"That is one thing I don't care about. I just need to be with you." He removed his wing to look at her. "It will be ok Lace." He tried to calm her down. He sat up and pulled her into him. "I'm not letting go. I don't care if you fight me. I won't. Let. Go." He loved her too much. Yes his heart was still broken, but he didn't care. As long as she was ok. "If you still want to go then I understand... But know I will always be watching. I will be there for you." He squeezed her gently. "I just need you to be happy."

Lace was about to protest, but then he pulled her close. Her eyes widemed, mouth opening and then closing as she was unable to respond. Her heart hammered, head resting on his shoulder.
"B-But....." Selfish happiness fluttered across her heart, but she struggled against it. How could she stay knowing she was the reason for... For everything? How could she inflict this on him when...
What was she going to do?

"But nothing, Lace. Haven't I already promised that I would be with you?" He just held on to her. He didn't know what else to say. He just wanted her with him. "Lace.. please. Please stay with me. We can go farther away were he can never find us." This was his fault too. Getting comfortable close to where he was.

With this she was rendered speechless, finally. How could she protest this man? How could she just give up? She had tried and he followed, how long would he keep doing so? Would he always follow her? Would it hurt the day he didn't? Did it even matter anymore?
Her eyes fluttered closed, giving up on her attempt to fight the other off. She didn't have to say anything, the fact she stayed put was enough. Still, she was disappointed in herself in being unable to truly free him of her, but she was being selfish. She was being selfish and for once she decided that, if he was allowing it then it was okay. Right?

"Let's get you somewhere warmer." He gave her a gentle smile and carefully lifted her onto his back. He didn't care that his muscles were sore. He didn't care that she was still wet and cold against his back. He only cared that she was ok. He found a spot that was thick with trees, save a space for a small fire.
Using what was there of her flames, Gimpi started a fire. He set her close to it, after carefully removing her clothes so they could dry. After they were taken care of he curled up tight around her. "After we rest we will find somewhere more permanent to stay," He also had to tell her about the BCR he swiped. He was sure Lace would be excited to raise it.

She allowed him to lift him, perhaps too tired to resist even if she wanted to. She watched as he took her to the area of trees, grunting briefly when he set her down and closing her eyes once more, tail flicking across her form quietly. She almost spoke, but was content where she was and how she was, deciding to simply open soft eyes to watch him, glancing at the fire created from her own flames.
At the mention of a new home she nodded. She heard the tinkling of metal, ear twitching. What was that? She shrugged it off, though, deciding it might be some trinket Gimpi had picked up earlier.
