[R4 was pretty difficult to judge...There were so many great profiles from our contestants and so many different views from our judges. xd
I took several routes when it came to trying to narrow the list down to a few possible winners and I'm going to post some of my methods here so I can come back to use them later. I can already tell R5 is going to be an all-around tough round also. surprised ]

After all seven judges finished their ballots, averaged the ratings to come up with a total for each contestant.
Judges were then asked to choose what they considered to be the Top 4 profiles from among the 10, based upon Popularity, (number of votes in the poll), Average Rating, and the individual opinions of the judges themselves.
(At that point, several profiles were eliminated right away, while others survived that cut and were pushed along to the next "sorting" method.)
Tallied how many times each contestant was chosen by the judges for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. If the contestant was only chosen once, then the contestant didn't move on to the next step.
Based on each judges' decision for the Top 4, figured out how many times each contestant had been chosen by each judge for the winning three places. For example, Chisa was the #1 (or first place) choice for 3 out of 6 judges (my opinion was not used for this).
From here, I was charged with the difficult task of choosing MY Top 4 out of everyone else's choices for Top 4.
Finally, at this point I should have been able to eliminate one of my Top 4 to make the top 3 contestants. BUT, TriskDaemon's and Pokeyoats' profiles each had their own unique styles and were both great candidates for Honorable Mention.
A few of the factors: On the one hand, #2 (TriskDaemon) didn't contain any personal introduction. There was no "Hello, my name is Bob" kind of statement in the profile, which to me is sort of a necessity for a profile. It's kind of what profiles should be intended for. On the other hand, #10 (Pokeyoats) had a theme that was a little too "out there" for my common-sense-based imagination. xd It was supposed to be a "bulletin board," but there were items tacked or "push-pinned" up, as if the bulletin board was hanging, yet there were also items just "floating" that shouldn't really be on a vertically hanging bulletin board, such as writing utensils.
The main functions of #2 were to basically wow the viewer with [lovely] art and then the viewer could either post or read comments or move on via one of the links. #10 had a personal introduction to read, but then you could either read or leave comments or leave the profile via a few links. The rest of this profile was basically just shouting out the contestant's name, while in #2, you could at least see some personality in the avatar art. 3nodding
All in all, #2 was just slightly the better of the two, but they were still so close (especially in rating) that I couldn't choose one over the other. If I hadn't tied them, I'd still be sitting here doing the mental "this hand and that hand" comparisons. xd
