"What the heck is rice," Aella asked as she popped out of the bush, slowly wiggling her body free of the branches and being careful not to spill any of the berries craddled in her tail.
There weren't a whole lot, since she'd stayed away from all but the ripest. Let the half-finished ones continue growing, it made them bigger and sweeter and less likely to hurt your belly later.

Tsuzuki looked at her and smiled nervously, "I was hoping that you would know what it was." He chuckled as his ruffled his wing feathers, "I heard someone say that. I never really understood what the heck he was talking about, but it seemed like a funny saying." The phim grinned at her sheepishly.
"I guess it doesn't really matter down it?"

Aella looked thoughtfully. "I dunno... You never know when a particular saying could totally come in handy. We should work on figuring that out another day."
She trotted over to Tsuzuki, brushing up against his side in a half-snuggle. "So, find anything else?"

Tsuzuki looked at her slightly dreamy from the snuggle against him. So meanwhile while he mind was wandering to fluffy day dreams about him and his Aella snuggling in the warm sun, nuzzling against each other and smiling, laughing, giggling. All the fun stuff in life. It took him awhile to realize that she was talking to him.
"Um...what?" He blushed as he looked at her sheepishly, "Was I supposed to be looking for something?"

Aella bumped her shoulder against Tsuzuki's, laughing.
"Berries silly. You were supposed to be looking for berries. You know, sweet delicious fruits that make you drool at the very thought and happen to be the love of your life."
Aella meant for the whole thing to be teasing, but was there a hint of a question in her tone? Nah, it had to all be teasing. Right? Yea, right.
....
Positive? Yup, positive.
....
Hopefully. Deities, she didn't want to seem jealous of berries!

"Oh right." Tsuzuki smiled at her softly, "I knew that I was just trying to test you." He giggled softly as he leaned down and nuzzled the small vixen. "Would you like to ride on my back, or would you like to walk?"
The phim grinned down at the lovely Aella, in his opinion, the thing that he loves most in the entire world. But he wasn't so sure he was ready to say that out loud. At least not right now. Maybe after he learned how much the vixen cared for him.
Yep.
Then he would tell her.
Hopefully. If he had the courage to tell her.

Aella cocked her head to the side, eyeing Tsuzuki's wings and lost in an internal debate.
On one hand, flying! And fluffy feathers! And the breeze going through her fur, and snapping at those little puff things that blew around in the warm air, and maybe a bug or two, and...
On the other hand, flying... It would be just terrible to discover a latent fear of heights when far, far off the ground. Even worse to discover that her stomach might rebel as a display of its unhappiness at being far too high up for its liking... Now that be be so very unfun, not to mention...well,...
"Hmmmmm," Aella hummed tonelessly, still caught on the fence. "I dunno.... You fly a lot Tsuzuki, do I look like I could be a flying person? I mean I don't have wings and all that, obviously, and I'm better at ground stuff, but do you think I'd do alright in the air as well?"
Yup, who better to ask than an expert on the air!

Tsuzuki looked down at Aella puzzled. How was he supposed to know if she looked like a flyer or not. That was an enormous amount of pressure to put on him, and he had no idea how to judge if flying was going to make her sick or not.
"Um..." The male started lamely as he looked at her.
"I do not know how I am supposed to tell you if you are a flyer or not if you have never been flying." Tsuzuki blushed, "I have never taken a normal flying so....I don't have anything to compare this too." He looked at her sheepishly, almost sadly.

Aella nodded. "Fair enough. I mean I guess there's no way to actually tell unless you're actually up in the air." She spent another moment in thought, humming softly.
"How 'bout this then," she suggested in a bright voice. "We just fly low. I mean if you've never flown carrying someone and I've just never flown, don't you think lower is better for the first try?"

The male smirked lightly as he listened to Aella, "I agree....and that way if you fall off you won't get really hurt." Tsuzuki teased her lightly, though he was partly serious. He had never flown with anyone on his back before, and he would feel horrible if she fell off his back and ended up hurt or dead.
"Do you think that you can climb on my back?" The phim crouched on the ground as low as he could get, his wings unfolded so that there was more room on his back for her to settle herself on.

"Try and stop me," Aella claimed, prancing forward with excitement; she loved any excuse to get up nearly Tsuzuki's wings or snuggle into his soft, fluffy fur.
When she climbed on Tsuzuki's back, though, she moved carefully so as not to accidently hurt him in a moment of carelessness. "Okay-," she said, settled into place, "-I'm on." She looked at the back of Tsuzuki's head curiously. "How should I hold on so I don't get in the way?"

"Just put your paws around my neck if you feel like you have to hold on to something, and use your back legs to stay on my back and not flop to the side on one of my wings, cause that could be bad! And if you really feel like you're going to fall, just let me know and we can land."
Tsuzuki turned his head to give Aella a reassuring smile and bent to nuzzle her, when a scent caught his attention. He peered hopefully at her tail. "Maybe I should eat those first? You know, so you don't have to hold on to them and we don't lose them," he asked, trying to seem diffident rather than eager.

"Oh, good idea," Aella chirped, but rather than get off Tsuzuki's back and place the berries on the ground, like he'd probably intended, she wiggled her tail around carefully so that it was in front of his face, offering the berries to him in a very fluffy bowl.
"Just be sure not to bite or tickle me, cause then I'll probably drop the berries and they'll get all icky in the dirt or crushed from the fall," she cautioned, flexing the muscles of her tail to make certain it would hold the fruits. Thank goodness females had such long tails, it made things so much easier!

"Oooh, smart," Tsuzuki chirped brightly. It was a novel experience eating berries from the tail of a beautiful vixen perched upon his back. Rather like she was feeding him the way humans did, but with their paws cause they didn't have tails. He found himself blushing a little at the mental image that sprung up in his head of Aella feeding him berries one by one, and busily applied himself to eating before she could see the blush and tease him.
Gosh, she could pick an excellent berry! Each was perfectly ripe and juicy, and had Tsuzuki making happy little noises as he tried not to get any of the delicious berry juice on Aella's tail. He practically inhaled the morsels, then fastidiously licked any berry juice off his face.
"Alright, I think we're all set," he said, looking back over his shoulder to shoot Aella a happy and eager smile.

Aella brought her tail back in and wrapped it close to her body, hunking down in the little hollow between the wings on Tsuzuki's back and draped her front paws on either side of his neck since it seemed to be the most sturdy and least likely to induce a crash spot to clutch in case it turned out she really stank at flying.
"I'm ready," she trilled with just a hint of nervousness. If it wasn't for the fact that she completely trusted Tsuzuki she wouldn't have had the nerve to attempt this. Those giant, fluffy wings suddenly took on a whole different aspect when she thought about them as the things that would take them into the sky as opposed to excellent snuggle devices.
She wrinkled her nose at her nerves which were trying to tell her maybe this wasn't such a good idea. She was gonna do this! If Tsuzuki had the courage to take her up in the sky with him, she was gonna have the courage to travel in the air!
