Dakota came out of the room with a blurred sleepy face as he was awoke by the sounds of gunfire and bells.
It's like Call of duty. Bang...Bang...
Oh god someone was rattling the door, Move your men to the staircases, no zombies allowed in s**t s**t.
"ROB DON'T BLOCK THE ENTRANCE." He woke with a start before blinking....
Was the war outside his room now?
"Yo..." Julie...was out here...with bell....and people singing." I'm going back to bed now." He looked at them all before grinning at Cass's predictment. "Have fun there Gorgeous."

Reine Walker was not at all amused at the ruckus outside her room. She dragged herself out of bed- and the pile of plushies- and staggered over to the door, then opened it.
Oh.
Reine squinted, managing to make out what looked like Jerry- and also Julie, and Bix, and.. she had no idea who the others were.
"Merry Christmas," she yawned, then shut the door again, and promptly fell into Mister Cuddles' embrace. She must have kicked him off the bed somehow..

What the hell was all that noise outside ...? Dammit, he was actually trying to slee--- oh now someone was banging bells on his door? Come ON! Rolling off the bed, Tedan stalked to the door and yanked it open, blinking blearily in the lights of the hallway and wearing nothing except for a pair of boxers. "********...?" he mumbled, attempting to focus on something here. "Wha's goin' on?" This couldn't be a mission or something, right? Too damn early in the morning for that and what did bells and Christmas carols have to do with fighting monsters?

From down the hall Minerva could hear the familiar grunts and groans of newly awoken trainees, leaning out of her room a bit further to get a better look.
Reine, looking all adorable and sleepy, had made mentioning of Christmas just before disappearing back into her room; and it was only then that the woman's eyes grew wide and alert. "Is it Christmas already?!" It would make sense, the songs they were singing and the bells that chimed some ways up...
Wow. Christmas already. But what was with the parade? It was easier for the trainee to just stay put, propped up against her door panel with both of her arms crossed; watching with a growing smile as the lot danced and sung merrily.

Cass would have tried to hit Bix if she wasn't still stubborn as a mule and trying to get the bells from Julie.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" A jangle as the bells rapped against Cass's knuckles. "HAPPY NEW YEAR. "Another jangle. "LONG LIVE AND PROSPER."
The procession, and anyone else who dared to join, continued like this down the hallway, up the stairs, until they were on the second floor. Thankfully all the trainees on the first floor could finally get a couple hours more sleep.
Julie looked around the Hunter second-floor dorms furtively for a second, before bee-lining towards a certain particular room, jangling the bells as loud as she could while rapping on the door. She sang a rendition of "Santa Claus is coming to town" to create the correct atmosphere.

Cass didn't 'dare' to join. She didn't even try to join. But noooooo, her attempts to stop all the madness in an angry morning fervor was now spelling out her doom. Her Doom-y doom. Yeah, it was that serious. Who's room were they going to now?? Did she even care? Probably not! She wanted to shut down everything and go back to sleep and take the ringing bells with her to hell!!
It was likely hilarious to see Julie manhandling anybody in that fashion, really, and Cass imagined that if this had happened at any other hour of the morning, it would have gone over better. Much..much better.
But also been remembered by everybody.
She was really tempted to scream "RAAAPPPEEEEE" as she was dragged along, but somehow she imagined it wouldn't help.

The pauses involved in walking up the stairs had been just what Bix needed. He was able to stop dragging Jerry, straighten his beard, fix his belly and finally rub the sleep out of his eyes that still clung there after being awakened. The trainee was a bit uneasy about caroling on the second floor. These people were superiors. He was fine pissing off his friends. He didn't want to make anyone more important angry.
Julie bee-lined for a particular door and Bix hiked up his Santa belt to prepare himself. Thankfully Julie started singing a song he knew and he was able to actually try and keep in tune with her.
"Oh you better watch out.. You better not cry!" He rocked on his heels as he waited for the door to open. He was trying this time. "You better not pout I'm telling you whyyyyyy... Santa Claus is cooooming to town!"
At the last second he pulled a spare santa hat out from his coat, had that been there all along?, and put on top of Cass's headlocked scalp.
Much better.

Clarice valued her sleep, for her it was something that had been won through a great deal of hardship prior to coming to the Island. She was also not a heavy a sleeper, and was, in addition, fairly used to the antics of hunters like H and Julie. So when she pulled on a bathrobe and opened her door, she didn't look angry.
No, she just stared at the carolers with large, sad, sleepy eyes that asked, Why are you doing this to me? Why?

Cass just gave Bix a look that said 'I know I deserve this, but why are you doing this to me?'
However, it wasn't as sad as the look on Clarice's face and ultimately paled.

Julie, however, did not play fair. It wasn't as if the Moon Hunter did not understand the concept of fair, it was relatively easy: someone gives you a cookie, you give them a cookie in return, at least that much she remembered from Sesame Street. However when it came to other people's sleep schedules, she simply did not understand.
Which is exactly why Clarice found herself showered in sequins and some pieces of lint from Julie's pocket as the Moon Hunter began singing in unison with Bix, the two of them sounding about as professional as Dr. H avoiding another harassment claim.
"AND MERRY CHRISTMAS", Julie finished, clanging her bells loudly, making several Hunters on the second floor - full fledged Hunters - open their doors, mutter her some choice words, and then slam them shut.

Bix glanced about the hall, seeming a bit worried as the song ended, that he'd get in some sort of trouble from the other senior hunters. He gave Clarice a smile that said 'this is fun but I would also prefer to be sleeping'. How did he convey that with a smile? IT IS A MYSTERY.
"Merry Christmas!" he followed up but now was looking to Julie. He was hoping to maybe be done soon? Or did she have more tortures for the rest of the building? Was he going to have to do a Santa-themed strip tease in front of Caelius's room at 7am?

It wasn't until several Hunters popped their heads out their doors, groaned at the sight of Julie, and began some sort of strange mass ensemble escort on the trainee-plus-Moon-Hunter group out of the living quarters that Julie had finally stopped jangling her bells and singing.
"Oh," she finally remarked, bare feet taking a few steps against the half-frozen grass outside, "It is getting rather chilly, I guess we'll have to save our caroling for later. Wouldn't want you to get a cold for the important date we have after all."
She gave Bix one exaggerated wink, paused, and then happily handed Cass her bells with something that sounded like "Use them well!"
And with that, the six am caroling group was disbanded, perhaps in favour for another time. At seven in the morning, as Bix returned to his dorm room, he would find on the doorway a very large quilt covering his entire door. As he pulled it down, he would notice it was less so a quilt but more so an ornate sort of Hunter coat attached to the quilt. And if he flipped it the right side up, he would notice that it actually said the word "CONGRATULA-"

"Oh.. heh.. yah." Bix grinned but every day that went by, closer to their 'date' he grew more and more uneasy about it. At least Julie was funny though. She was goofy. It was kind of fun!
Bix wandered back to his dorm, noting to himself that he would be keeping this Santa suit unless it was demanded returned. Pop a pillowcase on this belly? FREE PILLOW.
He was pretty much pelted by Cass and the bells until they got back to their rooms but the albino hunter was completely caught by surprise with his promotion. He was thrilled, of course, but then began to question the legitimacy of 'promotion by caroling'.
