Marcus grinned at Gale. "Admit it Gale, you do want to make her swoon so why not at least read up on it? Everybody seems to be doing it. Robert even read us his secret gay fantasy." The life hunter got a grin. "No need to beat the guy up, just read him some choice exerts. Really it's not that big a deal guys." Marcus's ******** had gone at this point.

Jordan's words though-
"Where would we lea- Oh. OHHHHHH." Some part of Marcus got much larger as Jordan spoke. "But who drops it off?"

Robert was carrying Jerry off to beat the s**t out of him when Jordan stopped them, and brought up a point that made Robert flush with embarrassment. He dropped Jerry roughly and put his hands above his head. "Sorry, boss." He mumbled, genuinely guilty. "No problems here, boss."

Jordan had the power to temporarily diffuse Robert, but that did not stop him from hating Jerry right now. And he did. He really did.

He turned and sat back down, brooding darkly, while shoving his face back into a random book. And damn if it wasn't another male couple snuggling on the cover that he hadn't looked at when he picked it up - his eyes were too busy glaring daggers at Jerry.

Jerry took a moment to regain his composure once he managed to scramble back to his feet, his face going red again as he turned to Jordan frantically, a look of desperation on his face, although his voice had dropped down into an anxious whisper "Of... of course I do! It's... it's smut! I don't even know how that GOT here what if they're.. they're... testing us or something!" It had nothing to do with who was doing what with who within the books... just that it was happening *at all*.

Bix, while the tension peaked and died, had snuck around behind Gale when he wasn't looking. He peeked over his friend's shoulder with a smirk and began to read silently. He then laughed right in Gale's ear (not loud but surprising)

"Wow they used pulsate, pound, paralyze and p***s all in one sentence."

Jordan nodded to Robert, his glare notching down to I-know-you're-pissed-but-seriously-dude; then turned back to Jerry, prodding him in the chest with a finger. "I cannot - will not - ******** stop Robert from beating you if you're going to be a ******** idiot and say stupid s**t that half a moment's thought would tell you is gonna piss him off," he snapped. "Regardless of insults, prejudices, what-have-you, I am getting pretty damn tired of mediating when thinking before engaging mouth would keep most of these fights from even happening. On both your parts," he added, and looked back to Robert. "Pattern's clear. Jerry says something stupid he doesn't mean, you get pissed and quit thinking entirely."

He pushed Jerry lightly, then stalked back out into the hall and flattened his palm against the opposite wall, his back to the whole group as he hauled his emotions back under control.

Wilson stared at Bix. "What really?" He couldn't stop himself from walking over and leaning over Gale's shoulder. His expression became a mixture of horrified shock and wonder.

Sorry, Jordan.

Jerry opened his mouth, about to once again say something stupid, but at least this time he thought better of it. Eyes narrowed at Robert and his box of smut, he shifted from foot to foot before finally stumbling after the retreating Jordan, the color leaving his face.

"Jordan... Are you alright? I didn't mean to make a bigger mess of things than the Yeti... ahahaha... um." The laugh was forced, and died quickly as he fidgeted nearby, making sure Jordan had what space he needed to gather himself. "I... I'm just... sensitive about... about certain things and... and I don't think Robert-" He bit his lip, shaking his head. Pointing fingers wasn't going to make his friend any less stressed.

"It's just words. There aren't even any pictures," Harrison said, sounding dismissive at best. Boss seemed pretty upset about it, and stormed off in a huff, but Jerry and Robert both took notice when he was talking.

Something occurred to him, and Harrison looked uncomfortable.

"It's not uh, I mean it's not against Jerry's religion or anything, you think?" He leaned over to ask Bix, "Trashy books?"

Gale was only half paying attention to what was going on around him, caught up in the Tropical Heat book that Robert had tossed him - though he did look up and frown, pressing his lips together in irritation. Jordan was a friend - or rather, he liked to think of the older boy as a friend - so to see him this angry was something that upset him.

Then he proceeded to scowl heavily at Marcus.

"I am not reading to make anybody swoon," he said stubbornly, and then turned back to the book, completely negating what he had just said. And then he proceeded to stare intensely into the pages, so caught up in the reading (and being slightly horrified by it) that he didn't realize Bix had come up behind him.

At least, not until the other hunter actually spoke, Wilson coming over beside him while both of them peered over Gale's shoulder interestedly. Gale jumped nearly a foot in the air, both thoroughly startled and embarrassed.

"I - I wasn't reading!" he said hastily, snapping the book shut quickly. "I was - er - just - that is to say, I was - "

He looked around, desperate for a distraction, but all he saw was Jordan leaving the room, and Gale's eyes flickered at the other's back. He wanted to get up and go talk to him (and it would give him an excuse to leave), but Jerry had already gone after him, and Gale slumped lower against the wall, hiding his face behind the book, which he had reopened - and was now holding upside-down.

"I wasn't doing anything," he mumbled, face crimson.

"I dunno." Bix turned to Harrison with a shrug. He dropped his voice so that he wasn't involving himself in Jerry, Robert and Jordan's issues. He also didn't want Jerry to hear him and say anything.

"I just don't wanna be involved. Probably just a prude." Were trashy books against Jewish rhetoric? The albino hunter plopped his butt down near the box. Looks like he was planning on taking permanent residence.

"St. Elmo's Fire... oh s**t he's a preist. SCANDALOUS!" He mocked a valley girl voice.

Dakota watched the Sun hunter gain control over the two boys before coking his head. Guy had Kahona's for sure, especially when Robert was involved. After the small spat between them, ending with Jordan being the one stalking off, Dakota only had to shrug before joining Bix on the ground.

He didn't know the sun hunter well enough to assume he could say something, and in truth, it was probably for the best.

"With his girlfriend?" Dakota raised an eyebrow again before plopping down next to Bix, "Seriously dude, what the hell are you picking up?" He grinned ear to ear. Also, he wasn't too entirely sure he wanted to ditch the novels. "Some of these look like collector editions man, who's stash was this!??!" Dakota peered over at Marcus, "What do you mean making a drop?" Drop it where...or more importantly...to whom?

Jordan sighed and turned around, crossing his arms defensively without really thinking about it. "Jerry. I know you're sensitive, but please, could you try to remember that others might be sensitive as well? Lashing out to deflect the conversation from things that might hit sore spots isn't going to make things any better. Usually makes it worse. I - dammit, Jerry." He was tired, and the sudden rage had come as a surprise to him; a sore spot he hadn't yet recognized had been prodded and prodded hard, and here he was, having just done the exact same thing he'd just advised against. Lovely.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, fending off the incipient headache. "Provoking someone by implying they have the gay might offend more than one person. Okay? Personal stakes in the matter and all that." He dropped his hand and looked at Jerry, feeling the exhaustion of bizarre, outwardly-inflicted emotional states and the physical labor of the day's work all at once. Jerry was his friend, and that was it, and that wasn't going to change, and it was about damn time he accepted that and got over it.

But it'd really, really help if Jerry quit antagonizing his best friend.

The man's brows furrowed, a hurt expression on his face edged in the absolutely baffled. "I... I didn't mean... I mean I didn't insinuate anything except... We're just supposed to be cleaning and..." He deflated, rubbing his own forehead as he tried to calm himself down as well. "If... if you like p-p-p-pornography then... I mean... I j-just don't... my Gram always- I mean, it's not like I didn't WANT- but I mean, you're raised a certain way and..." Oh, hell.

Roar was, unfortunately, happy to let Jerry dig his own grave. Who's great idea was it to stop the big guy from breaking your nose?

Marcus sighed and rolled his eyes. Well done dipshits. Well done. Sighing, Poor Jordan really didn't deserve to play babysitter. Gale got thumbs up "You'll make her swoon Gale. I have faith in you." He did, for all his teasing her really did have faith that Gale would win her heart, age gap or no.

Going out into the Hall, Marcus leaned next to Jordan. "So, what was that about dropping the box off. Because as much as I like the idea, I really don't want to be at the business end of Circe." Quitely he whispered. "And to be honest, let them duke it out. With them, I am not sure words will be enough to sway them sadly." He offered a wary smile. "Maybe we can get them to bond by making the drop?"

Jordan smiled wryly; Jerry, as usual, had completely missed the sidewise implication. "Taking a break to laugh at ridiculously over-the-top bad romance novels - well, it's something to break the tension. And, well. Most of us aren't going to be opposed to porn. You know? Personal life choices. You don't have to have anything to do with it, but telling someone that their - uh - choices in entertainment are wrong and bad and awful really isn't gonna go over well. See what I mean?" And maybe it was a good thing after all that Jerry missed things, because yeah, explaining things all the time would've driven Jordan nuts after a while.

He smirked evilly at Marcus's suggestion. "You know, I think that's an excellent thought. I'm sure the two of them can manage to be sufficiently stealthy to perform the delivery without attracting too much attention. Jerry," and he smiled sweetly at his friend, "I could really use your help ... "
