Nergüi rolled her eyes at Roxie's first comment. "Actually it's be a natural advantage.... and secondly... you don't think a human can beat a fish in swimming. Good job having faith in your own species." She said taking a step away from the pool. Hearing the rest of what Roxie had to say made her want to kick her in the head.... but that could result in her, Nergüi, falling into the pool and she couldn't have that.

"No. It's about me getting sick and tired of hearing you run your mouth Roxie. It's all I hear now and I'm about ready to puke. Especially when I think about some of the things I know about you." She stated coolly. This comment had many of the students twittering; everyone knew Nergüi was the one in the school who somehow had all of the secrets you didn't want out.

"Good. Now let me get my proxy and we'll get started at the deep end." She said. She looked around the pool area and smiled sweetly at Kai. This smile made most of the students think that she was going to ask Kai to swim for her in the race. However Nergüi walked over to the deep end where Gemini was. "So Gem? Want to help a friend out? I need someone to race for me and I can't trust any of the swim team to properly swim on my behalf." She then crouched down close to Gem so only she could hear, "May not seem like it but I am helping you. If everyone here sees how well you can swim, they'll forget all about those rumors.... and since you'll beat Roxie she'll take back everything she said about you..... Plus I heard Kai likes girls who don't put out like Roxie does."

"Tsk tsk Gem. You think I wouldn't take care of that. Beating her insures that she won't talk again. You see we made a bet. If my proxy in the race beats her, she'll take back the rumors and never speak about you again. Plus she'll be my 'underling' and truth be told if I hear another rumor about you I'll assume it was her and make sure something about her is known to the entire school." Nergüi replied, "As long as you avoid her after the race you'll be fine. .... so are you going to leave me hanging? Or am I going to ask Kai to race for me. Don't really want to drag him into this but he's the only one who could possibly beat Roxie besides you.."

((God Corny! You are setting Roxie up for me so nicely! .... Perhaps you could be the one to play her after the race if you key in to what I have planned for her to do. XD ))

"Yeah.... just basically means she'll be joining my group so I can keep an eye on her." Nergüi said turning to Roxie, "Hey! You said I could pick a proxy. And I'm picking Gemini!" Hearing the boy's suggestion she grinned. "Great idea..... Nathan, right?" She flashed him her winning smile, "You can grab some flippers. I've heard how fast those make swimmers. Surely that will even the playing field."

Mr. Wellington walked out of the office and looked at the class. "Looks like you all are fired up about the race. So who's going to be swimming?" He asked. "Roxie and Gemini are going to do a race! Just them!" Another boy yelled out. All talk of the bet had quieted down, no one wanted the teacher to know. "Alright. Gemini, Roxie get in your places and on my mark we'll start this race..... We'll make it a long one as that's your specialty Roxie, say 400 meters?"

"Good luck girls!" Nergüi called out. She then moved off to the side that was clear of swimmers to watch. Surprising enough some of the swim girls, those who hung with Roxie, stood with her. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion. There must be some reason they are standing with her and not apart from her.

"On your mark, get set...... GO!" Mr. Wellington yelled. He then watched with the rest as the race started. Most of the class was hooting and hollering, some cheering and others jeering.

In a hallway that would eventually pass the swim pool, a class was just leaving their room. "Alright boys and girls. Be quiet in the halls as we make our way to the library!" A female teacher called out.

Nergüi cheered when Gemini won with such a lead. "Great job Gemini!" She called moving a little closer to the edge. However she had to move closer as the swim girls crowded her.

"Great race girls!" Mr. Wellington called out, "I need everyone to gather at the shallow end of the pool. I have a few announcements to make and then we'll get out and get changed. We'll wait out the remainder of class in the gym. Everyone slowly began making their way to the shallow end, all congratulating Gemini on her victory.

Steadily moving closer to the pool the class heading for the library would soon be passing it. "Yo smart guy!" A boy called out to the tailed boy. "What Dillon?" Conan asked pausing until his classmate caught up. They were soon at the end of the group. They began chatting about the assignment and how to go about it.

Nergüi frowned when Roxie came over and her goons where still surrounding her. "So what... it was a deal and completely valid! Can't help it you didn't think to say that you wanted to pick my proxy or limit who I could pick." She fiercely whispered, "And you best keep your word you little slut. I know what you've been doing at those parties after the swim meets. Just because you can't get Kai doesn't mean you need to sleep with every guy who throws himself at you."

She was then propelled towards the pool. "HEY!" She called out. Her call was ignored as suddenly a loud whoop when up on the other end of the pool drowning her out. She fell in with a splash and quickly sunk to the bottom. She naturally flailed around and tried to use the strokes Gemini had taught her.... but her hooves and head weighed too much and her legs wouldn't kick properly for the strokes to work. Soon she was out of breath and just floating at the bottom not moving.

It was a good thing Conan had paused for his classmate. For when Nergüi called out and then a splash followed, Conan was just walking passed the closed pool door. His hearing was so good that he could easily hear through the crack on the bottom and of course it helped that the deep end of the pool was close to the door.

Curious about hearing Nergüi call out he peeked through the little glass window. "Hey wait up.... take my things." He said quickly shoving his stuff to his classmate. He was then rushing through the door taking his hat and coat/mantle off. Then he was running to the pool and diving in. He swam to the bottom of the pool and grabbed the lifeless Nergüi. He then began swimming to the top fighting for every inch as Nergüi's dead weight tried to drag him down. He reached the surface as quickly as possible and was trying to get her on the ground.

Mr. Wellington gave a few announcements to the class. "Alright now you all can go get changed...." He paused hearing a door open, "Yes young man? Can I ..... Hey! There's no running by the pool! HEY! Get out of the pool!" He was soon quickly striding (not running) to the deep end. He then saw the lifeless form of Nergüi and began running. When Conan broke through he was there to pull her out of the water and begin CPR.

Mr. Wellington was starting to lost hope of reviving Nergüi. Finally she began to sputter and cough up water. He moved her to her side to help get the water out and not choke her. "Nergüi what happened? Why did you jump into..." He paused as he heard Gemini yell out and the sharp sound of a slap. He looked over to the shallow end and saw Roxie, Roxie's group, and Gemini all over there. It seemed something had made Gemini mad while Roxie's group was looking guilty.

Seeing Roxie walk away snapped him into action. "Kai I need you to go to the principle's office now. I don't care that you are dripping wet. Interrupt her from whatever and tell her what happened. Lindsey I need you to get Roxie and tell her to get back in here. No one is allowed to leave until we find out what happened." Kai quickly looked from Nergüi and Gemini a concerned look on his face. But he listened to the teacher and rushed to the principle's office. Lindsey rushed to the locker room and told Roxie she needed to come back to the pool, Mr. Wellington said so.

Nergüi was lost to the darkness but feeling pain in her lungs and chest brought her back. Soon she was sputtering and coughing up water. She was too caught up in the pain, the burning pain of her lungs, to really hear anything being said. Finally when Conan put his face in hers did she focus on anything. "C-conan?" She croaked, "Why so wet?" That received a relived laugh. "What happened? ..... Roxie. Roxie pushed me in." Tears welled up and began to fall down, "She knew I couldn't swim. Everyone in class knew. Ryan blurted it out today and so did Mr. Wellington last Friday." She was soon sobbing and shuddering. It received many sounds of shock and support from the regular kids and the cheerleaders respectively.

Conan watched anxiously as Mr. Wellington perform CPR. Finally when Nergüi came to he made sure the crowd stayed back so she could breath. When she stopped coughing up water he put his face in front of hers. When she asked about him being wet he laughed a little, relived that she was okay enough to ask that. "I'm wet cause I dove in after you. I was passing by when I heard you call out. What happened?" He ignored what was happening at the shallow end as if he paid attention he may have attacked Roxie and her friends. Course after hearing what she said he was more likely to attack Roxie next time he saw her.

Making sure Mr. Wellington heard what Nergüi said he stood up and got his hat, coat, and mantle. He then returned to Nergüi and wrapped her up in his coat, picking her up after he was done with that. "I'm taking her to the nurse's office. She's need to looked over more than giving her statement again. The principle can talk to her there." He then was walking out of the room heading for the nurse's office. This act earned him many sighs from the girls as they wished someone would care for them like that (and would probably be featured in many fantasies).... and also many looks from the classes he passed.
