It didn't take long for the briefing to begin when the sender of the message revealed themselves and caught the attention of nearly everyone in the room. Leon's eyes widened in shock that it was not Master Cael or the nefarious Julie playing another trick on him or even Dr H trying to test on them for science. But the life hunter was flabbergasted to see the nearly identical person from the mission beforehand, being swift about what she wanted them to do.

Aria.

When was she cleared to assign missions, He expected her to be stuck in some kind of extenuating inquiry over her doppleganger and twin weapon, but alas, there she was. Barking out orders that almost felt like Caelius was in the room. This was not to time to test her patience and he was just going to follow through with her request.

The brunette life hunter turned about face to address the one who called him out, and didn't expect it to be the one and only Tedan. Leon couldn't decided whether he wanted to shake the male silly or just punch him to death, but it didn't stop him from keeping a leveled glare at the man while he spoke. "You're Sun and i'm life, we are of different branches and would be able to work together." he replied back rather gruffly and adjusted his vest, just looking at fiver made his skin itch.

"I hate your guts with a passion, you know that, I know that, almost everyone here knows that." he began to explain to the sun hunter and gave a shrug. "But we'll have to work together on missions one day like this, best to get over it and whatnot right?" not to say that he wasn't feeling reluctant about it. "Fine, let's see how well we can work together then, Tedan."

This has bad idea written all over it for you meathead. deep down inside, Leon knew Nidhogg was right.

"Now we just need a few more members to join our little squad." he mused out quietly to his..... partner....ally.... annoyance.

"... Well, they say life and death work together all the time," She grabbed Before and held him in a choke hold... Minus the choke, since she needed him to be alive for this. The way she was holding onto him though, made sure that he wasn't escaping anywhere.

"Any sun, moon, mist hunters without a group around?"

"Yes Ma'am!" Cass visibly straightened up at the tone of the Mist Division Leader, obviously still having a bit of that..previous fear the woman had instilled in her (hopefully it had really been Aria who had done that and not Red) at the Florescetival as she looked around at the assembling groups thoughtfully. Mmmm.. Marcus wasn't there yet. If he didn't arrive, who would she group up with?

Was Bix around? She didn't see him either. She seemed very..thoughtful about this. Stand in for missing, right? That meant she would wait to see what groups formed and who was missing a discipline in their team, she'd guess. She scratched the side of her head and made a face, before pulling out her phone to message Marcus.



she typed in quickly before shoving her phone back into one of her coat's inner pockets, still messaging away in her pocket.

"Wait... I thought Aria had..." Jerry's expression paled, but at least the scrambling for groups was a good distraction for just then. "I guess I've gotta' tag along to keep you ladies covered, right? Ahaha- oh! REINE!" He called out, giving a wave to the pale-haired huntress who looked as though she had also arrived late and was looking a little lost, "Do you need a group?" He turned back to the other girls, brows raised, "Do we need a Life hunter?" He couldn't remember what division this new girl, Eva, was.

She shrugged. Apparently Aria really was still alive. Though his teasing did earn him a smile and a kiss on the cheek, giggling like a schoolgirl for his benefit. "Oh, Mister Collins. Won't you protect me~?" She whispered quietly in his ear in a thick, southern drawl until he called out Reine's name. She tensed, holding him almost possessively for a brief moment before relaxing and lifting her weight off Jerry. He...wanted this girl? But she was the girl who disobeyed orders, who flipped her s**t when it was unnecessary. Those were the only impressions Candace had of Reine. This girl annoyed her.

Ugh. Why did he want her around?

Candace gave Jerry a small smile as he asked about Life hunters. "Eva is death, you're sun. Aria wants Cass and I to fill in for other divisions so I can either act in the place of Moon or Life." She would much rather have Harrison but she didn't seem him around. But...Jerry wanted her in the group.

Goddamnit.

"I guess I can substitute for a Moon hunter." She said calmly, looking back to Eva. "What do you think, darlin'?" She paused when she noticed Robert waving pleasantly at the girl, raising a brow and giving Reine her attention. Robert liked her, huh? She wasn't sure if this made her want her more or want her less. A mixture of both? That'd work. "Ultimately it's up to Reine, of course."

Jerry beamed, clearly not upset by the way things had panned out when he last spoken to the Life-hunter. There was a fresh scar on his chin that still looked a bit scabby from the incident, but he drew no attention to it. "The more the merrier! Reine, this is Candace, Candace, this is Reine. She was a fellow Phoenix during the trials! It'll be nice to fight along side you again, ahahahah. And not... y'know. Against you. I see you know Miss Eva already, we've only just met." He smiled crookedly, adjusting his scarf, "I don't see Harrison... we'd have a full set if he was around!" He frowned, looking concerned, "You don't think.... he's not er... recovering well, do you?"

Oooooh, Reine! Eva immediately brightened up upon seeing her friend, returning the hug. When Candace asked for her opinion on letting the life hunter join their group, Eva gave her a wide-eyed stare that seemed to be asking, "can we keep her? Pleeeeeeeease?"

So yes. She wanted Reine on their team--very much so.

She looked up at Jerry then, offering the man a grin and stretching out her hand. "Well, Jerry. I've seen you around," Like during that incident in the hallway with Leon, "But we were never formally acquainted. Nice to meet you!"

Now, what was this mission going to entail, exactly?

Jordan kept a straight face with some amount of difficulty. He was pretty sure he liked this guy already. All stupid jokes aside, however, it was mission prep time. "I'm Jordan," he said to Deryk, and offered a handshake. "Nice to meet you."

He flashed a quick smile to Jerry and Reine - good, it looked like Jerry had taken charge of their Phoenix hatchling. Well, time to worry about his own group. "We still need Moon and Mist, if anyone's available," he said thoughtfully.
