Once Shun was steady Mitsu stayed by his side to help brace him noting how heavily he leaned on her for a moment. To his reply her cheeks began to puff in frustration. "No you will not be fine. You'll end up doing some sort of permanent damage."
She should have known better. Shun liked to hide his pain and did it fairly well. He only showed if he was hurt when hurt badly.
Reaching up to her neck Mitsu pulled the skull pin from her collar for the second time and tucked it safely away. They weren't terribly far from school but she was going to make sure Shun took it easy. She would have to transform back once they got to the dorms from there she would have to help him up the stairs...she would carry him if she had to whether or not she had to fight him about it would be another matter.
Dropping to her hands and knees the shift overtook her swiftly transforming her small form back into that of a large white wolf. Once shifted she knelt down leaning into her reaper slightly to let him know he needed to get on.

"But.."
It was too late. Mitsu already started to shift and was now kneeling down before him. Furrowing his brow, Shun gave in and carefully climbed onto her backside.
"You don't need to do this though.. I can still walk on my own."
That was him being stubborn. And it might have also been a bit of his old habits and training peeking through. To keep on moving unless he really couldn't any further.

Mitsu merely made a grumbly noise in reply, her gaze shifting back toward Shun before she stood to her feet and started walking. She was being stubborn too and wouldn't take no for an answer. It was probably better that Shun had given in otherwise Mitsu would have been creative on how to bring him back. She wouldn't have been able to really hold on to him in any way in her wolf form without hurting him or losing him. He could easily slip out of his jacket if she grabbed hold of it. That left her trying to carrying him princess style in her normal student form. She was certain he would have loved that.
With her longer leg strides it didn't take long before they were back at school, Mitsu stopped at the doors to the reaper dorms kneeling again to allow Shun to dismount before she transformed back. Skull pin back in place Mitsu took up a place at her reaper's side to help brace him as they went up the stairs. "You should really think about taking it easy for a couple of days to allow your leg to heal properly."

And so came the dreaded stairs. Shun couldn't help but stare for a few moments as he braced himself for the struggle upwards. Though he tried not to, he ended up leaning on Mitsu a bit while they ascended.
He also didn't say anything in response until they had reached the fourth floor. There, he took a moment to let the pain in his leg ebb away, then finally spoke.
"Perhaps. But if I get called for something, I'm going to have to do it," he said while shooting her a glance. They were almost to his room. There, he'd speak a little more freely.

Mitsu's additional strength was the only thing that saved her and allowed her to make it up the stairs with Shun without falling. With as much as he was leaning she was very aware of how high the stairs were but braced him up all the same until they were on the fourth floor. There she allowed him to gather his barrings before they headed toward his room.
"B..but you need rest." Mitsu protested. She really didn't know a solution around the problem. Not unless. "I...I can do it. Your job." She had no idea what she would be getting into but if it allowed Shun time to heal she would do it.

Shun stopped in front of his door, freezing as Mitsu offered to take his place.
"No.. You shouldn't," he said quietly before finally unlocking the door so that they could enter. There, he gingerly removed his jacket and made his way to the bed so he could sit down. For a moment, he shifted his shirt to check on his right shoulder, frowning at the large bruise that was now there.
"You also shouldn't have been there earlier... What were you doing out there?"

Mitsu's ears fell back as she followed Shun into his room closing the door behind herself. Taking her shoes off at the door she placed them out of the way before following Shun further in. "But I want to help. I want to keep you as safe as I can."
His second question gained silence, Mitsu looking to the floor guiltily. "I just...wanted to keep you safe." She repeated. "I don't like just sitting back while you get hurt. Not if I can do something to prevent it." And today she had...well...mostly. The bruise along his shoulder looked pretty bad. "I'll get an ice pack." Mitsu said softly moving to the mini refrigerator in the room and opening it to withdraw the ice pack. Walking back over to the bed she offered it to Shun to put on his shoulder. It would at least help keep the swelling down and prevent it from looking any worse.

Letting out a sigh, Shun soon took the ice pack to lightly place over his shoulder.
"I appreciate that, but this really isn't something you should get involved in. You're.. too good of a girl to have a hand in underground things."
The Reaper grimaced a bit as he applied a little more pressure onto his shoulder with the ice. It was slowly beginning to numb a bit from the cold.

With a sigh Mitsu took a seat on the bed next to Shun, her hands in her lap as she began to fidget with her fingers. "I would do it for you..." She said softly.
There was one thing that Shun was neglecting though. It was impossible to shelter her from it forever. At some point a slip up would be made or a job would go bad and Mitsu would be thrown into the heat of things without having a clue. She had this sinking bad feeling about it but wasn't sure if it was from the prospect of things going bad in the future or offering to help him with his dealings in the shadows.

She would. And that was kind of what worried Shun. While these were typically 'low' risk jobs, s**t could still easily happen, as it has been doing for him so far. Grimacing, he stared at the ground some while thinking this over.
"You do realize what sorts of things these are right? Today I just delivered the written schedules of several individuals; each who are some sort of target. Possibly a potential kidnap and ransom type thing or something else completely. I don't know."
It seemed he was giving in here.

"I....I don't." Mitsu admitted, her mind focusing in since it seemed Shun was going to give her more information.
Instantly she paled, her eyes growing wide. "K...kidnapping? F...for people here?" Instantly fear gripped her thinking that her other friends were in danger. Shun surely wouldn't do that to Xiu or Hel or anyone like that....but what about Riyo what of the others she had met that Shun barely knew? Were they safe?
"W..what other things would they be kidnapped for? Are they in danger?" Obviously she wasn't prepared for the news, her resolve quickly changing to something else.

"I don't think there were any Amity students on the list. The other day when I had to tail someone, it was a pair from Morrowbane High," he said while watching for her reaction. As he would have expected, she didn't seem to be taking the information all too well.
"I don't know what the targets' fates are really. Perhaps they are. Perhaps they aren't. I just do what I need to. No questions asked."
Shun had to wonder if she would even be able to think of him as the same after hearing of this.

Her mind was going a mile a minute trying to process this new information. It was a bit much, this was like something from the movies or books. It couldn't be real but she knew Shun would never lie to her. At least it seemed her friends were safe but what about the other students from the other schools? They had friends and lives as well even if she didn't know them.
The harder part was knowing that these missions didn't normally bother Shun. Mitsu knew because he had told her so. Still..."Don't you...ever worry about what will happen to them? Who they might be going to. With all that's been happening..." Mitsu trailed off as she thought about all the incidents with the Hunters and the Boogeymen. There were already so many dangers that awaited them why add one more thing?

"No. Not really," he said before pausing a bit at the mention of what had been going on as of late. Quite frankly, he hadn't really thought anything of the hunters when it came to this. Kidnappings were something fairly uncommon as far as tasks the Family did.
"You have to remember, Mitsu.. before coming to Amity I really didn't do much of 'caring' at all. Of anyone or their fate. I don't or didn't know them so they don't or didn't matter. This is just how it's been."

"I know.....I know." Mitsu tried to nod but she was still struggling with the information, her face contorted into an almost pained expression. "But...you know people now, you know what its like to have friends and someone who cares for you," She placed her hand on his arm gently trying to find her resolve again. She said she would help, do what she had to....but this? This was so much to adjust to.
"What if something like that were to happen to our friends? What if Xiu or Hel or Mot went missing?....What if I went missing? If you don't know why they want these people then there is no saying who they will target." She was trying to be logical, trying not to panic though the idea sent her mind into a frizzy. It was so easy for her to imagine the lives of these people uprooted and changed, their families left to wonder what had happened. If they had been taken, killed, or simply vanished. Her thoughts instantly went to her brother, tears threatening to gather thinking something like this might have been the cause...that this could be the reason he was gone. It was an upsetting and almost painful realization that had Mitsu curling forward a little a hand clutching the fabric of her shirt over her heart.
