Arthur and Lexus

Arthur took the merman's offer to come sit beside him on the rock. When he did,Lexus was pawing at his leg and whining. Trying to get the man to pick him up and set him on his owner's lap like they do at home. The pup didn't know what was exactly going on, but it was looking like this place was going to be our new home.
The man listened to how the merman was hurt by people from his race. He admitted that he was even more confused before about why the merman was being all nice to him even with so much bad experiences with human. If it was some kind of animal that gone through that abuse, no doubt that it would snap at any human hand with it that hand was trying to help it.
Arthur got his answer and no doubt had a pleasantly surprised look on his face that the merman saying he was different from the humans that hurt him. "Or it could be that I'm some helpless idiot, I kinda get that a lot." He joked.
"Say.... What's your name anyways? I really can't keep calling you 'merman' can I? My name is Arthur,Arthur Hayes and this little guy is Lexus."

Blake

The shadow hounds took Blake and his sister to the Judgement Court on Mount Eden. There all the gods that controlled the weather, sun, moon, sea currents, animals, elements, and others were at there places and were looking down at Blake and his idiot sister.
"You two black dogs are facing some serious crimes: Neglecting your post, endangering to reveal the sanctuary that me and the other gods and goddesses have created to keep you and your kind save from humans, and the most grim one- letting humans into the forest!" Began Lord Odin, King of Mount Eden.
The court was filled with muttered agreements, and then a few gods and goddesses made their opinions know about the black dogs' punishment should be. Which caused an uproar in the court. Some were arguing that they should be both to put to death, the female should be put to death, and even the whole Blake clan being executed. Others were shouting about what they should do to the humans and had exaggerated possible harms from letting them live.
"SILENCE!" Odin roared, making not only the black dogs shriek back but the gods as well. "That's better. Now as for the black dogs' punishment. Each would receive a personal punishment worse than death.... Blair, you not only broke your word to temporary take your brother's post but due to your leaving you post to follow your mate, directly causing our human problem.... You are here punished with a curse that causes any potential mate to be unaroased by you and never to be able to mate again."
Let's just say that Blake's sister didn't take that so well.... The shadow hounds had to drag her out.
"Now Blake, though it was your sister's carelessness that caused the couple humans to find our forest. The cave is still your responsibility. You chose your sister to take care of your post, knowing her faults. There for, you too must be punished.... Blake, your punishment is your permanent relief of your guard duties and will not receive another."
"WHAAAAAAAAAAT?!"
Hours later after the trial, (the Odin decided to have the shadow hounds keep an eye on the humans and report their behavior. Only then will they decided what to do with them) Blake was walking with his black dog head hanging low and his tail dragging as he moped around the forest. He was now forever.... JOBLESS! It was indeed a fate worst than death. At least with death he wouldn't have to live without reporting early in the morning to relief Cara's night post and start his own. His whole purpose was guarding that cave and guiding newcomers into the forest. what the hell was he suppose to do now?!
His depressed self for some reason lead him to one of the merpeople pounds.

Yun smiled as Alzeid kissed his neck, lightly taking the man's hand in his. The succubus' calm energy made him feel relaxed and helped to ease the stress of everyone's individual aura influencing. So long as someone was in the forest he could sense them. Scythe's irritation at him felt prickly and gave him a headache. "Haven't you already terrorized the poor person enough already?" he asked, frowning at the man. The dryad was distracted again as Andrew came up to them with a human man. This was the one who had felt like wind. Of course, Andrew felt a lot like Scythe, but more like a cold stone under water. "Calm down," he murmured, going to the man and trying to soothe him before he went into a panic attack. When Scythe talked about killing the man Yun turned to them with a soft frown. "Why should you kill him? He hasn't done anything wrong," he said, trying to keep the man calm. "I suppose that would explain though why your toy feels like sunlight and gold," he said, shaking his head. "You would tease a demi-god and make him scared. Poor thing." Autumn's mental yelling made him close his eyes and lean closer to Lore. "Stop yelling please." ((Is that everything? I feel like I missed some of the plot. It didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense since I couldn't figure out who all was talking to who. It was giving me a headache so I kind of gave up.))

Alzeid sighed as he watched Scythe leave to play with his toy. he shook his head and moved to look at the human along with Yun, "hmmm, he looks yummy. i vote we keep him as a pet." Lore was glad when the most human looking of the group moved forward and defended him. had he not had only a shred of his pride left he'd have clung to the man, but the horned one soom followed. at their talk of what they should do with him, he paled, but then the bigger snake left and he felt a little relief. "s-sorry, i didn't know i wasn't suppose to be here." he said, shaking his head, "i fell down a cliff and was in this forest. i'm just trying to find my way out, that's all." he looked at the one who'd come to him first, but his eyes flicked to the horned one who said he should be kept as a pet. "i wont tell anyone, just let me go home."

Kai looked up and smiled as Blake made his way over toward where he was lounging in the calm water. "Something troubling you?" he asked, pushing himself up onto the rocks and curling his tail slightly. You can come talk with me if you like. I won't make fun of you or anything," he said, leaning forward to stretch and sun himself on the rocks.

Yun let Lore cling to him, gently stroking the man's hair so that he wouldn't be so tense and afraid. "Do not be afraid human, we will not harm you. This place is meant to be a sanctuary for all who are hunted or troubled by humans." He looked up at Alzeid with a slight frown as the succubus teased the human man. "Don't tease him Alzeid. I have no need for pets. Besides, your idea of a pet is someone who will warm your bed and I thought you had plenty of that," he said, sitting next to Lore and shaking his head. "If you wish to go home I see no reason to deny you your wish but I believe the Court of Mount Eden needs to judge whether you can be trusted not to bring more humans here to hurt our people."

Alzeid sighed, "yes, but it's been so long since i had a human. they're very tastey you know." he giggled, but then sat down and looked the human in the eyes for a long time, "hmmm, i don't think the Court will let him go home, but they just might let him live." he shrugged, "either way, we'll see. unless we keep him hiden like Scythe suggested." Lore shivered when the horned man stared into his eyes. he wan't to look away, but couldn't. "damn my luck." he whispered and shook his head before pulling away from Yun and slowly standing up. "so-what do i have to do? is there a specific person i have to see to go to the Court and try to go home?" he'd be damned if he just sat there and waited for them to decide to eat him.

Yun sighed as Alzeid teased Lore more, shaking his head. "Alzeid," he murmured, turning back to the human. "Normally Blake would have kept you from entering but he doesn't seem to have. I hope he's not in too much trouble. We can take you to him or one of his family and they can take you to the Court." Softly he smiled, relaxing and sighing as a bit of sunlight streamed down on him. "Ah, so warm," he murmured, shifting to get the warmth on his shoulders and back.

Blake

Blake snapped out of his gloom and doom state when a merman tried to start a conversation with him. This was Blake's first time going out and about the forest. Since he either was doing his job, sleeping, or taking a short break near his post. Outside of his clan, some other black dogs, and newcomers that he'll only recognize for short while after they arrive Blake didn't know any of the other creatures in the forest. But most do know him, or at least know that he's "the dog at the gate/entrance".
He just glared at the merman and growled at him. "Leave me be, I just want to be left alone." He replied harshly even though the merman sounded like he was truly genuine in his concern for the black dog. As he walked through the forest, the damn shadow hounds already gotten word of not only humans being in the forest about also Blake being responsible and now forever jobless. After the shocks and fear, the shadow hounds reassured them that so far they didn't look harmful to them but if they do they'll be dealt with swiftly, Blake very quickly became a joke through the whole forest. Even now the merpeople were spreading the latest news about him and were giggling.
Sure, they were at a distance from the merman but Blake did have ears of a wolf. "Now if you excuse me, I must find a cave so I'll never have to show my face to the forest again." Blake said his 'goodbye' but earth nymphs decided to have some fun with the "stupid dog" and blocked every direction he was going to walk off in by a wall of rock. As they were giggling and farther humiliated him with their jokes.... They quickly got a taste of a little hell fire and sent them running and screaming from fear.
Now nymphs were now thinking they can have some fun and mess with him! Nymphs for crying out loud! No one likes them, not even the gods and were considered the lowest creature second to humans. In other words, Blake now officially hit rock bottom. "Give me a break! I used to be one of the THEE black dogs- I used to be respected! I used to welcome harmless newcomers and burn enemies, that dared to try to get pass me and into the forest, to ciders ! Burn them to CIDERS! Now I'm butt of every creatures' stupid, idiotic jokes! I'm nothing but a laughing stock!
After his anger was let out, with hell flames surrounding him in a huge fire ball scared the ground he was on when he re-made his last point, Blake kinda snapped......Being turned pathetic. Not having his job being the laughing stock of the forest was just too much for the black dog that spent his whole life doing the exact same thing everyday, taken seriously even by the gods, and still had his pride and dignity.
"I just want to be left alone. I want to wallow in whatever black dogs are suppose to wallow in. Do black dogs wallow in pity? Oh! Listen to me! I don't even know what I'm suppose to wallow in! I'm so patheeeeetic!" Blake exclaimed.... Well, cried. the gods really did pick the perfect punishment for Blake.
((I had so much freakin fun with this XD Of course Blake is going to react extremely to losing his job. His job WAS his whole world and life and now all he's left is nothing.... Makes you want to hug him doesn't it))

Kai sighed as Blake snapped at him and growled. His tail transformed into two human legs as he climbed further out of the water and walked up to the black dog's side as he tried to get away. It seemed to him that the dog was really upset by something. Of course the rumors spreading through the others seemed to irritate the dog more. "Don't be like that," he said, moving to catch up to Blake when the nymphs started to play with him. Dodging the black dog's hell fire Kai went closer to the dog and tried to touch Blake's head. "You're not a laughing stock. Please, don't be so upset," he said, lightly touching the hair on the back of Blake's head when the black hounds started to burn everything around him. The merman gasped and jumped back, getting slightly singed on one of his arms. It hurt but he'd feel better as soon as he got in the water. Instead he got back up and went back to trying to calm Blake down. "Be careful. Don't be so depressed. I'm not sure what happened exactly since I don't listen to gossip but I'm sure you are upset about something. Why don't you tell me. It might make you feel better," Kai said, moving to Blake's side and lightly stroking the black dog's head.

Blake

If it was still the dutiful, prideful, and 24-7 serious Blake, he would have burn the merman's hand right off from petting him like some human's lap mutt. But this was the Blake's who's pride, dignity, and spirit has been crushed into fine dust and scattered by the blowing wind. So, he let the merman pet him and Blake even tilted his head towards the gentle hand. after a few moments of silence and petting, Blake calmed down.... A little but enough to give the merman what he wanted to know. So he could go off and search for that cave and never come out of it.
Fine. Around noon one of my sisters came up to me and tried to get to take a break and her fill in. 'You can't just stand here all day, everyday doing nothing. Don't you think of anything else in that tiny head of yours?' She complained.
'Go out and try to have a life, you little freak. Go and meet SOMEBODY new. Man, I can't believe you're even my brother and being so anti-social and kill joy.' She said
'Don't worry, I'll stand RIGHT HERE and take care of things while you're on your break. Now get! She promised.
So, I took a break to make her shut that whining hole of hers. Only to fine out later that she went off to screw with her mate and let not one but TWO HUMANS into the FOREST! I even ran into one when he was taking to the merman take came to the forest a few weeks back! After I was trying to kill my good for nothing sister, the shadow hounds came to take up to the Judgement Courts where we were personalized sentenced to fates far crueler that deaths...... I not ONLY lose my job as cave guardian but will FOREVER REMAIN JOBLESS!!!!
Black dogs are SUPPOSE to have duties, that's our code, our way of life, our being!"
Blake explained very UN-rationally and even broke into tears at the end of it.

Alzeid pouted a little at being scolded again and stood along with the human, "I'm Alzeid the Succubus and this is Yun, the Dryad. what's your name, sweet thing?" he asked, winking. Lore was thinking of which option would be the best when the horned man introduced himself and the one with him. wait-succubus? as in demon that sucked out life force through sex? and dryad-a real live dryad was basking in the sun before him. maybe he didn't want to go home. this ws amazing-without the snake men of course. "uh, it's Lore, well Lorance, but i go by Lore. nice to meet you, and maybe i could meet this Blake? i mean, if i have to go to court wouldn't turning myself into the guard be the first step?"

Autumn
Autumn freaked when he was taken to the back of the cave with the snake man. He was terrified and wondered just what the creature would do to him.
Autumn was afraid and it probably sensed it he wanted to get out of there and hide... Maybe someone out there would help him.... But how? He didn't know what the male would do....

Kai gently stroked Blake behind the ears as the black dog leaned into his hand. He nodded sympathetically as the other told his story and when the hound finished the merman was sitting next to him. "That sounds horrible," he said soothingly, gently hugging the black dog. "It's not your fault that your sister left your post. You trusted her to do as she said. I think it's cruel of them to punish you like that when you weren't the one at fault. Besides, you deserve a break now and then. How can they say it's your fault that there are humans here? he asked, trying to make the hound feel better. "Maybe if you get the humans out of the forest and show how good you are at your job the Court will see how good you are and reinstate you," Kai suggested, smiling softly at Blake. "It could be worth a try. Besides, someone needs to do something about the humans right? So why shouldn't you do it? I'll help if you like." The merman stood and put his hand lightly on the black dog's back, stroking lightly. "Even if you aren't the cave guardian that doesn't mean you can't still do things."

Yun tilted his head as if listening to something. "Strange. Blake is over near the mermaid pools with Kai. I've never known him to leave the border before unless he was guiding someone. There's something else too...." The dryad sighed and shifted, getting up and going to the nearest tree, putting his palm flat against the bark. "The trees are saying that Blake's been fired from his post. What happened?" he asked in general, not really directing the question to anyone in particular.
