Pleased at having helped someone, Alida shook the girls hand, and smiled and shook her head in response to the girl's worries. She wrote, I don't think you could be a bother, Colette. She beamed, and showed the girl.
She heard Gaunt talk about wanting to have a fish fry, and she pursed her lips thoughtfully. Do you still not want to eat the fish? Mr. Gaunt seemed to want to do something good for everyone. She wrote to Colette, and tilted her head, waiting for an answer.
Rime watched the whole gathering with some interest. She liked people, even if the activity that brought them together wasn't high on her list. She made her way over to Gaunt, and sat down next to him. "Do you fish a lot, Mr. Gaunt?" She wasn't sure how to address him, so she settled on a formal approach. And she knew her conversation gambit was a bit stupid sounding, but she couldn't think of anything better. She smiled, and relaxed on top of the rock she was sitting on.

*takes a net, puts it into the water and begins fishing, after half an hour she catches a tini fish but lets it go* I'll never catch a normal fish!!! *growls and throws the net away* I'm hopeless *howls and walks to a tree and sits under it sobbing* I'll never catch a big fish! I need a fishing rod! *goes to find her mummy to ask for a goodt a fishing rod and catch a real big fish*

Aqua starts reeling her line in like a madgirl ((XD)), the line leaving ripples in the water. She gives the line another tug, and a fish goes flying in the air, landing near Aqua. Pouncing on the fish, she grins up into her mom's face as she sits up, holding the fish in her lap.
Lily smiles fondly as her daughter reels in the fish. When it shoots out of the water, Lily reaches for it but Aqua had already pounced on it. Raising an eyebrow, Lily looks down into her daughters face before grinning broadly, and ruffling Aqua's hair. "Nice catch, Aqua, now lets see how big it is..."

*Gaunt looked surprised when Rime sat next to her. He smiled and shook his head* My name is just Gaunt, not Mr. Gaunt. I'm not somebody. *He shrugged and applied more bait, casting his line back out into the water* Fishing is in my blood, I guess you can say. My grandfather had a lakehouse in backwoods Minnesota and the only thing to do there was fish. *He shrugs a bit* Untill my father took up golf, we used to do a lot of fishing no matter where we went.

Colette squinted tryign to read it, it took her a moment but she did get part.. like fish, and eat.. so she resorted to tugging her moms pant leg to get her to translate the scribbles. arafel looked down adn nodded telling her what alida had written. Colette gave a thoughtful look to the question "if it makes him happy i guess i could try one..but.. i still feel bad. " she frowned debating the situation "but.. if they're allready goign to be eaten i guess it can't hurt." she smiled with ehr decicion, she was making someone else happy and she wasn't hurting anything. If anythign she was helping the fish be of good use! She liked how that worked..
Arafel stuck out her tongue at teh talk of eating the fish.. blech. She didn't liek the taste of fish.. except maybe tuna so ground up and processed you'll never be sure if its even tuna.. but only that on occassion. She just like fishing..

Thoguh he still looked sad that some didn't seem happy with what he was trying to do for everyone* *Marfa noded as a "thank you" and began running to the other children and her big brother to see why did he have such a sad face and what was he doing* Broth! Broth! *calls his name incas he hears her, runs up to him to look what hes doing and why is he sad about it.

Keiko and Acrasia cast their lines again, and sat in companionable silence, feet dangling over the edge of the dock. Keik had a book on the ground next to her, and was reading while keeping the rod balanced between her knees, with her hand steadying it, but Acrasia looked down into the water, maintaining a stony silence, and listening carefully to the other conversations.

Alida smiled at Colette and wrote, Let's go tell him. I bet he won't look so sad then, right? and she showed it to the girl long enough for her to figure out what was written, and then took her hand and led her over to Mr. Gaunt and Rime.
She tugged on his shirt, and showed him what she written before, and then looked at Colette, gesturing for her to say it.
Rime looked at the two children curiously, and then smiled when she read what was written. Looks like Alida convinced her that eating fish isn't a horrible thing. Even if it does taste gross... I hope there's something else to eat later besides fish...

Alida thought for a moment, and then wrote down, Spicy, but not too much. I think sour would be bad, wouldn't it? And looked up at Mr. Gaunt for him to explain.
Rime smiled and shook her head. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to the apartments for a while. Oh, wait... would you mind watching Alida for me while I'm gone? I put Avery down for a nap, but I don't want him to miss out on all this."
I just hope he doesn't strip and jump in the lake...
