Freya WAS in her room, trying on her new dress. It was so slinky and cute and OH GODS WHO WAS AT THE WINDOW-
She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized it was just Endy, and hopped over to give the owl a nuzzle. When she pulled away, she finally let the words sink in, and pulled the top of her dress up so she wouldn't be standing there topless as she talked to her favorite bird in the whole world and also her fiancee. heart heart heart heart heart
"... Who's kissing?" The fact that it was Endy telling her this did not help her mind make any connections. At all.

When Endy flew from her perch, Lark pulled back. Kissing Kettil was wonderful. Lark could kiss him forever... but she wasn't sure if she was ready to take it to the next level. A more intimate kiss... Lark blushed brightly and buried her face against his throat.
"Sorry," she whispered against his skin. "I jest... I been waitin' so long n' I ain't wanna move too fast, Ket."
She cleared her throat and snuggled closer against his chest, too embarrassed to look him in the eye.

He blushed a little but now his other arm moved to wrap around her and just hold her toward him as he just listened to her speak. It was hard to focus when her face was pressed up against his neck like that and feeling her warmth while she was so close to him and...
Kettil took a deep breath and tried to force himself to calm down, "It is alright, Lar. I mean I wasn't intendin' on anythin' raunchy or somethin'," he murmured softly in response to her words.
Endzela made a small happy sound at the attention as a wing spread toward the general direction of Kettil's dorm room, "Kettil and Lark. They're...being strange. Suddenly very affectionate together."

Freya froze.
And she stood there without saying or doing anything, for a full minute, until..
Across the reaper dorms could be heard the most high pitched and horrific of sounds.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"
A flock of birds flew from the trees outside, disturbed by the sound.
Freya picked up the owl in her arms and held it up to her face, eyes wide with surprise. "Are yeh telling me Kettil and Lark are.. they're.." She whispered this last part very quietly. "Are they tupping."

Lark lifted a clenched fist, gently tapping it against Kettil's chest. "I know y'don't. Jest that... I dunno. S'like..." She gave a distressed grunt, shaking her head and just curling closer against him if that was even possible.
It was then that an unholy sound rang throughout the dorms, startling Lark quite suddenly. She leaned back, blinking owlishly at Kettil.
"Y'hear that? ...the Jack..."

He leaned and lightly kissed the top of her head as best as he could and simply said, "Lar, it is alright, that is all that is important right? We can take forever, I don' care. As long as you're with me."
Kettil had been about to say something else but his train of thought broke with that sudden high keening sound that he couldn't quite identify and it made him look around curiously to try and see if he could figure out the source. The only thing he could note was that Endy was no longer in the room but even then he didn't make any connections, "Mmmmaybe someone let a banshee in the dorms?"
Endzela stared at Freya and the Owl let out a small sound of confusion followed up with a soft, "I...don't..think so....?" She let out another quiet hoot sound before she asked, "What is a tupping, my darling wife?"

"Is when yeh bends a ghoul over and yeh-" She'd automatically begun to explain, with hand gestures and possibly some pointing and thrusting, but she realized she was talking to an owl, and blushed slightly. "Well, is when yeh mates. Physically."
She settled the owl down on the windowsill, and turned away, walking slowly to her couch. Now that the initial excitement of the moment had worn off, she flopped on the couch, and really thought about what this meant.
"Kettil and Lark." She breathed. She wasn't surprised, she knew how they felt. She knew, and she was happy for them. No, really, she was.
No. Really, Freya. You were.
Was she trying to convince herself of this?
"Huh." She looked up at the owl, and shrugged, as if it somehow knew the conflict going on in her pretty little head.

Lark drew her lower lip into her mouth and gnawed gently, eyes downcast. A few long moments later she lifted her eyes to meet his, a slight smile toying with her lips. If anyone had told her that she'd be sitting here today she would have called them a liar. It was too good to be true. Everything was perfect and she could ask for nothing more.
It was... kind of terrifying.
Clearing her throat, Lark shifted in an attempt to rise to her feet. They weren't really watching the movie and she was feeling ... restless. She didn't fight the urge to chuckle at Kettil's comment.
"Yeah, probably a banshee," she mumbled quietly. "I ah.. m'kinda tired."

Kettil let out a soft quiet sound in thought as he watched Lark's face go through the changes. Her behavior was starting to make him uneasy about everything though he couldn't state why and instead he lightly stopped her from standing completely and leaned up giving her a kiss upon her cheek, "...You can go nap, Newák'a, as long as you come back to me later."
He had this sudden thought that she was running away from him but why would she do that?
Endzela settled upon the sill and let out a soft, "Oh. That is not what they are doing right now. It is just kissing." The Owl didn't seem to have the grace to be 'embarrassed' or 'shy' about two individuals ... mating.
Spreading her wings she took flight and made her way toward Freya and while she didn't read the exact thoughts she did notice Freya wasn't as happy as she was a few moments prior. Quietly she crawled onto Freya's lap and just stared, "Huh indeed~. Now it will only be the two of us."
If an Owl could grin she probably would be grinning.

Freya looked down at the owl in her lap, and let out a soft giggle, brushing her hands through Endy's feathers affectionately. She cuddled the owl closer to her bosom, and curled her legs up underneath her, so she could curl around Endy. Her head rested back against her couch, and her eyes unfocused, as she stared off into nothing, lost in thought.
"Yup. Just the two of us." A soft, thoughtful voice breathed out, very quietly. Her lips tilted down for just a second in a childish pout, before she buried her head down into the owl in front of her, and happily sought comfort there.

Lark smiled brightly at Kettil placed that kiss against her cheek. More than anything she wanted to stay with him. More than anything she wanted to wrap her arms around his neck and just let instinct take over - but things had moved so fast already, and Lark needed... just... she needed a moment alone. To herself.
"I'll come back to you, Kajika," she whispered, pressing her lips to his once more before she gave a final tug to one of his dreads. There were words on the tip of her tongue, words that she yearned to speak but perhaps ...right now, they were better left unsaid.
Backing away from him, her eyes remained locked on his until she could reach the door. She smiled softly once more, opened the door and paused for the briefest of moments before shaking her head, chuckling quietly as she closed the door behind her.

"You better, Newák'a," he murmured softly against her lips before he returned the kiss lightly. For him he wanted her around all the time it felt like he couldn't think or do anything as long as she was away from him but in truth he could all of those things before Lark and him became 'official' and he would do so after she left the room.
Kettil chuckled as she tugged a dreadlock and then watched her as she exited the room maintaining a bit of eye contact until she left him where he sat with the movie still playing. There was not a lot he could do except stew in his own thoughts and try and digest everything that just happened.
It has been an eventful day so far. Very eventful.
