Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus It seemed he had been spotted, and the little boy stepped out from behind the tree. He decided not to step too much closer, though he did step out of the shadows. He shrugged at her accusation, as it hadn't really been his intention. "I heard crying. I worried someone was hurt." he responded simply, though it seemed that the girl was sobbing over some sort of object. He hadn't quite caught what it was exactly, but he didn't really understand what was actually worth crying over. Maybe it was a surface girl thing? His calm green eyes surveyed the scene carefully, taking in the sight of the girls with a sort of calm precision. "No one is hurt, right?" he figured it best to double check, in case it was something that he couldn't see.

Elendil thought for a moment. There were so many things he had tried, he didn't know where to start. Maybe was best to start with something simple and work his way up. "Pasta. I want to try some pasta." The boy answered he was interested in how it tasted. "Please call me Elendil. I hope that you would be my new friend, Amira." He as more casual now. in his speech. He really just used this formal name around everyone who wasn't royal or friends with him.

Yvette wasn't buying that her father was just waiting for her birthday. She didn't think he had to wait for her birthday. "But when daddy announce that I was a princess he just said stuff. He didn't bother to show anyone." She pointed out. She was next-in-line and yet she didn't feel like she was.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu." Surprised by the boy's response, Lyndis relaxed slightly, though she still did not like the idea of being seen without her knowledge. Yet, his intentions seemed to be good, and she wasn't likely to be anygry with anyone for very long. "No, nobody is hurt." She shook her head, sure that their physical appearance would prove her words. Responding to Yvette, she let her attention stray from the stranger for a few moments. "Maybe you should talk to him." she suggested, remembering her mother's advice about fights. According to her, you should always tell the other person how you feel, without being rude. Realizing the second part to that lesson, she quickly looked back to the boy beside the trees. She'd definitely let him know how she felt, but she'd done so in an impolite way. "Oh, and I'm sorry for yelling at you." she said before looking down, her tone softer as she finished. "Thank you for caring about my friend." She hated apologies, but she knew that to ignore one was wrong, and she'd hate to upset another person.

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus Pasta was an excellent choice, and she could definitely ask her brother to make some for her for the next day. Maybe she could convince him to put a fire charm in it too, so she could heat it up a bit for her new friend. The young princess was a bit surprised at his next few words, nodding eagerly in response. "Yes, of course. Let's be friends." she agreed, smiling brilliantly. The wind her brother had caused had loosened her bow, she was sure it was purposely, so she reached up to adjust it once more. Tightening it carefully, she lowered her hands once it was set. "So Elendil, since we're friends now, what sort of things do you like?" she meant like hobbies and music, figuring this was the sort of thing that friends did.
Nodding at the girl's words, the boy looked prepared to leave when she apologized to him. The boy smiled faintly, raising a hand and shaking his head. "No, I think I also must apologize. I'm not exactly up to date about surface etiquette." he admitted, sounding oddly mature for his age. His species matured quickly, and while Amira was just as mature as he, the young princess was far more relaxed and excitable. "If everything is okay, I will leave the matter to you. Please forgive my intrusion." he gave a short nod, turning to head back through the trees.

Yvette shook her head. She didn't want her father to give her a tiara just because she asked. She wanted one because it was for her. Because she was his heir to the throne. "I only want a tiara because my daddy wants me to take over the throne after him." The girl answered her cousin.

Elendil took a moment to answer to think about what he liked to do. He took in a deep breath before he answered. "I like reading, archery, sword fighting, music, and learning about different cultures." He answered her. The way he said those things was like a mature and reverent tone. "What about you?" He asked his new found friend.

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus Listening carefully as he spoke, the young princess smiled faintly when he finished. "I like reading, music, and learning about different cultures too." she agreed, though her other interests differed a bit. "I think you'd like my big sister. She used to travel all over the world and knows a lot about other cultures. She's teaching me how to throw knives like her, since we don't use lots of magic." while her sister was technically a mage, Amira also knew that she didn't use her abilities often. Not, of course, that the older girl needed the extra power; she had seen the oldest princess in action, and she worried for anyone who went after her sister even if the other girl was holding only a butter knife. "I also like to paint, but I'm not very good at it." she admitted, looking a bit sheepish about it.

Elendil was happy that he seemed to make a good friend on the first try. Before it always had been family and family relations. This was the first child that he grow with. They liked trying new foods and doing similar things. He was so lucky this time. "I'd love to meet your sister." The boy answered. Hopefully he could meet her before the year was up. He had to start middle school next year and his governor was looking at having him at an all-boys Elvish school. "Unfortunately I have to develop my art skills to do painting well." He told her. It was something on his list of things he wanted to do.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu." Surface etiquette? That sounded odd. She had to dig through her knowledge of vocabulary even remember the definition of etiquette, and was pleased when she remember her aunt mentioning something about it and manners. Once she understood the word, she was taken aback by his speaking as if he didn't live on the ground. "You don't need to say sorry. But, who are you?" she asked before she could think better of it. She was still beside Yvette, who was clearly still upset and needed her attention more than this stranger. Lyndis turned her attention back to her friend in time to hear her last comment, though she still had no idea of what to do. "Then don't say that, exactly. Just ask him to spend more time with you. That's what I do when my dad when he gets back from a tour."

Yvette shook her head no. "Mommy said daddy is really busy and I should bother him too much. Besides if daddy had time and wanted to spend time with me then he would spend it with me." The child pointed out. The girl was just thinking of running away at this rate or just staying with her mother. Her mother always welcomed her home with open arms almost every day. If she could she would make sure someone did.

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus The Sylph was sure that her new friend would take to her sister, and she made a note to ask if she could invite him over sometime in the future. She didn't think her sister would mind, and as long as Rina was okay with it then she would be able to convince Ix that it was okay. As the conversation turned to painting and art, Amira nodded sympathetically. "I know what you mean. My mom says I should practice sketching until I get basic forms down." it seemed that the girl agreed, though she preferred colorful paints to the dull grey of pencils. She still practiced often, though, and wasn't about to give up.
Stopping in his tracks, the prince turned back to look at the pair of girls as he was asked who he was. "My name is Prince Orion Demtrius Windstorm. I'm a Sylph." he gave a small bow, his hands finding their way to his pockets as he straightened up. "It's a pleasure to meet you." he might have said 'the two of you' if it weren't for the fact that the crying girl was content to completely ignore him. It seemed his sister had been right when she told them to be careful as most surface humanoids didn't mature as quickly as Slyphid children, as the girl was having a bit of a 'temper tantrum', whatever that meant. That was fine, though, as he didn't really intend to say anything on that matter.

Elendil liked the topic of art. He wanted to go to an art school, but he knew that Reed's didn't have an good art program. "Same here. I want to study art, but the high school that I'm going to doesn't have an art program." The boy commented to the girl with a depressed tone. "They are barley getting Elvish as a language option thanks to my sister. She's going to start teaching potions." The boy commented with a smile. He really wanted to study more art.

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu." Lyndis frowned, her eyes showing how bad she felt for her friend. Every time Yvette doubted herself, it seemed like it was because her parents were fighting. "All I can say is what I said before. Tell your daddy, and even your mommy." She managed a smile, then lifted her head as she heard the boy spoke again. Her eyes widened slightly in understanding, and she beamed a smile. He was a prince, another addition to the royalty on campus; but more importantly was a sylph prince, which meant that he was related to someone she knew, and liked. Now was probably the best time to lift her friend's spirits, so she gently pushed on Yvette's shoulder to make her face Orion. "Vetty, cheer up, and meet our new friend." Just like that, she thought postively of Orion, and immediately forgot his earlier spying. "He's Rina's brother!" Then, for the prince's benefit and just in case her friend had forgotten, she added lightly, "My uncle is dating her."

Amira Josephine Windstorm, Third Daughter of the Basileus Frowning at the mention of a high school missing an art program, she thought he must be talking about Reed's. "You're talking about Reed's, right? My big brother and sister went there." she was disappointed to hear that they didn't have a good art program, but she knew that they did have a decent music and drama program. She was interested to learn that an Elvish princess was teaching there and adding the language to the schools list of programs. Her sister's boyfriend would also be teaching at the school, though he was teaching some magic related thing. Potions sounded cool, though, and not something that they did commonly on the island. "Elvish sounds cool, though. I bet my sister would have liked that class."
From his position he couldn't hear the upset girl's voice, but he was surprised when the one that had been speaking to him so easily called him a new friend. At the mention of his sister's name, however, his expression immediately brightened. Anyone that knew his sister was definitely someone he wanted to be friends with, and he was surprised when the girl claimed her uncle was dating his sister. "You're Andrew's niece?" he asked, remembering the human boyfriend his sister had brought home. Rina had mentioned that Andrew's niece went to this school, and she had encouraged both him and his sister to try and make friends with her.

The brunette calmed down a bit. Maybe for now she was fusing over nothing. She could fuse over what he dad didn't to later. She was still at school. She wiped away her tears. Her mom taught her use her formal title now. "I am Princess Yvette of the Spanish Sirens." She introduced herself. "It is a pleasure to meet you." She had no connection to this young man. She had no family dating his and there was probably no reason too. Once the girl had calmed down Donny and Eowyn joined back up. "Hey." The boy called out as the Indian girl pushed up her glasses.
"Yes. My governor wants me to go to that school since he teaches there an there are a lot of royal students." He answered about why he was going there. Most people didn't have governor anymore unless they were royal. Everyone else had their families pick what school they went to. "I'm only at this school for the year. Then I leave to another all-boys school." He explained. He didn't seem to stay in one play long. "Elvish is a beautiful language and when it comes time to marry me to a princess she'll have to know the language."

"Hi, I'm Lyndis Suncaliu." Hearing his question, Lyndis nodded enthusiastically. Her smile grew as Yvette spoke, though she noticed that she'd left out her mother's fame. She mentally shrugged it off, as proper introductions was still a confusing thing. What to say and what to leave out? "Of course, I'm Lyndis, distant princess of the Eastern Forest's Pixies. But call me Lyn." Watching as Abbadon and Eowyn rejoined the group, she quited, letting them introduce themselves as they please.
