"What can I say; life is what it is. Maybe I don't want to be someone's property forever, but at the same time, I've been at it so long. It's really all I know; all I've ever been good at. -- As for what you bought me for, only you can say."
She lifted her head off his shoulder slightly so she could make eye contact.
"You're quite the enigma, Piers..." She said before laying her head back down and looking at the TV again. "I'm not going to try to figure you out, I'm just going to enjoy what it is; who you are. That's good enough for me. All I know know is I want to be here with you. Maybe it's because I was trained to want that or maybe it's more, but I don't want to live in a world of what-ifs anymore."

Piers listened a bit as he smirked "well thats a good answer really. but i still would like you to know why i bought you. so once a day i will give you a hint or clue with out saying a word" he said clamly looking at her. He smiled then turned his gaze back to the tv gently petting her head. He smiled as he pulled the blanket over her and then wrapped his arm around her gently.

_______________________________________________________ Miku_________________________________________________ Miku smirked as she let what he said sink in; one clue a day, without a word. She could deal with that; it sounded fun in a way to play his game. She was worried she would lose in the end, but what's life without a little risk?
She flinched slightly as he touched her head, and used the distraction as he covered her up to slip her arm through his as she readjusted and cuddled into him more.
"I'll do my best, Master." She whispered, shutting her eyes and letting a smile grace her flushed cheeks.

Piers looked at her a bit as he smiled "alright i know you will Miku." he said calmly. he looked down seeing her arms around his as he shock his head and looked back to the screen. He sighed a bit as he readjusted a bit then pulled the blanket tighter on her as he pet her head with his other hand

_______________________________________________________ Miku_________________________________________________ "Piers?" Miku chimed after a few minutes of silence; she could hardly contain her smile. He was so warm anyways and with the blanket too, she was the definition of 'cozy'
"What do you do for a living?" She added, genuinely interested. "I know you're an angel, but this house must of cost a fortune; how do you make money?"

Piers looked at her a bit "well i work as a lawyer really, and sometimes as an head of designing buildings" he said calmly. He looked at her as she said his name as he blushed a bit as he leaned forward and kissed her forhead getly then pulled back

_______________________________________________________ Miku_________________________________________________ An angel, moonlighting as a lawyer, moonlighting as an archetect; Piers certainly led a complicated life. She felt better about her own complexities for sure; but it did reveal a little of his character she'd only caught a glimpse of so far. He obviously held justice and creativity in high esteem. This was a good man, no doubt about it...
She thought her heart had stopped when she felt his tender, warm lips grace her forehead. Was this a test!? A trap!?.. A clue? For the first time in her life, the gesture hadn't begun the spiral of desire she so frequently walked; she could feel his restraint and felt even more compelled to reciprocate...
She let her hand trail along the inside of his arm, before taking his hand in hers. It felt strange at first; there was nothing romantic about the way she approached physical relationships before. It was new, this flutter like butterflies in her stomach, as she could do nothing but blissfully coo in her thoughts about that brief moment of contact when he kissed her head. It wasn't how she felt when Ayabe kissed her; he needed to touch her to make her emotions spike like this, but not Piers... so strange.
"That sounds like it gets interesting at times, but wouldn't you rather be... you know, back home?" She asked softly, chewing softly on her bottom lip; she had her suspicions that she played some part in his being here on earth, rather than heaven though she could not yet fathom what.

Piers looked at her a bit and shock his head gently. "no i don't mind being away from home, keeps me from doing what my parents expected me to do. Besides there is more challanges here on Earth" he said softly. He took a deep breath and leaned his head back a bit then moved down a bit as he looked at her. 'besides i set out to find my brother and to see what he calls love actually happens" he said then pet her head gently.
He then turned his gaze back to the tv , as he smirked a bit feeling her hand on his. He crossed his legs a bit as he stayed quiet

She thought she knew what it was, but everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours had shown her something different.
"What will you do when you find it,.. love?" She asked softly, looking up at him. She found herself looking occasionally at his lips, fighting to keep eye contact; what did they feel like against hers, she thought...

Piers looked at her a bit "well i will go after it with all i got. and hope that i will not be rejected by it when it does show" he said calmly. he blinnked as he tilted his head a bit looking at her "is something the matter Miku"he asked curiously. He then looked back to the tv as he shut it off then payed attention to her

_______________________________________________________ Miku_________________________________________________ Piers full attention made her feel momentarily self-conscious. She blushed before looking away to collect herself.
"It's nothing, really." She replied with a smile, still looking forward; again at the whims of emotions that were completely new to her. "That's really sweet, but how can you know for certain when it does come?"
She wanted him to kiss her, but it was more than that; she didn't just want to feel his touch. She wanted to know his desire. With Piers, and maybe he alone, she wasn't content on simply lusting after his body; she wanted it to matter to both of them. She wanted them both to feel the flutter in her stomach like she did this moment.
"...But most importantly." She continued, making eye contact again; the longing was there. What she wanted, was spoken plainly by her eyes; Piers had made a first impression like no other, and she wanted to go after it with everything she had. "Just what should you do when you think you've found it; how do you hold on to it?"

piers looked at her a bit as he rubbed his neck a bit collecting his thoughts. "well you know it has come when you can't say what your really want to the person you love. your speechless and you get butterflies in your stomach" he said calmly. He took a deep breath then looked outside the window as he pulled his legs up to himself.
He then looked back to here and you know you have found it when you can't sleep and you want to be with that person no matter what, and your thinking about them."he smiled a bit and pet her head gently. "and you hold onto it by tell the other person you love them and see what happens. and if they do accept it and feel the same way then you do whatever you can to prove it over and over again"

"It sound's wonderful..." She said warmly, snuggling into him more before continuing. "Then I'm going to do everything I can; I promise to help you find someone that makes you feel that way."

Piers looked at her a bit confused and suprised "alright but you shouldn't stress yourself out so much thought. we all need to find the love on our own and in our own way. we also have to do it ourselves not with the help of others' he said calmly

"Well, if that were true, then...." She stopped herself there, still feeling that tick that told her it wasn't her place to say what she was thinking. "Nevermind, I still think I can help though; I'll come up with something. I think you deserve someone nice in your life."
The conviction in her voice was nothing short of admirable; he said it himself, you have to prove yourself, over and over again. She couldn't tell him how she felt; not yet anyways, but it didn't mean she didn't think he deserved it. It didn't mean she couldn't try like she had just spewed her thoughts about her feelings.
