Roch grinned. "We're gonna start up a ballet class for boils!"
Vegas choked on his cigar.

Like a baws. Nahm clapped Roch on the shoulder and took a few moments to swallow the laughter that wanted to explode out of him at the look on Vegas's face. "A very serious undertaking," he put in. "An exercise in postmodern affirmation of the masculinity of the current youthful generationnnnfftffftfttff jackitall, Roch, I can't finish that with a straight face after that, sorry man."

Vegas started roaring with laughter, almost falling over in his chair. "Jackdamn, boils, you--can either of you EVEN DANCE?" he asked, still hooting with laughter.
"Nahm can!" Roch said. "He did it in front of the entire school, practically, for the play auditions!"
"Jack, wish I'd seen that!" Vegas said, looking close to tears. "So what are you after?"
"We need speakers! Big ones!" Roch said. "For our class!"

"With a tutu and everything," Nahm grinned. "Stuffed my foxfire into one too. It was a thing of beauty. I hope someone got it on video."
He nodded in agreement to Roch's statement. "We're gonna do this up right," he said. "If you're gonna do something, you gotta do it all the way. If we can look serious enough about it, we might even be able to pull it off as a school club."

Vegas laughed for a while, having the image of the two idiots in front of him doing exactly that. Then he stopped, a strange smell catching his nose. "Boil, you been fighting again?" he asked Roch, motioning his grandson closer.
"Ain't nothin," Roch muttered, crossing his arms over his chest. That revealed the burn mark from his last dying, not that he realized it.
"Get your a** over here, boil," Vegas said. Roch hesitated, then headed forward, limping slightly. Vegas looked him over for a moment before looking at Nahm. "Scuse us for a moment," he said as he stood, hauling Roch to the bathroom. "Someone needs to learn to chalk it up and go to the nurse when he needs to," he muttered as they went in.

The burn mark was interesting in unpleasant ways. While Nahm was monster, not undead, the idea of dying in flame held similar horrors for him; firelight alone could sear him, and the idea of being enveloped in fire made his spine crawl with instinctive horror. He nodded respectfully and made no protest as Vegas hauled Roch off. Family business.
Anyway, the interlude gave him extra time to leer discreetly at the bored hooker.

They came back about ten minutes later, with Roch looking disgruntled. "That was disturbing, old man," he complained.
"You wouldn't tell me where all of the burns were, your own fault," Vegas said. "C'mere, darklin, I need a prettier image in my mind," he called to the stripper, who went to his side as he sat down. "I don't think this ballet idea of yours is gonna work, boils. But I'll have some speakers sent by."
"And my fish," Roch said quickly.
"Nope, that's my fish. I paid for it fair and square. Go find yourself a new one, boil."

"I could've helped." Nahm's grin couldn't be called innocent in the least. Roch never reacted to his suggestive comments, sure, but that didn't mean he was ever going to stop making them.
"Thank you, sir," he said to Vegas. "I appreciate your help. If my brother or I can give you any assistance with something, we would be happy to." A slight glint in his eye suggested that he'd been missing getting up to actual trouble.
Fish? He eyed Roch. ... he'd ask later.

Roch gave Vegas a disgruntled look, then turned it on Nahm, since that one was too obvious for even him to miss. He rolled his eyes. "Jackin' perv," he muttered. "And you better not kill my fish, old man!" he added darkly to Vegas before heading for the stairs to go back to school.
"I'll remember you offered that, boil," Vegas called after them.

"Don't you know it," Nahm agreed placidly, and followed Roch. He paused at the foot of the stairs to nod respectfully to Vegas; he'd meant the offer, and Ahm would stand by the promise as readily as would he. It was good to have connections, and that started with making oneself available to assist with other's endeavors.
Once they'd gotten discreetly far enough from the warehouse, Nahm tilted his head at Roch. "Fish?" he inquired.

"You see the rainbow punkeesh in that jackin' massive tank he's got against the wall?" Roch said. "I was gonna buy it, he did when I was on the field trip, so I was gonna steal it, then I got caught," he said simply. "So he and my dad dragged me around Halloween for a week. Long story."
