They wrestled and moved, Mac trying to get the camera and Freya trying to keep it from him, and neither seemed to be getting anywhere. "WHOA!" That first roll made him cling to her; if he was going down? She was going down with him. He hit the floor with a pained groan, even worse when the Valkyrie landed on him, but it seemed that momentum wouldn't just leave it there. They rolled a couple times more and Mac wasn't sure what thud belonged to what; any noise could have been any number of their limbs hitting the ground and without a whine of pain he never suspected that she'd hit her head.
The boil had been about to ask her if she was okay. He really was. But for some reason he couldn't form words, probably because his mouth didn't seem to be working. Why wasn't it working? Well, as he started to realize what was going on, he realized his lips were a little busy with hers, returning a kiss he didn't entirely remember receiving.
Wait.
Wait.
"Oh JACK!" The Reaper jumped back as though he'd been burned, scrambling to get away from the very taken ghoul and her pretty, soft lips.

There was an overwhelming force of instinct within Freya, that as soon as someone was kissing her without her permission, her fists went flying. As Mac jumped away from her, it was clear both of her fists were on their way to his face, flailing in front of her wildly. He'd jumped out of the way before they could connect, but that didn't make her look any less wild.
Once the fists stopped hitting the air around her, Freya's mind started to connect the dots. Rough-housing - check. Falling - check. Head hitting the table - check. Bucking her head up and - no, that wasn't it. Mac must have bent down to kiss her. That must have been what happened..
..right?
Her eyes opened and she stared at her fists, then focused at Mac. The shock on his face mirrored the shock on hers.
"Mookey." A shaky voice whispered out. ".. Why did yeh just kiss me?!"

Mac isn't here right now, please leave a message after the beep.
Beeeeeeeeeep.
"NO I didn'---" Okay, so the answering machine in his head lied. But still. "I mean - you kissed me first!" He insisted, sounding understandably frantic. This ghoul probably had some just, black-skinned undead boilfriend who liked to smash in faces and...other...sensitive places...
He was so dead.

"ME?" Freya's eyes bugged out like saucers, and she stumbled up to her feet, flailing her arms around wildly. "Nonono I DID NOT KISS YEH MAC, IT'S NOT TRUE, I DID NOT KISS YOU, I DID NAAAHT!" Her hands drove into her hair, as she started pacing the room. "No, okay, wait. Let's thinks about this. We fell on the floors together, ja? And then yeh fells on me, and then yeh kissed me. That is what happened." That is not what happened. "Right?"

"YES, YOU!" Mac cried out right back at her, staying on the floor and content for the moment to just watch her pace. "You did kiss me first. I'm not gonna make the moves on a taken ghoul!" Now he got to his feet, if only to rather literally give him ground to stand on in this sudden argument.
"No, that's not---what! Why won't you admit--augh!" It was Mac's turn to bury his hands into his hair, sweeping his fingers through to grip the back of his neck. "No no, we fell, you fell on me, we rolled, I fell on you, and you kissed me!" He wasn't going to let this go, this wasn't his fault! Okay sure he'd kissed her back, but jackdamnit she started it.

Her eyes fell to the floor, and her hands moved in an odd sort of motion, as if she was retracing the steps. Sure enough her lips were moving as she whispered to herself, step by step, until -
"Mmm...no."
She pursed her lips in determination, and stormed up to stand up to him, despite the height difference.
"Trust me, Mookey." She poked him right in the ribs and growled her words out. "Yehd know if I kissed yeh."

Black eyes narrowed at the shorter ghoul as she had the audacity to come up to him like that, to tell him that he was wrong and that she was something fantastic and...really? His lip curled into a sneer, reaching up to grab the hand that insisted on poking him.
"Yeah, which is how I know that you kissed me." He growled, his mood souring in her insisting on ignoring the truth. "And you'd know it if I kissed you first."
And then he proved it.
Dear pinch: this is for you

Somewhere, in the back of her mind, Freya had known that their first mishmash of faces had been an accident. Maybe after she'd had some time to cool down alone, she would have come back and apologized to Mac for blaming him for everything.
That could have happened, if Mac hadn't grabbed her, pulled her in, and turned their accident into a solid mistake.
If Mac could have seen the fire ignite in her eyes, perhaps he would have pulled away in time to save himself from the fists that flew at him. All that she knew was anger, and she struggled with every fiber of her being until she pulled away from him. Her hand smacked against the forgotten chocolates, sending them all tumbling to the floor, as she inched back towards his door.
And then, the strangest thing happened.
She smiled.
It was not a pleasant smile. In fact, if anyone saw just how dark and vicious her gaze was, they would not even notice the smile that lifted her lips at that moment.
She swiveled on her heel, and stormed out of Mac's room, without saying a single word.

Ow, was all he could think as the fists flew.
On the list of things Mac should have done, not acting on impulse was not only on the top of the list, but it was the second item, and then it was dispersed at a relatively random rate down it's entirety. He knew he shouldn't have, but jackdamn he was frustrated; frustrated about Lizzy, frustrated about this ghoul that kissed him and threw the blame on him, everything.
She wanted to shift the blame? Fine, he shifted the blame.
That smile, or rather that smile coupled with the death that radiated from her eyes, was telling Mac something he already knew; he was a goner. Yup. Dead.
But for some reason, he didn't care. In fact, he only sighed and set to straighten up his entire room. If he had to die, he was going to die somewhere organized for once.
