In thirty minutes…Hel grew bored. Fast. So thus she ended up rolling around on the floor with Riyo’s cats.
FINALLY, she heard the door to the bathroom start to open and peered up from her spot on the floor, blinking, wide eyed, before her face erupted into a wide grin. “Ah, Riyo! You are very stunning indeed! You almost look like a completely different ghoul!” The valkyrie cheered, obviously very impressed as well. “Ah, hey! Stop it with that cowardly posture! Remember friend, cool, collected, calm, and confident elegance!”

Thirty minutes....was a really long time. Mitsu probably would have found herself bored and on the floor along side Hel and Xiu but the problem was all the cats. While she was doing well to compose herself in the feline company the overwhelming numbers had her fidgeting nervously. They were friendly enough, strolling up to rub against Mitsu's leg affectionately and surprisingly she didn't flinch away. It was just hard to relax when she knew each kitty was equipped with four pointy weapons and there were a multitude of kitties which meant many many ways of pain.
Her expression softened though when she saw Riyo emerge, excited to see the whole outfit with the hair. "You look lovely, Riyo." She hoped Riyo would take Hel's advice. While Riyo looked striking she ...looked a lot like Mitsu with all these cats. Meek and scared and that was no way to win.

Whore.
The haunting voice echoed through her mind. It repeated over and over again as if the record player in her brain had a stuck needle. It looked like... For a moment, Riyo might break down and cry right where she weakly stood, but something caught her ears. Something from the real world. From the present.
You look so pretty!
Very stunning indeed! You almost look like a completely different ghoul!
You look lovely, Riyo.
Their words were like gentle kisses and bandages on a wound that had been open for a long time. No, perhaps they weren't the cure. This wasn't something that could just be whisked away by a couple of heartfelt words. But with the attention brought to the cut she'd hidden from the world, it could finally start to heal.
Her eyes scanned over the three faces. So happy to see her, so unlike years past. For whatever reason, these people appreciated Riyo, and for whatever reason, she was almost certain they weren't lying to make her feel better.
Those eyes that so carefully glanced over them started to tear up, her face looking as if it would burst out into a crying fit.
but she didn't. Instead, for the first time in thirteen long years, Riyo stood up straight in a dress. Her fists were clenched, and her hands were still shaking, but she kept standing tall. "Thank you.." She started with a small smile. "Thank you guys so much." Perhaps this is what it was to have a friend.
"I... Couldn't have gotten this far without all of you supporting me. I realize that now." It was a rare moment when Riyo was modest and appreciative. "Now, if you don't mind." She started, hands reaching to tug the slits of the dress down (though it didn't do much for her). "I need to have a nervous breakdown, panic over how these slits might end up showing a glimpse of my panties if I don't sit down just right, get over both those things, figure out how I'm going to find the courage to flirt with some random boil, and somehow manage to cram a couple hours of sleep into this mess." Well, at the very least she had her priorities straight. And it looked like the feline was on the right track to where she needed to be.
"I think... No... I'm sure I can win this bet now."
... no she wasn't, but it was better than telling them all that effort was for nothing.

Xiu fell silent as she regarded the bakeneko, her eyes drawn up to the other ghoul's red ones. Was Riyo...? Her expression softened, the corners of her lips pulling upwards in a light smile as they were thanked. However, when Riyo began to list off all of the things that she needed to do now (Xiu couldn't help but laugh a little sheepishly about the bit about the slits), the baku's lips spread into a wider grin. At the proclamation that their friend was ready to win this bet, Xiu threw both of her arms up in the air like an overly-excited child.
"Yay, that's the spirit! You can do it, Riyo!" Without hesitating, she moved up to the ghoul and threw her arms around her waist. "And you're our friend, Riyo! Anytime you need help, we'd be happy to do what we can!" With a grin, she looked over at Hel and Mitsu, her tail swishing behind her.
Before they left Riyo to do what she needed to do...group hug time? The baku just really liked hugs, okay? Plus, after seeing that genuinely appreciative look on the bakeneko's face...well.

Hel pushed herself up to her feet and rested her hands on her hips as she admired Riyo, smiling widely as the ghoul thanked them.
Luckily, the ghoul understood at this moment that it was indeed a moment to leave the cat demoness alone. Everyone needed some time to compose themselves, and that was something to respect. The ghoul gave the cat demoness a hearty round of applause though regardless. “Knock ‘em alive, friend, ya? I want to hear all the details later!” Hel started towards the door, waving at Xiu and Mitsu. “Come along you two! I will treat you to milkshakes, okay?” That Hel and her milkshakes. She was out the door after that offer though regardless.

"It will be alright, Riyo. You look wonderful! Just remember we're here for you." She echoed Xiu's words hoping that if things got to heated she would seek them out again. Mitsu was willing to help out if needed and she would do what she could.
At the mention of milkshakes though Mitsu's ears perked. Riyo wanted them to go and there was no other thing more suited to drawing Mitsu out of the room. A treat. "Milkshake?" The lycan seemed dreamy eyed as she stood waving one last goodbye to the feline demoness before she took her leave after the Valkyrie. She was good at following commands at the promise of food. Oh Mitsu.
