She caught Deryk's wave last minute and was even more delayed when reacting to Gale's pleasantries. There was a lot of commotion going on now that the room was filled with trainee's, a lot of conversations to distract herself with while they all waited for further instructions.. However, despite how late her greeting may have been, the woman lifted her hand and shook it gently toward both of the boys before sliding them behind her back.
There was too much commotion going on for her to move around just yet, but luckily from where she stood the trainee was able to get a perfect visual of who one of the older hunters was calling 'fresh meat.' Several of the others seemed interested, heads swiveling to meet with the man she had seen maybe.. what.. once before?
.. And wasn't he one of the hatchlings?
Minnie shrugged her shoulders further out of her coat and pressed against the wall more heavily than before. Washington, aye? Where had he been hiding all of this time?

Petra managed to look up at Robert and Wash when she heard her name, her eyebrows lifting a little although her lids stayed firmly half-mast, interested by a little too out of it to really truly show it. Spotting where the two of them stood, Robert's arm on the poor boy's shoulder, seeing the pair of them and immediately knowing exactly what was going on.
"It never fails, every guy -- I make such good friends this way," she commented half to Jordan, waggling her fingers at Wash with a tired grimace-smile before looking over at the sun hunter after a second, "Do you want him?"

Jerry had dozed off in his chair. Up until he heard Robert's ever-present boisterous voice ripping through the already chattery room. Blinking into coherency, he spotted the 'fresh meat' in question, eyes widening as he suddenly tripped over his his chair to leap to his feet, scooting down a few rows to pop up behind him and his friends. "HELLO! I DON'T THINK WE'VE MET I'M JERRY Do you sing??" Ravvlet And anyone else around him

"I uh, right-" Wash shook his head and started to raise his hand, to show him his ring, belatedly realizing it was gone. Where it used to be was a quickly fading patch of lighter color.
"Thanks. I think I'll keep my fingers, if s'all the same to you." He laughed uncertainly, a deep bass that was quickly interrupted. He glanced at Jerry with some degree of surprise.
"No, man, I don't think we have-" he stopped to consider the question, frowning slightly. "Yeah, as a matter o'fact I do. I just, you know, didn't think it'd be somethin' to put on my resume, right?" He grinned. "I mean, it doesn't seem like you have a gospel choir or... No, nothing like that." He sighed suddenly. That HAD been an odd adjustment. Sunday mornings felt so... empty.

"But Boooosssss," Robert began to whine, but as soon as Wash admitted to Jerry that he liked to sing, Robert's expression changed to complete and utter pity.
"Ugh. Good luck, man." Robert murmured under his breath, patting his back firmly before picking up a seat, and shoving it in the small space between Jordan and Petra, where a seat wasn't meant to be. He wedged himself so tight between the two, that he started to look a little ridiculous.

Jerry's eyes widened in wonderment, drawing in a slow gasp of amazement, his grip on Wash's shoulder suddenly tightening before he dragged him (somehow, the man was easily twice his size at least horizontally) to a chair, "As a matter of fact! I've been trying to start a choir! It's not er- spiritual or anything unless you want it to be, I'm open minded and all music is music if you have any requests or anything we'd be lucky to have a baritone like you!! I can just barely hit those notes but I'm definitely a more comfortable tenor and you'd be amazed how many people are afraid to just let it out it's a real therapeutic thing you know even just having people watch you're ok with people watching right I've only got a few instruments but it's more than before the holidays! Do you play the harmonica we only have one it's in the key of C but we can make it work I'm sure!"

It was as if Marcus had the ability to summon the former boxer as Leon went to stroll into the room. Half awake from the sudden text interrupting his normally scheduled resting time. So much time was spent lifting building supplies, building frames and practically raising rooms, it was a week of labor. it was only fitting that a day of missions was to follow. "o-oh." came the simple statement from the athlete, making a small grunt and averted his eyes from the parkour swordsman. He was never going to let Marcus near band-aids again. the b*****d can bleed out for all he cared. "How's everyone doing?" he said quickly, trying to regain his composure and wondering if he should tell Cass about what happened. But he settled on putting the whiny Robert in a headlock. "What are you trying to do, ballerina Robert?"

Aleister looked tried as he finally managed to get into the room and slip into a chair yawning. The biggest problem was that he was still slightly hyper from the joy overload despite how long it'd been since the whole thing. He was jumping from the nearest shadow moving wrong.
<You really should try to calm down before you pass out from exhaustion. There's nothing that's going to get on the island that I can't take care of.>
Pookie had been trying to talk him down the whole time and sighed as Aleister looked hoping the mission was going to be an easier one. Something that preferably did not involve ninjas and crazy trees.

"Which one?" Jordan asked Petra dryly.
"You could let her fend off the multitudes herself," he suggested to Robert. "Or let the nice sparkly ring do it for you."
Wash had made the mistake of admitting he could sing. Jordan shot him a sympathetic look. It was like watching a ravenous swarm of piranhas closing in on a hapless wader, really.

"I-"
"Well yes I-"
"Yes it's definitely thera-"
"Harmonica? No, can't say that I have..." he finished weakly. Wash could, well. He could whistle. Not that he was going to admit that now. He was also defintely not going to put on overalls and start singing zippity doo-dah. He glanced wildly over to Robert but he seemed otherwise occupied. Good luck indeed.
Someone's making friends, Sally quipped, sensing her partner's dismay. What's that saying? Don't look a gift hellhorse in the mouth.
He gulped.

Wilson stared at Molly as he chewed thoughtfully. He still didn’t understand why she would bring along snacks with her, but okay. If that meant he could ask her for more food in future situations he wasn’t going to complain. “Okay then. Thanks!” He watched the woman search around her coat before finally pulling out a wafer bar from her sleeves. Wilson stopped chewing and stared at the wafer for a longgg time before giving Tedan a grim look. Wilson Hopkins was jealous.
He heard Ryan kicking Dakota’s chair and he twisted around, grinning once he realized who it was. “Dakota, hey! How’ve you been?” Wilson grinned before taking another bite out of the breakfast bar.
“Ah, yeah. Sudden.” He nodded understandingly at Eva. “I was sleeping, actually.” Wilson smiled sheepishly. “All the cleaning and building has gotten me tired.”
A yell startled him and he whipped around to curiously stare at Wash. Another tilt of his head as he silently ate his food and watched from afar. He glanced at Molly and Tedan. “Is he new?” he asked, jerking a thumb at Wash.

"I'LL ******** KILL YOU MAN," Robert yelped out as Leon headlocked him, and he jumped out of his chair to try and fight the man off, using as many dirty and unsavory moves as possible. Face punching, groin kicking, biting, Robert was not against fighting dirty.

"The big one with the ring," she replied, amused by Jordan's dryness. The moon trainee did, however, sigh a little at his suggestion to her fiance, reaching up to rub her temple a little before resting her cheek on her fist again. "I really have no idea where he got this idea that anyone is after me but him. And Candace, but that's... you know what, nevermind."
Looking up at Robert as he tried to slide in between she and Jordan, Petra shifted a little to give him room, making a little face at him before deciding she was too tired to even pretend to scold him. She really should have known better, trying to sit next to Jordan -- it was like a sign that said "You should claim what is yours, someone is trying to take it from you."
It was like Jordan was Robert's 'other fiance.'

He couldn't ever give them a little more warning. Never ever. She had fifteen minutes to get to that room...damnit. Groaning unhappily, Candace got up out of bed; she was exhausted from being dumped hours and hours of cleaning duty. She didn't even ******** do anything, but at least they'd given her a little bit of recovery time. If only enough that when they realized she could function again she was good to get out of bed. Assholes.
She was sighing and straightening her coat out as she walked in, looking around and spotting Caelius sitting as pleasantly as ever at the head of the large table. Ah, what a delight. That man! Always so cheerful! So optimistic! He was such a great man to have around when one needed something happy ******** that he could still go die in a burning inferno. The next thing she saw--or rather, heard--was Jerry rambling on and on and on and on. About music. Candace glanced to the man who had his complete attention, chuckling a bit. She'd never seen him before but oh man, Jerry was excited. She was happy to see him making friends.
Candace quietly snuck up behind Jerry and gave him a surprise kiss on his cheek, sitting down in the open chair beside the man. "Hey, sweetie. Who's your new friend?" She asked cheerfully, scooting closer draping her arms over his shoulders from behind, resting her head on them. She gave Wash a little wave. "Hi~. You alright? You look...overwhelmed."
Of course a second later Robert was attacking Leon...she sighed and rolled her eyes, quietly mouthing 'idiot'.

"That's ok, that's fine!" Jerry babbled, and it seemed like he was going to just keep going until Candace suddenly attacked from behind. He gave a sudden, surprised noise as though expecting violence- but nope, just a kiss to his scar-marred cheek. "Oh! Candy-baby you gave me such a fright! This is WASH! He's new and guess what-" He breathed in excitement, his hand reaching to squeeze her's if only to illustrate his excitement. "He sings!"
Robert and Leon's scrambling nearby didn't seem to phase him. Same-old, same-old. It really was nice seeing the place return to normality.
