[!] [School PRP] Quest for Clothing! (AMDRY)

Yǐn looked over at Alexander, and immediately wished he had not. The disbelief evident on his face was exactly as he had feared. He cringed, wishing he could be anywhere but here, wishing he could just get away from this whole group that now knew his shame. The hand on his back patted him, neither a soft touch or a hard one, and he was uncertain what to make of it. Its probably just a light hit as a warning. That when this is over I shall pay for it in pain.

He could not fault the other boil, this was entirely unacceptable. There was only one thing for him to do, and he stood, looking at the ice creature that they were facing. He had to help them destroy it. He had to protect the ghouls before they were hurt more than they already were.

He heard the whimper then, glancing down before looking away. He was not sure why exactly the zomboil was whimpering, but there was the distinct possibility that it was because he found out his teacher was such a despicable creature. He could not fault him for it. "I shall try to put an end to this battle" he told him rather formally. At least I can show him that I have a purpose.

With that he moved toward the mimic and Miss Danny. He did not mind that he was getting possibly too close to the fire, because he no longer cared what happened to him. As soon as he was within he attacked, fists lashing out relentlessly at the mimic, his face carefully set in a mask as he determinedly did not wince at the chill biting his hands. He had to help Miss Danny put the ice to rest.

The ice mimic staggered backwards under the hail of blows, cracks forming. One arm creaked and then shattered violently, sending a spray of jagged icicles flying outward, painfully piercing its opponents. "See how you like it!" it cried out, a new arm growing in place of the old one.

A shimmer ran over its form, but it stayed an ice-creature. The mimic snarled and hissed, backing itself against the broken window. Sharp ice spikes formed on the thing's body until it bristled.


Damage: 3 HP per person from the icicle shrapnel; if you successfully strike the monster you take an an additional 2 HP damage to yourself.

Even while lying on the floor trying his best to ignore his surroundings, it was hard to tune out the sounds of the ongoing battle, or the words that Yin spoke before going on the attack himself. He even tried humming to himself, but it didn't drown out the noises of the crackling ice, or stop the ice shards from slicing through his shirt and tie, embedding into his chest.

His eyes opened, and he pulled back his upper lip in a snarl. Rolling onto his hands and knees, he glared over at the ice creature. Fire be damned, he was not going to let the destruction of his tie go lightly! This one had had just the right amount of shred already on it, and now it was ruined! Now he pushed himself to his feet, and ignoring Danny, Yin, Mitzi, and the Reaper, he locked his gaze on the enemy, and reached out a hand towards it. Something seemed to ripple over Xander as wisps of green rolled off of him then formed around his hand into a pulsing vibrant green ball. He hadn't even tried to do this since coming to the school, knowing full well that the affects, if he should fail, would not be something the other students would take very well. Soon his hand was shaking, the green foggy mass pulsing wildly as he strained to keep it in check. He pulled his hand back towards himself....

....and suddenly it all seemed to explode around him. "Aw Jacking Hell!" He snarled, as the cloud of green enveloped him and then wafted outward Anybody in the vicinity would find that the smell around Alex was now incredibly disgusting, like a rotting corpse left out in the sun for several days intensified to new levels of rancid.

Good job, Alex. he thought to himself before turning away from the battle again.

If the weremantis was trying to prove that he could be useful he was not doing the best job at it. The shards of ice pierced his flesh, the stinging, frozen shards digging into his skin. Still, the creature was being forced to retreat, and now was the time to attack.

He moved forward, intent on attacking the thing, but when a horrible stench filled his nostrils his concentration slipped. In turn his balance faltered, not much, but just enough that his attack went wide. As his fist struck the wall near the creature he could not help but hiss in frustration, but not before he was forced to back up and turn away, trying to keep himself from retching at the scent of rotten meat.

Mitzi had just rolled over and sat up, and was looking to see who she had tripped over to apologize, when the ice shards came flying at her. She just had time to throw her arm up to cover her face, but the bits of ice left bloody cuts all over her. And they were cold.

She stood, brushing off any remaining bits of ice, and held out her hands to try her own FEAR attack. The ribbons on her clothing slithered out of their bindings, flying straight towards the ice mimic. Before she had a chance to wrap them around the enemy, though, a horrible stench wafted over to her. She started gagging, and lost all control of them. She didn't even see if any of them hit the mimic, and they certainly didn't do anything to prevent its movement. Mitzi was too busy trying not to retch to think about them at all.

After a moment, the ice mimic peered out from behind its own spikey arms. It stared at the students for a moment before breaking out in peals of laughter. "Ahahaha! Haha! You couldn't hit the broad side of a gingerbread barn!" it taunted, sweeping its arms out wide almost as if it wanted to give all the students a great big Christmas hug.

... What the movement actually did was launch the icicle spikes. They whistled through the air, striking the students. And when they were able to focus again after that attack, they found themselves facing two Dannys. Again.

Maybe the ice creature assumed there was power in fire, its natural enemy?

Maybe it was the fact that he felt like he needed to prove himself. Maybe it was that he was just getting plain pissed off. Whatever the reason, when the ice spikes pummeled into Xanders back, tearing through the thin fabric of his shirt and piercing the flesh beneath to allow a slow, dark fluid to seep out, he turned around slowly and began to march towards one of the Danny figures. His eyes were unfocused, his mind racing, but he kept himself together somehow until he stood before her.

Then he backhanded her across the face.

It didn't ever occur to him that he might be attacking the wrong Danny. The one that he hit was cold to the touch and he knew he'd chosen correctly. "This is the only shirt I have left!" He yelled at her. Not that he really cared much about the shirt..he could get a new one..

After using her FEAR, Danny was a bit worn out. She had decided to hang to the sides of the battle, letting herself recharge a little. Sure, she wasn't dying or anything, but she was feeling pretty damn worn out after running around AND using her FEAR.

Then ice came flying at her, shredding her already shredded sweatshirt, and cutting any bare skin that was available (and quite frankly, with Danny, everything was bare skin). In pure reaction, Danny sent a fireball at the thing, but it was deflected instantly. Danny shlumped against a wall. Fighting was hard!

Finally the ice mimic shifted forms once again, reflecting her surface. Maybe the only form it had was Danny. Maybe it just saw Danny first and that was the only form it could copy. It was kind of weird though. Danny didn't like fighting herself.

To try and encourage everyone else, she said, "Go guys! You can do it!" Some support that was.

As the spikes flew toward him Yin automatically brought his arms up to attempt to guard himself, but the spikes were content to drive themselves into his arms. Wincing he looked up. At two Dannys. Again.

"Just be a coward and stay in that form," he said angrily, knowing that he could not possibly attack it and risk hurting Miss Danny again. Being helpless at this time was even more frustrating than usual, but he just could not do it.

Nyyrikki's expression hardened as the enemy again took Danny's form, but he felt confident in his ability to distinguish one from the other after his earlier success. Again he hung back until he saw a flash of something not quite Danny in either of their eyes. Except when he finally saw it he panicked and didn't attack quickly enough, and his chains missed their target by a fraction, dealing no damage to their opponent.

The smell finally diminished enough that Mitzi could think, and as the last of the fog cleared she heard Danny call out encouragement. She looked around, and was fairly certain the one by the wall had been the one to speak. That meant the other one had to be the mimic, right? Well, then she would do her best.

She ran at the other Danny, but apparently it was still too soon after Alex's attempted stink bomb. She recoiled from the smell of the zomboil, not able to get close enough to him to reach the figure behind him.

One of the Dannys hissed and spat at Xander, and a moment later the demon's guise slid away, revealing the facets of ice beneath. "Tcha! Still weak, all of you. Weak. Weaaaaak..." Its movements were erratic, though, and there was a faint silver clouding the ice on one side, a blue glow overtaking one clear eye. It hissed again and wobbled to the side, banging into the wall before color washed over it once more.

The mimic darted past Mitzi; as it moved past her, it took on her shape, grabbing her around the waist and tugging her to the ice-covered floor with it in a wild tumble. Which Mitzi was which? Who knew...

Finally the ice form took on a different shape, yet it still remained a ghoul. The mantodae glowered at the two as they tumbled and clenched his fists. He could no longer just stand and do nothing, he had to try to attack.

He moved forward, unballing his fists. If there was a chance it was attacking a ghoul he would just try a light attack. He struck out at the closest one, wincing has his hand hit soft flesh. "I apologize," he murmured even as he cringed away. He had done it again.

Mitzi yelped as the mimic knocked her to the floor. She tried to kick out at it, but the rock-hard ice just hurt her foot. She whimpered for a moment, and then forced herself back to her feet. She would have to take another try at it, while she knew which other person it was.

And when she rose to her feet, the mantodae hit her in the shoulder. She was about to tell him to be more careful, when she saw how upset he was. "It's okay, Yin, let's just get this thing before it attacks again."

More chaos seemed to erupt around him as the ice figure changed it's shape yet again. He peeked over his shoulder and saw that there were now two Mitzi's running around.

"This is getting ridiculous" He muttered, and attempted to throw a swing at one of the Mitzi's as they darted by, but missed completely.
