Seeing the other attack the robot and was having fun fighting with her division. Tori got ready for another attack at it with Aklin excitement grew and his want for her to hit it more.
Well this time she hit it but only grazed it as she once more hit the robot in the legs. Aklin snorted and she got the feeling that she should have hit harder and growled softly to herself for the weak hit.

She watched as Robert bashed continuously at one particular point, cracking it. The robot in general seemed to be breaking down, albeit slowly; pieces of it were falling onto the ground, and Reine kept on her toes, avoiding them; she didn't relish the thought of having bits of shrapnel or glass lodged in her arm or face.
Following his lead, Reine slashed out at the robot again, and Alynthe smashed through the glass. Much more effective than merely scoring the metal. The robot flailed and shook her off, sending more shards of glass flying. One left a line of blood trickling down her cheek, and by reflex the girl raised a sleeve to the wound, attempting to staunch the flow.
Huh... in a mere few attacks the robot had managed to break Alynthe's FEAR shield. The apophis was hissing at her, warning her to be careful, but Reine raised the swordbreaker again, preparing for another hit. Death didn't seem that close when all you had was a scratch on your cheek.

By the time Before arrived at the Life Labs, he was out of breath from having run around EVERYWHERE before managing to narrow down their location thanks to Leon's reply. He took a deep breath, raised his head, and saw just what it was attacking the Lifers. DDDDDDDDDDDDDD8!??!?! Holy. ********. s**t. "You gotta be shitting me," he panted, gripping Vanna in dismay. When it was clear that the thing was real and that he should be doing something about it, Before charged for the robot and slammed Vanna's broadside against the thing. The impact jostled pieces of metal loose from the robot and one particularly large piece fell on top of Before's head.
Okay. ********. Ow! That really hurt >n< He spotted Tori and ran to her, teal eyes wide with concern as he asked, "Story! Story! You okay!?" DDDDDDDDDDDDDD8

Cass was on Before's heels (actually, she'd just be-lined to the labs) when he'd busted in on the scene. "Hey guys! Is every- HOLY CRAP!" Cass looked at the creature that was attacking the group assemble with wide eyes. Wooaaahhhh!! She was hit by a piece of flying Robot-debris, rolling back with it like a rag doll, but popping up again, recovering like a boss.
She immediately fired upon it when she'd recovered her stance, before stepping back, brows furrowing together. "s**t, son! We didn't get a monster!" she almost seemed to pout over the fact that Mist Division didn't get attacked by anything of their own. Not that she didn't mind running to find her some danger to lay fire upon.
Pew pew.
"Do you guys know where it came from??" she asked, baffled that..at least four of these critters had popped up out of apparently nowhere on their island.

As Before headed to see how Tori was doing, Cass arrived and fired on the robot. I believe this is an opportunity you must not let pass! Vanna suggested as a face wrought from metal grinned happily in the back of the former Lifer's mind. Before looked at the machine and supposed that his partner was right. Huh. The robot was looking unstable.
Maybe all it needs is the right push? So like he'd done earlier, Before swung his wheel at the robot. Apparently the impact was enough to make the thing spin and topple towards Before. With a panicked squeal, he promptly attempted to GFTO DDDDDDDDDDDDD8!!!!!! Which he did slightly successfully as there were still parts of the machine that conked him hard on the back. Guh, that was totes gonna leave a bruise...
"H-how's everyone? N-no fatalities, r-right?" he groaned, trying to rub the spot that was juuuuuuuuust out of reach.

Thankfully the Boxer has enough strength to wait it out till the cavalry rushed in, being Before and Cass and all the bashing and pew pew pew's kicked in and watched as the robot began to cease its movement.
After it nearly fell on before. that was the hazard when it came to close range combat, leon knew it well too. Right now however, all he wanted to do was catch his breath from his spot on the floor. "I don't think anyone's dead." he said after a few deep breaths and willed Nid back to its unsummoned form. "Least i hope not, everyone ok?" he called out into the air, booming voice like a megaphone. "As for where it came from, I don't know. It just...... came out from somewhere and assaulted the doors." he said blandly and told them about the urgent warning from earlier.
"Maybe we should go to the video surveillance room and see if they have footage on where it came from?" he asked Cass and Before as he tried to stand on shaky legs and move closer to the duo that saved his hide.
Right now, answers needed to be found on what happened here. "Did you all get anything like this too?"

[ Entering from Moon thread ] Bix had been on guard for most of the trip to the labs but hadn't heard anything. He popped out a text right before he'd arrived. kuromeez Death guys doing okay? Moon, Sun all is well. Took down some beasties. Heading to Life. Hitting send they walked through the lab doors just to see the monster fall. Apparently Cass and Before beat them to it. "Hey guys.."

Cass walked over to Leon to give him a quick check over, given that...he kinda looked shake-y on his legs, she'd confess. Still, she looked concerned.
"Actually, no. We didn't get attacked at all." she said, frowning. "Based on the texts I sent out to other people, it sounded like Death was doing find, Sun and Moon were also OK, so....only Mist didn't get attacked. That's why we ran to help out the other divisions where we could." She wouldn't admit it bothered her - she should have been a bit more help than she'd ended up being, but... it looked like one healthy squad of five active members would have been enough to help clean up a few messes.
"But I think heading to su-.... Oh my god...why didn't I..." she nearly facepalmed, pulling her phone out again to begin hastily writing up another message, which for anybody who was inclined to look was titled to one 'Lance', who had been mentioned previously.Marushii Lance!! What's going on? Are you alright? We just took down a giant Robot in the Life Labs and it sounds like there were at least three more..somethings..running around! Is there any information in the base? I know it isn't normal-hours, but between you and the Moon Division's video surveillance, maybe we can get some clarification! Sorry if I woke you up! You're the best!
And then Bix..
"BIX!" Cass nearly threw herself on the older hunter (her not-brother) in a relieved hug. "Are you alright? I mean, I know you're alright, but.... anything I can help you with?" It seemed she was just anxious to find a way to be helpful amidst the chaos.

Before leaned against a wall for support, giving a sigh of relief to learn that had been no fatalities. Bix's arrival had the former Lifer grinning and if he could just somehow straighten his back a bit, he would have totes gone over to give his bro a Bro-Hug. But seeing as Cass beat him to it, well, Before settled for giving the Sunny a thumb's up. And then his phone began to vibrate. Taking out the device, he read the message aloud:Quote: All divisions seem to be clear. There is some activity up in the Miss Taken Tower. Go check it out. Bring some buddies too. Lance, out.

Cass's had pulled out her phone about when Before had, and for a moment she didn't realize that...her head-voice wasn't actually a man. Then she looked up, pausing... wait...
...
...
wait...
...
...
She looked at Before after a moment and then giggled a bit, amused at herself. "I'll head over now, then." she nodded, patting Bix on the shoulder one last time before she headed for the door. "You guys rest up before coming to join us, yeah?" she said, shrugging a bit as she left the others to head back to see what the others were up to.

Marcus was thanking god as he arrived at the life labs. No monters on the way and he wasn't dead yet. Plus it looked they had dealt with... a problem of their own. "Glad to see no one is dead yet." Cass and Before were here as well. "Where are the other Mists?" He doubted they had abandoned the other trainees, but- Cass was often spontaneous and Before was- well he was Before for christ's sake. Wasn't his problem, right now, making sure that his own division made it here safely and got the care they needed was a priority.
"Moon division took a beating over at the dorms. Sad to say we suffered one casualty. The coffee maker." No doubt that soon enough they would mourn the machine. Good bye savior of 2 am missions.
Shuffling into the room, it was pretty obvious he'd taken a beating himself, and his FEAR shield was down. "We need bandages. Petra's shield is down and about half the moon division if bordering the same. If more of those things show up, we're ******** to put it mildly."

Tedan had been following after the others, and was honestly glad to find that apparently the Life-rs had already beaten their enemy before they got there. He wasn't entirely sure how much more of a beating he could take from these monsters before his FEAR shield was totally gone. He had to agree with Marcus about the bandages for sure.

FIRST AID
Since the Infirmary is part of the Lab building, there are numerous bandages to be found throughout! However...this is the Lab building so some of them are slightly experimental.
Crayon Bandages
roll 1 d4
1: It burns! You lose 5 hp
2: Your skin turns a nice shade of purple and gain 5 hp
3: You fall in love with the first person you see ((whoever posts directly after)) for about fifteen minutes.
4: Fully healed!
Princess Bandages
1: You laugh so hard you cry, and lose 5 hp
2. Your skin begins to sparkle and you gain 5 hp
3: You think you're a princess for the next half hour.
4. Fully healed!
Cars Bandages
1. You run as fast as you can into a wall and lose 5 hp
2. Your skin begins to glow. Now just a healthy glow, but like a goddamn glowstick. But at least you gain 5 hp.
3. You make car sounds after every sentence for the next hour.
4: Fully healed!
If you get KO'd, don't worry! An intermediate lab trainee can revive you back to 10 hp using mouth-to-mouth!

Marcus and Tedan's arrival and request for bandages had Before looking around. "There oughta be some here?" It was more a question and less a statement as he rummaged through the wreckage. "AH HA!" he declared upon discovering some that looked... just ******** weird. "Uh, hopefully these'll do? Dunno where the higher ups kept the good ones we get during regular missions..."

Jerry was panting as he finally brought up the rear. His guitar thankfully hung from his back, unplayed, Roar still in his arms. "I'm here! I'm here!" He caught hte snippits of ends of conversations, the other congregating factions already forming a plan it would seem as Cass whisked by him. "Er- has anyone seen...?" He tried of the Mist hunters, but it was too late.
"Bandages, yeah, that sounds like a great idea!" The coffee was starting to wear out. It would be good to at least keep those Fear Shields at top notch. "I'll er.. take one!" At seeing the colorful things in Before's hands, his face paled a bit. They looked suspiciously like the bandages Bix had had after his ah.... bad day. "You... er... aught to be careful with those."
Regardless, this was a time of crisis, and he meekly took a colorful Crayon looking one warily...
"Hum!" He said, patting it onto his wrist experimentally. "Well, I do feel a little better..." With his uniform gloves he wore to handle Roar, he didn't seem to notice the skin of his wrist- as well as his face- turn a nice, lovely purple.
HP: 20+5= 25
