she couldn't put out. Black sparks started jumping all about her body, most of it being centered on the markings on her body. Then her heart starting aching in enormous pain, that was when she knew this was getting very bad. She had to warn them! "Run.. Away.. Get away.. From me.. RUN!" The woman said as she took a few steps back. Thick black fog suddenly surrounded her body as a painful scream could be heard.
When the fog cleared Nix was still standing.. But. Her skin, hair, even her clothing were pitch black; save for her eyes which were now a bright yellow. Her fingers were long and sharp like claws and her face held no emotion but it was obvious she was dangerous. She looked around her, seeing the Heartless and people around her. The changed Nix opened her mouth and made a horrible shrill, an inhuman noise.. All the Heartless fled, sensing that they were outmatched. With the Heartless gone that only left this one last group of prey for Nix. Her eyes focused on the Keyblade wielders, mainly the small group of Sora and Roxas. She leaped forward and slashed out with her claws, aiming to do them great harm or worse.. All of Nix's human emotions were locked away, all human thought. Only the instinct to kill was left for now.

Leon N. Mason XA кιℓℓєʀ In me is a killer in уσυ X══════════════ Leon gasped as another Heartless managed to hit him. he fell to his knees, and coughed, his lungs begging for air. Leon felt the back of his head, and it was wet with blood, and sweat. Mostly sweat, it was like the air was burning like hellfire here, and his attire wasn't helping. He gazed steadily at his Adversaries, and glanced at Nix right on time to catch someone behind her, injecting something into her neck. There was no time to shout a warning, as she slowly starting screaming on her own. Shouting for them to get away. While it frightened Leon a bit at the tone of her voice, he was unfazed and stood up, ready to come to her. She let out a shrill, chilling scream. "NIX!?!" he shouted, immediately dropping his usual goofy demeanor. He stood up, and grimaced. He muttered "Cure," but it made his body so sore now. This magic wore a guy out, and though his wounds were once again healed, there was a whole new problem.
What once was the angel Nix, was now a what appeared to be a demon. His eyes widened, and when she screamed once more, it shook him too the core, and he paled as well. "What. . . the hell is that?" He mumbled, seeing the heartless depart. He buried his fear deep within himself. He was no stranger to fear, but this seemed unearthly. Something entirely new to Leon, and it made him want to run, but two things held him back. The first was the fact that he would never forgive himself if he ran away now. The second was simple. "Redemption. Redemption. REDEMPTION!" He said getting steadily louder. He seemed absolutely crazy, but his was his only motivation. Leon would simply have to help fight it. He would have to lose himself in battle, and maintain his usual cocky attitude with this. it was best not to have any fear. He readied Metal Chocobo. Perhaps they could try and talk her out of it? Johnny Kurusel Mandango "No matter how dark it gets, I know I'm not alone." ┈ ━ ═ ☆ ═ ━ ┈ The ability to even think drained from Johnny when Nix began to yell at them. The next thing he knew, Heartless were fleeing and a shrill, horrifying scream echoed throughout Radiant Garden. The next thing he knew, a humanoid Heartless leaped up and began attacking both Sora and the new guy. Wait, new guy? Who the hell? When the hell? Augh, that doesn't even matter now! As Johnny readied his keyblade to attack the strange Heartless, something struck him as odd.
Taking a few steps forward, he took a closer look at the strange being and put two and two together. Nix's warning, the shrill scream, and now this? "It's Nix! This, umm, thing! It's Nix!" Those weird markings on her face...I guess it makes sense now. Willing his keyblade away, Johnny refused to even fight her. I've hurt you enough for one day Nix. This time, I'm going to try and talk you down. I won't hurt you.
Stepping forward, he reached out his hand and placed it on this new, shadowy Nix's shoulder. "I know you probably can't understand me right now, and I'm certain I'm about to get the crap beat out of me, but that won't stop me. Until you are yourself again Nix, I won't stop fighting to bring you back. Okay?" Taking a deep breath, he gripped her shoulder tighter. "Nix! We are your friends. At least we want to be. And friends don't attack each other in any way. Not verbally, and definitely not physically. If you want to be our friend, you have to snap out of this and think about what you're doing. Friends don't kill each other."
Reaching out his other hand, he patted her on the head and chuckled a bit. "Nix, you're a good person inside. You're just scared, and now I understand why. Don't give into your emotions or your instinct or whatever's driving you right now. Just hear my words and come back to us, okay Nix? Those Guild bastards...from your reaction earlier, I assume they are the ones that hurt you before. Am I right? Heh, not like you could answer right now anyways." Rubbing the back of his head for a moment, Johnny thought carefully before speaking again.
"Nix, fight this. Whatever they did to you before, put it in the PAST. That's where it belongs. All this anger and hate, it's only going to hurt you in the long run. I..." Looking at the ground, Johnny closed his eyes and sighed. "I was so angry at the world for everything I had to go through. I lost my parents one almost right after the other...and I became sick just trying to survive. Depression overcame me, and then anger. Or was it the other way around? I can't recall right now. "
Chuckling nervously, Johnny looked at Nix again and smiled. "Anyways, I realized something. All that anger was only causing me more grief, heartache, and pain. My parents would never have wanted me to change into something I wasn't just because they were taken away from me. They would have wanted me to continue living, to be happy and enjoy life to its fullest. I know this probably isn't the greatest pep talk, but Nix, I can guarantee you that if my parents were here they could give you a real talking to. They'd be able to think of something to help snap you out of this."
Johnny began to laugh again, right before he wrapped his arms around Nix and gave her a big, tight hug. "I don't even know if you can hear me Nix, but we care about you okay? Don't give into the darkness. Isn't that what that weird voice said when it gave us our keyblades? Believe in the light, don't give into the darkness, something or other. There's a powerful light that shines within each of us. With it, and with belief in ourselves, the darkness can never overcome us. We all experienced that weird sensation within our own hearts. That dream, that dive, whatever you want to call it. Well, maybe not all of us. That guy with the markings on his face doesn't have a keyblade so he probably hasn't, but the rest of us have!"
Chuckling again, he turned and looked around at all the people in the area. They were friends, fighting for the same cause. The Heartless had fled, and now it seemed it was time to put Nix back to normal. Smiling at them, he turned to Nix and shrugged. "Honestly Nix? There isn't much more I can say. Believe in us okay? From now on, talk to us. We're here to help you through anything and everything. That I promise. You shouldn't have to suffer alone." Smiling warmly at her, he waited to see what she would do. Inside, he pretty much expected to have a sharp clawed hand through his chest or something of the like.  Lorelei ~ The Guild ~ X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ Lorelei pouted when all of her Large Bodies fled the scene. They looked so grumpy back at home, and when she finally gives them a chance to play, they decide to flee. Pouting, she turned to look at Rei. "That's kind of sad. My babies are fleeing from that thing!" Looking back down into the Borough, she noticed that the Anti-Form Nix began attacking Sora and the little blonde-haired boy. She giggled a bit from the excitement, anxious to see what would happen next.
Sadly, what came next left her feeling a bit stupefied. Looking over at Rei for a moment, Lorelei frowned. "Is this guy insane? After what you did to her, there's no way he can reach her. They should've just run away. Why are they staying?" Looking back down at the scene below, Lorelei listened to everything Johnny was saying. The more she listened, the more she felt like there was something tugging at her heart.
Once he was finally done, tears were streaming down Lorelei's cheeks and she was using Mathis' robes to try and wipe them away. "That was so beautiful! What a great guy." Sobbing, she clinged to Mathis' robes tight and buried her face in them. "She's going to kill him, but still...what a wonderful person. I'd love to just snatch him away and bring him back with us. He'd make a cute little pet." X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎

Mathis Zevron "Heartless are such curious beings..." ☆ ✦ ☾ ✦ ☆ Emerald had arrived and greeted them. Mathis nodded a 'Hello' to her as she walked past them and sat down. He watched the battle and was impressed with some of his wizards. He would have to study them more. He grinned.
He noticed that a person formed next to the one called Sora. The blond was fighting heartless with two keyblades. "Interesting." He muttered. He glanced over at Kyoki. Kyoki really wanted to jump into the fight. He chuckled softly. Mathis watched as some of his wizards tried to cast their magic on the red head and Nix, only the wizards magic bounced of the Reflect shield. He grumbled.
A moment later Rei showed up. He injected something into the silver haired girl. Mathis grinned when Rei appeared back on the roof they were on. "I take it that Akito is almost ready for them?" He watched Nix transform and a wide grin spread across his cheeks. "An Anti-form! Beautiful!" Her shrill made the heartless flee. Mathis tapped his staff on the ground and dismissed his summoning circle. His golden eyes never left Nix. He was studying this form.
One of her friends was giving a soap box speech. Mathis watched him and Nix. "I don't think that will work. I'll be slightly surprised if it does. I'm looking forward to see her fight. I want to see what she can do." He chuckled softly. He felt a tug on his robes. He turned his head to look at Lorelei. She was crying into his robes. He grabbed his robes and pulled them away from her. "You're staining my robe." He looked back at Nix and her friends and let out an irritated sigh. Kana
“The world will never take my heart.” ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ♔ღ ✗ Kana heard a shrill inhuman noise coming from somewhere behind her but she didn’t turn around, figuring it was just another monster being summoned by the Guild to keep them busy. Then something very peculiar happened, all the Heartless were retreating. Did they win? The scores of heartless soon dwindled down to none within what felt like mere moments. Kana let out a relived sigh and willed Silent Twilight away from her hand. She then turned around towards everyone and saw what used to be Nix.
A chill passed through the blonde young woman’s body as she looked at Nix in her anti-form. There was no question it was her, it looked exactly like her but all black except her eyes, which were a haunting shade of yellow. She was frightening. “Nix…What the hell happened to you…” Kana murmured to herself. How did this happen? What was she? Was she a Heartless now? Would they have to kill her? These thoughts rushed through Kana’s mind. It wasn’t like her and the girl were on the best of terms but she wanted to be friends with her, even though she did make her cry moments after meeting her but she did apologize. That had been a start towards a hopefully great friendship.
The Heartless Nix then leaped forward to attack Sora and some blonde boy she’d never seen but before Kana could even wonder who the boy was she was overcome with became concern for Johnny. He bravely was approaching Nix or what used to be her and was even touching her! Kana was surprised the Anti-Nix didn’t tear him to bits. Johnny was either the bravest among them or the craziest.
The red-headed keyblade wielder then gave Nix a speech of sorts, it made Kana’s green eyes well up with tears. He was such a good person, putting himself in harm’s way just in hopes Nix would revert back to her normal state. All for the sake of friendship. Kana lets a few silent tears slid down her cheeks and she walked a little closer to Johnny and Nix, not close enough to touch her but close enough where Nix would hopefully get the message she cared too. “Johnny is right Nix, we’re here for you. No matter what. We want to be your friends…we ARE your friends.” Kana actually surprised herself by saying that. Friends were something she herself hadn’t had in a long time but somewhere in her heart, she knew these people were her friends or at least going to be.
The blonde then stood there before Anti-Nix apprehensively, she smiled at her but was ready to summon Silent Twilight back to her hand at a moment’s notice if something happened. She wouldn’t let Nix hurt her friends or herself. She’d fight her, but only if she had to. Kana silently hoped and prayed it wouldn’t come to that though, she really hoped that reassuring Nix would be enough to make her snap out of this dark state she was in.
