Oh god...the scratch of metals made the woman shudder, forcing her chest outward as her back arched instinctively. She wanted to say something against the action, shaking her head slowly as one hand flattened out over an ear- but from the looks of things, Death was eager to please their discomforts, and like a child she might take the trainee's disapproval and run with it.
Luckily, for the time being the heir decided to put a hold on her 'musical'. Only to make a sickening request. It hardly seemed to phase her physically, as a creature such as she would seek out blood and guts and gore and all of the horrible things that make up their nightmares. But inwardly Minnie couldn't shake the wariness she was feeling. The fear.
Ignoring the horsewoman for a moment, Minerva turned when her name was called and bit down on her lower lip in response. That's what she figured the doctor would say. And as he transfered the device over to Cass and then made a hasty exit.. that was what the trainee figured the doctor would do. He had given as much information as the situation seemed to require...she supposed...and with that her hazel gaze fell heavily on the girl who now wielded their necessary tool.
"Well then..." She murmured with a short laugh, sucking in a deep breath. "At least one sample is done for today."

She would be so easily played like a violin by that man. Just seeming to be all brightness and joy as the Doctor put his trust in her to tackle the first round of things. Or at least, her and Before, it sounded like? Still, her fangirl was probably still showing as she held the thermometer to her chest, running her fingers over where the doctor's hand had touched hers. No really, it was really showing.
She turned to look to Aisa when she chimed up about wanting a dying puppy, her lips pursing slightly at the thought of it. They didn't have puppies on the island..did they? She then looked to Before, seeming to puzzle on the thought as she moved over to stand closer to him and whispering; "I don't think we can get her a dying puppy" she noted sadly, mostly on the note of getting Aisa to play nicely with them, before she looked to the Horsewoman again, seeming to be less judgemental and more..curious..as it was at that time.
"Is there something else we can get you in the meantime? I'm not sure..exactly...how to get a puppy right now....." she looked to Before, her eyes saying she didn't want to give Aisa anything living if she was just going to kill it. That would have been horribly sad. And she was relatively sure that they weren't going to be getting permission to go steal a puppy just to give it to the Horsewoman...

Before hardly winced when horsey-creature (who... didn't quite look anything like a horse, oh wait horseman, not... an actual horse?) grated metal against metal. The sharp, disjointed vocal cries of a certain Halloweener had left him with a far more aurally traumatic soundbite. This? > 3> Annoying at best, besides. It didn't last long.
However, his expression became one of visible dismay at Dr. H going on to use his name in addressing him. What was wrong with calling him by his preferred name? It's not like the division leaders were using dehumanizing tactics like, say, calling them by numerical digits or anything... Also he just really didn't like the way Dr. H spoke his last name. Like there was some private joke he wasn't privy to and that reminded Before too much of his old self. Well, current self because he wasn't doing a very good job at being better than who he used to be :<<<<
He leaned closer to Cass, "Maybe we can get her a stuffed version? A taxidermied one?" he suggested with an equally low whisper. Though he doubted it would do any good and might possibly even make Death mad at them. Him? Guh.
He turned to face the horsewoman, "What she said," he echoed, gesturing to Cassandra. "Also we are human and I don't think any of us are into furries..." he added absently.

Bix's eyes widened when she snapped the thermometer in half and he visibly shuddered, averting his eyes as she scraped metal on metal. UUUUGGGGHHHH.
The other asked enough questions but Bix was mostly concerned with finding out when and where he had to do this duty. He planned on wearing full body armor and hockey gloves if possible.
"What do you eat?" It was going to be three days right? She had to eat. Did they drink normal water? Or was swampy marsh water more to her preference?

Aleister flinched at the metal on metal sound. It sounded completely horrid. He had watched as the doctor explained and then death had mentioned something about a puppy, or one of them being a puppy.
"I'd rather not...." He muttered frowning as he watched her. So they were to sign up on a clipboard to do these tasks? He glanced curiously around the room. The doctor seemed a bit creepy to him anyways.... maybe just because he didn't know him that well.

Deryk blinked as he was told they had to tend to Death's needs in the meantime. He wasn't quite sure how to feel like this. It was like they were all her butlers right now. And that first request of hers had him pausing, staring at her.
"Er.. don't think we have any dying puppies around.. or any puppies at all for that matter. Hadn't seen any. Wonder if there's monkeys on the island though. Are there monkeys?" he asked before watching the doctor. exit on out.
"And er.. I'll pass. Would not want to be shredded. Thanks. Something else perhaps?" he added, going along with Cass's line of thought. Maybe they could get Death something else.

The room above the trainees crackled and suddenly, a voice blaring into the room. "ALL TRAINEES ARE REQUESTED TO EVACUATE THE INTERROGATION ROOM SO THAT THE SPECIMEN CAN BE RELOCATED." As a follow up to those words, several other Hunters entered the room, forcefully escorting them away from Aisa. It was simply back to the Horsemen of Death and those evil white walls again, though not for long: they room hissed, and seconds later, she was unconscious again.
When she woke up, she would notice an oddity: the door was open. Not only that, but the shackles had been removed. There was noone else in sight.
Was this their promise of freedom or was it all a trap on the other side? The stretch of hallway peering from outside the door was both long and foreboding.THE ESCAPE - Aisa must escape from Deus Ex Machina without being spotted, as her 'escort' has kindly never arrived - Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice roll to the results below. IF Aisa passes out, she will land back in this room at full HP value and have to reroll/try again. Continue rolling until you exit/escape. - RP out the results of your dice roll as well, though it doesn't have to be long. - Once you have rolled EXIT, then your char is free to exit and return back to Amityville unharmed, for the most part. - You have FULL HP VALUE as you start the escape. Please post your updated HP value at the end of each post. 1- 20: Something hisses out from the darkness and catches you off guard: is that an arrow? - 10 HP 21 - 40: The ground seems sharp, spiked, and you trip over the uneven ledging, you could have sworn you saw something curved, the sharp edge of a blade sticking out from the ground.. - 10 HP 41 - 60: There is a whoosh and the giant blade of an axe swings from the 'ceiling' of the hallway, nearly cleaving you in half - 10 HP 61 - 80: You feel as if you are almost there, but in your distraction trip against something on the ground, a dagger embedded into the floor of sorts - 10 HP 81 - 100: The stretch of hallway seems to go on forever, before finally a burst of fresh air. You recognise this place, you are at the Abandoned Town outpost. There is noone in sight, and a portal right in front of you, so you take the exit out... you feel pretty normal, regardless of things that happened. As normal as you can get with those small voices whispering to you all the time. You are free! ALL TRAINEES - Feel free to post an exit post as you are escorted out of the room, keep in mind this happens hours, possibly days ICly before Aisa's escape.

Aisa absolutely despised this new technology hunters had equipped within these blasted rooms. Being knocked out, like a test guinea pig was highly displeasing, Aisa fighting for the rein of consciousness, her hand reached out in a slow grip.. Pale hands rubbed lightly on the edge of the table, her body swaying in an attempt to support herself .. before she fell to the side, hitting the ground with a harsh blunted sound. Aisa had fallen off the table, her body curled together, her untied hair falling around her, like water running amongst the smooth white ground. Her red tattered dress clung to her thighs, the boots and gloves stripped from her .. It was a private sight, the image of a sleeping lioness, hit with a tranquilizer.
The horsemen were never safe, even within the realms of sleep. The time given freely to them was not a blessing for their injuries and fatigued bodies, weary of fighting against the insanity. It was merely a time where insanity could seep in, far easier, through the cracks of their weakening barrier. None of them knew how long they had been caged in these rooms, trained to flip irritably for trainees and hunters alike. But the insanity within their bodies only exponentially increased, like white cells eliminating the red. Insanity, overtaking the fear and sanity that had slowly been balancing out.
What dreams the heirs had, nobody would know. The heir of Death, even upon examination, her lips remained silent as if she were on her own deathbed. Never revealing anything more than a hint of what lied within.
Waking up was a lesser curse. Aisa still laid, curled up on the ground, registering that those horrid white walls were still around her. Her vision traveled back and forth, left to right. Right. Left. Right. There was a strange inconsistency .. She nearly imagined that the door was open.
But it was.
Aisa propped herself upwards, her stomach on the ground, her elbows pressed against the cold ground and chin cupped in her palms. She waited for a few pressing seconds, going so far as to even throw her boot towards the open door. It didn't incinerate .. Next was the glove. That didn't flare up either. Iris eyes narrowed as she rolled to pick up the fallen articles of clothing. Then she realized, her shackles were gone. Did they want them to leave? A sly smile brushed past the corner of her lips, a little shake of her head. They were dancing to the hunters and their tune both ways. But as loathe as she was to admit, this melody was agreeable to her. Would they be here long enough to reach the climax?
They would see.
"Is this the end of our truce, Caelius?" Her crisp voice echoed through the silent room, her head lowering. It didn't matter where her gaze searched, she had not been able to find the eyes they planted on her before, nor would she find it now. Her glove and boots reunited with their master, fit snugly but strangely against her heels and palms. She tipped her head to repin her flower ornament.. Wispy locks and soft velvety petals passed through her fingers, extracting a single purple blade.
A souvenir.
It seemed to freeze within the white room, almost as if time itself froze, the overturned chairs and scratched starched walls.
The heir of Death was gone. With a purple petal left behind.

Minnie couldn't say she wasn't glad to be kicked out of the room, briefly offering Death a glance as hard and unreadable as her face could muster. She didn't want the heir to see her oozing relief.
However, she did wonder if there would be consequences for having not taken a single sample after the doctor's leave. They, especially Cass who had been holding all of the gadgets to do so, probably wouldn't mind the onslaught of tasks given in place of this failed one.........But still. The trainee couldn't help but succumb to the curiosity not of knowing what this woman, Death, truly was.
If anything beyond death. And a giant horse. And a monster.

Aleister frowned as they were escorted out, glancing back at Death looking curiously before sighing and moving along. After all there were more things to do than to stand here watching the heir of a horsemens clan.

Vanessa returned the nod to Minerva, then directed her attention to the rest of the examination that was going on. The Doctor had given the dark woman a Fear Scanner-type object, which she had then snapped in half with her teeth. Vanessa's eyebrow rose, but she continued listening to their instructor and watching, just as she she had been told to do.
The Death Heir was drinking her own blood from a cut she had made with the metal. The screech of metal that followed made her grimace, and the requested thing she had asked for made Vanessa stare at the winged woman. Connections were being formed, and Vanessa could only imagine what this woman would do to Vivi if she already enjoyed watching little innocent things suffer.
When they were told they would be taking shifts 'working' (for lack of a better word) with the woman, Vanessa gave a grim nod. Then, they were being told to evaculate. Vanessa paused to give the woman one more look, then left with the other trainees.
If the citizens of Halloween were all like her, then Vanessa felt even more strongly that the Hunters were necessary to protect the world. If they couldn't protect the rest of the human race from these monsters....Vanessa chose not to finish that thought.

Deryk flinched as the speakers blared out, jumping from the sudden loud noise. Shaking his head to himself, he looked over at Lady Deathstrike. Well, it didn't seem like they had to take care of her for too long then, unless she was being taken to like.. a dorm room of some sort. Shrugging at this, he looked around at the other trainees, then left.

Bix was pretty grateful to be released from 'duty'. The horsewoman was unnerving. She was fine to watch but as soon as Dr. H told them they would be the ones to 'examine' her in the future and take care of her needs, that was a bit too much. The young man was just not too keen on having his fingers bitten off.
He didn't even grant her a last glance when he hurried from the white room. He would go shoot something and feel better.
