Claire`s eyes narrowed as turned to face him and said her voice low to keep Patches asleep “you have nothing to do with it. you didn`t leave me in a burning building, you didn`t know that the blood would do anything to me. If you even dare to blame yourself again I am leaveing and you will never hear from me again, that way you have something to feel guilty about.”

With a submissive posture, he cuddled up to her his arms gripping her in a sorry embrace as he buried his head in her shoulder."I'm sorry. Don't leave." He begged, his bottom lip quivering in an attempt to calm her down.

Claire blinked shocked she could even be mean. She then felt a small twing of guilt for makeing him upset, so she hugged him and said in a comforting manner “It`s alright Nocty I wont go anywhere.”

Noctis calmed down immediately, her words working well to soothe his suddenly raking nerves. He, himself was stunned by his sudden sensitivity. He never remembered vulnerability as a personality. Perhaps that is why he hid himself beneath a fake persona, to hide his tender heart and lame emotions. And over time... he lost sight of himself. Which was a good thing in his perspective."Promise me." He mumbled, his voice muffled by the way his lips were inclining against her shirt from the friendly embrace he had forced himself into."Despite the fun the others bring, each person plays an important role to me, and you've got to be the most significant of them all."

Claire smiled kindly assumeing she was more of a mother figure, considering the fac thats how she is to a majority of people and said “I`ll see what I can do”

The way she had said it... it was as if she were on a tight schedule."Don't tell me you don't have time for me." He groaned, deciding to just be downright silly about it to lighten the mood more."I'd hate to sound clingy, but still..." He mumbled.

When she kissed the top of his head, he felt a sudden rush of importance. It was a new feeling to feel... genuinely loved for once. Whether it was dirty love or the innocent kind. And whether she actually held any significant emotion for him didn't matter, because at least he could hold on to whatever false hopes he had."But you're not leaving. You said so yourself."
