Nialla held up the stick and the vine whip disappeared back inside.
"So sorry," Nialla said, nodding towards the girl she had threatened, "You do have demonic sort of powers."
She turned to the girl who had just joined them and gave her a friendl smile.

"Well, you cant blame me for thinking she was a demon. She was using a demonic-like power." Matt extended his hand to the girl. "I'm truly sorry. My name's Matt, and evidentaly your name's Dancer. Nice to meet you." He shook her hand, moved towards the other girl, then shook her hand . "And you are?"

"I'm Jen." She said, looking around at everyone, noticing they were all about her age, or older. One girl was smiling at her, so she smiled back.

Jen rubbed her eyes and nodded. "I'm an empath." She said, sounding kind of doubtful, hoping no one else had picked up on it. "So what are your powers?" She asked.

"An empath? Impressive. I have the power of telekinisis. And they..." he glanced at the others. "...arent important. How old did you say you were again?"
After remembering he was still shaking her hand, he finaly let go.

Jen smiled, and nodded slowly. "I didn't, but I'm 17." she said. "How old are you?" She asked.

aren't important? Nialla thought, her eyebrow slightly raised.
Oh well, it didn't matter. They were going through yet another round of introductions and someone was eventually going to connect her to her family....
Silently Nialla placed the stick that had just been a whip back in her belt loop and began to edge quietly towards the door.

Jen noticed her about to walk away, mainly because she sensed her doubt in herself. "Wait a second." She said, stepping toward the girl. "Who are you?" She asked, unable to shake the feeling that her doubt included family reasons, but that could've easily been her own biased.

Jen nodded, skeptically. "It's nice to meet you to." She said, smiling. "So, do you live in San Franscisco?" She asked, not sure what to say next, in truth someone to show/tell her where to eat would be nice, but she wouldn't ask anyone that.

"I do now," Nialla replied, "I just arrived here a few days ago."
It suddenly struck Nialla that a group of strangers were exchanging information in an alley. How odd. Actually the fact that they had all run into each other tonight was odd too.
