Alex looked at her and sighed. "I wish that things where that simple in this family... you can never be to sure." He told her before sitting at his desk. "I picked you up because it was the fastest way to get up here..... Sister, I do know that something is on your mind." He said while looking through his desk. "If you do not want to talk about it just yet, then you can tell me how the upgrades on your suit is working out for you."

 OutfitVeronica knocked on the large wooden door of Wayne Manor then waited quietly. She brushed her pale hand across her stomach. She couldn't help it, she smiled happily as she felt her the heat of her body, or perhaps of another body. Veronica brushed her silky blood colored hair out of her face wondering who would be there.

 Nichole walked back and forth across the room slowly, as if in deep thought. "The upgrades are working fine. . ." she said absently. She looked back at him, her face unreadable, "Don't you have a wife to get back to."

Nichole walked over to the desk, but didn't sit, instead she braced her hands against it and leaned in. "Sense when do you care about my attitude?" she asked, her voice not agressive but not friendly either. "I do my job, I stay out of your way. That's what you want, isn't it?"

Alex looked at her. "No... thats not what I wanted. but you are my little sister and I do worry about your safety.... So I will not just sit by and watch you hurt yourself. That is way I am always looking after you." He told her. "I can't let anything else happen to you, I will not make that mistake again."

She stiffened. "Hurt myself? You think I'm hurting myself?" She stepped back, shaking her head. "News flash Alex, I'm not some helpless little girl who doesn't know what she's doing." It was begining to get harder for Nichole to keep feelings under wraps, it was clear something had been eating at her for quite some time. It was coming to a boil now.

(( Eh. I'll find an image later. )) A dark figure loomed through the shadows of the manor. He looked at everyone that was there and was rather annoyed at who had showed up. What was on his irk list? Batman was wearing bright green these days and that wasn't something you could call stealthy now was it? Next was the Drake family. They annoyed him and grinded his gears to the finest. Tim is somewhere, dead for all he cared, but that didn't stop his snot-nosed brats from running around now did it? Not to mention the boy reeked of Ra's Al Gul and that annoyed the figure even further. Why would that boy have an affiliation with his grandfather? See now. The Drakes were nuisances. More trouble than they were worth. The bright green had to go as well. It was too annoying on his eyes even though they shared blood. Damian wanted to fix all annoyances just as soon as possible, but he couldn't, especially not at this time of year. Instead, he would wait until things got interesting for him to come out the shadows. He stayed looking at Max who started walked down the halls and then shifted his gaze back at everyone else. It was a good view to see everyone when you were above them, not like he was looking down on them, no pun intended. To sum it up, he was sitting on one of the beams high up in the darkness.

    Haley looked in the direction of the front door- they were not too far from it, and she looked back at her grandma with a smile.
"I got it-"
She skipped for the door and opened it to see who was on the other side.

OutfitVeronica smiled happily as a girl opened the door. She recognized the blonde girl but wasn't exactly sure who she was. Veronica thought for a moment then spoke. "Haley isn't it? Mind if I come in?" She ask brushing down her red dress.

Haley blinked as her name was said. She couldn't recall meeting this woman in person. She had however seen her face and heard her voice- it was all related to the 'bat' business that took place under the manor. Haley kept a sweet smile and nodded her head, opening the door to let the woman in.
"Yes, Haley Drake--- of course! Come in-"

She wasn't quite sure what to say to that, so she just remained quiet. It was true, the Bat-family had had its share of deaths and worse, but why Alex felt the need to bring that up she didn't know. Lately it seemed like her and Alex couldn't be within 10 feet of each other without fighting, unless they were in costume.

Kit noticed Veronica come in and quietly slipped away from the rest of the family. "Veronica it's nice to see you. How have you been?" she said hugging her old friend tightly. "Come in and meet the rest of the family," she chuckled, "I'm getting quite a headache from trying to battle this alone," she whispered to her.
