A love that will last within your heart...

Lunaris swept towards her palace, landing gently on top of a flagpole. Her heart was swelled with regret at not being able to call off the battle, but she knew that Solaris would not waver in his decision. He was known for his strategy, and the ultimate goal of all strategies was to win.

The owl cooed softly into the wind, remorse filling the air around her, when she heard a commotion near the battlefield. She glanced at the area and realized that Solaris had... surrendered? 'No, he would have never surrendered, he must be calling off his army,' Lunaris thought, soaring back towards her troops.

"It seems the Sun Kingdom has retreated, do not follow, we need not prod another attack." Lunaris called, her voice echoing across the clearing. Her eyes scanned, and rested on Leon, who was under a tree, whining. The entity dropped to the ground beside him, and looked at him pointedly. "I believe I asked you to go the the medical ward. Shall you begin explaining why you were on the front lines instead of resting?" she asked, her wide eyes shimmering with amusement.

Leon looked up at the entity. Normally he would sit up and bow but he couldn't move his body so he just laid there pitifully. I was on my way when I heard the declaration of war. I'm one of your best fighters so I went out there to help. Shayla told me to go back also so I started to when they attacked. I couldn't leave my allies to fight for themselves, so I had to help. He tried to sit up but the attempt failed when he tried to use his paw and a loud crack sounded and a pitiful whimper escaped him. He was humiliated but his mangled paw was making things difficult for him.

Қala and Ϛcythe

Scythe ran from the emptying battlefiled. Solaris' flames had blocked any chance of an immediate pursuit. But we aren't done yet.. Kala's voice breathed into his mind. The brown wolf suddenly veered sharply to the left, running low to the ground as the bushes along the path just barely camouflaged his dark fur.

Scythe was actually quite a strange wolf, having what seems to be a multi-personality disorder. His body is actually a vessel of two souls. Kala and Scythe were originally twins, but Kala had died early on in their lives and Scythe somehow absorbed his brother's soul. No one else knew this, of course. But having two "personalities" had proved to be more troublesome for Scythe's Kingdom-mates and rivals than for himself.

He chuckled quietly to himself, coming to a small cliff and slinking up it slowly. The army was too large to move quickly, but Solaris was nowhere in sight. Swiftly, Scythe plunged down and landed smack in the middle of the ranks. In doing this, he caused confusion and the army started to scatter. Laughing, Scythe ran circles around a few individuals, their blood suddenly pooling out of them and onto the ground.

A circle formed, surrounding Scythe so he couldn't escape. But the wolf just laughed, half his appearance changing as his laugh is not his own. "We're just having a little fun!" Kala growled in his sadistic voice. They looked strange, standing there as half one wolf and half another. But the sudden changed caused a few soldiers to back off. One was suddenly stabbed in the back by a set of claws.

The warrior looked back to see a necromanced panther, bearing Solaris' Sun Symbol on its forehead and eyes glowing an eerie red. Its claws had gone through his heart and he coughed once before falling backwards. The panther then leapt at the nearest warrior and the circle broke apart in a chaotic frenzy. Slowly, Kala took over his brother's body and they crept from the battlefield. The panther would stay necromanced until he was back on Sunmoon's territory. Laughing, the now blue and black wolf climbed back up the cliff and raced into his Kingdom.

Shayla watched everyone retreat, panting heavily and looking around. She saw Lunaris swoop down and land next to someone. Shayla narrowed her eyes, and realized it was Leon. She charged at him the best she could, as she had injured her back paw during the brief battle, and stopped beside them.

"What the hell are you doing here?! You were supposed to go back to the medical ward!" Shayla growled, anger seeping from her voice. She glanced at the entity. "Lunaris, I don't know what to say. I feel like this is my fault... Actually, no, it was definitely Leon's fault." she decided, turning back to glare at Leon.

Leon looked away ashamed. I had no choice. I had to help my allies! I saved a lot of lives today, and I'd do it again. I'd rather forfiet my life then sit out of a fight cause I'm barely....hur.... Leon's rant drifted off as his eyes slid shut. He slowly fell unconscious from the pain, his body faling limp against the tree in his own pool of blood. The ice on his side was starting to melt off, uncovering his other wound.

Shiro felt relieved as he had safely brought Lillian back to their territory and she was being carefully treated by one of the healers. He waited for her outside of the room she was being tended in. He wasn't worried about his minor injuries and had bond them with ease. As he sat there he was thinking about the battle and pondered the likely hood everyone would come back unscathed. Unfortunately, it was a fictional hope in these battle scarred times.

Rei knew what was to come and feared the outcome greatly. She thought for several moments as the last of the troops from both sides successfully retreated around her. "I don't wanna go back now, there has to be another way around it." She muttered, but the more she thought, the worse the situation became for her. Immediately she took off in the direction of SunMoon territory.

The last thing Lillian was conscious of was being picked up and rushed back to the safety of her Kingdom. She could vaguely tell that the person was a friend, but she couldn't remember who. Her eyes were half-closed, but her vision was nonexistent. She blacked out for what felt to be years, and a voice sounded in her head. But, she payed no attention as she drifted into a memory...

"Lillian, wake up." A voice sounded in her ear, sweet and almost motherly. A shadow flashed out of her sight and the youngling slowly sat up. She was bleeding heavily from one side of her body, but as the strange she-wolf pressed her muzzle where the wound was open, she could feel the pain evaporate. Bewildered, Lillian looked at her mottled side to find that the drying blood was all that was left. "Amazing" She breathed, looking into the eyes of the Earth Entity Amaterasu. But the she-wolf's smile was all too real. "Its time to go, Lillian." She said softly.

Suddenly, Lillian jolted awake. A female nurse had been watching her closely and leapt back with a loud cry of shock at her patient's sudden awakening. "A, sorry!" Lillian apologized, rolling to her paws and taking an unsteady lurch back toward the ground. "Wait! Lay back down, you're recovering from exhaustion!" But Lillian ignored her, calling back that she'd rest during her Guard shift. The she-fox stepped out of the infirmary to find Shiro. With a question in her eyes, she walks over to him. "Would you mind escorting me back to Amaterasu?" She asks politely, wondering if it had been Shiro who had carried her there.

Қala and Ϛcythe

Kala slowed as he crossed the border into Sunmoon, letting out a loud "Ha!" and prancing in a circle before regaining himself again. He felt his control over the necromanced panther fade as he crossed back into his own territory, but he knew it had done a bit more damage to the returning army. This is what made him laugh in a momentous victory. The Sun entity obviously did not want anyone fighting his retreating forces, but as always Kala and Scythe were determined to go against the wishes of an entity rather than respecting them. Though, this often got the twins in trouble.

One could tell without having to look at the difference in appearance what set Kala and Scythe apart. Kala's voice was much more sadistic and manipulative. Not only that, he had a tendency to play with the minds of others just by talking. Scythe's voice had a slightly more friendly quality to it, one that made him seem trustworthy. He'd play the part of being trustworthy, but just like Kala he was more a rotten apple than anything. The two did love to confuse others, and the best way to do that was to refer to each other not as another personality, but to call the other "Twin."

"Oh, you're awake now." Shiro stated happily as he stood up straight from his leaning position against the wall. "Are you sure you're well enough to head back to your duties?" He asked her since she didn't look as full of energy as she used to be. He wasn't one to disobey a high commanding order, especially from Lillian. "I will but I would like to accompany you today to make sure you're alright." Shiro began walking down the hall, leading her to Amaterasu's quarters.

Rei had taken the long way back to the castle that was in the midst of SunMoon's territory. She was very nervous to face their leader and confess that she had done something completely without orders. It was her nature to act on impulse but usually she could handle controlling her behavior. Whenever she was around a battle was when she lost herself to the blood lust. As she maneuvered through the halls, Rei spotted Xeklos opening the doors with a booming echo. She rushed to his side before he went inside alone to greet their leader.

Amaterasu opened her eyes after visiting Lillian in her unconscious state. She knew she would be on her way soon, she'd have to discuss war and peace. Her forest green eyes shifted around the enclosure. She howled, making it known to ever potential enemy in the area and surrounding that she would not shy away. She knew there had to be hope.

Lillian didn't object to having company, in fact she felt it might be better for her to be in the presence of another while she was still recovering. "Thank you." She says in a soft, but audible tone. She isn't one to be embarrassed easily, and she actually enjoys the company of a friend. Whether the friend is male or female never matters to her. As captain of the Guard, Lillian must live her life without knowing a lover or a family. That she's always been content with. Mostly because she's never fallen in love. The she-fox never thought about settling down. Frankly, the thought of having children scares her. Not only are the kingdoms in an all-out war, but even in future wars any offspring Lilly produced would be trained either for battle or for a position in the Guard. Training for the Guard was one of the hardest things in the world. That was something a parent would definitely never want to put their child through.

Lillian breaks out of her thoughts as she hears the Entity's howl. "She over this way." The she-fox says in her usual, soft tone. She brushes Shiro with her tail to indicate he may still come, and then walks steadily in Amaterasu's direction.

Shiro walked casually down the halls, it wasn't unlike his typical duties to guide others to and from places. He wasn't a high ranking officer or even a skilled fighter, he had speed and agility, that's all. The power over wind had helped him greatly when assisting Lillian earlier but he was afraid of the war. If it became too out of control he knew 'it' would show it's face again. As he thought he heard the faint words brush past his ear and snapped his attention to the sweep of Lillian's tail. "Right.." Shiro responded as he moved in the direction she had indicated.

It would be nice to start over again
Id give, Id bend, lets play pretend

Retreat. Solaris had called off his warriors, much to the relief of the duo. About five minutes after the last soldier left, Solace let his wall collapse, and it shifted right back down into the earth it belonged in. Equilibrium had just finished patching up the young sun warrior, and there was a bandage over his leg that smelled of various herbs. The Fennec looked around and sighed, "We got our work cut out for us"

"Get the cart. Survivors first, we'll clean up the rest later..." that was their job, after all. The cleaning crew, where else would all the bodies go? Oh, and the survivors too! In the rush of a fight or a hasty retreat, the severely wounded are often left behind. Its not until it is too late that people realize it, and Equilibrium would not let it slide.

Another mans ignorance was her pleasure. Solace went into the trees, trotting back with an old, wooden cart meant to be pulled by a donkey or a horse. He filled the place instead, with the height and power to do so it was no big deal. The cart had many modifications, and it was much longer than it was wide. On the outer sides of the cart, small storage boxes had been attached, some with a door covering the top and others left wide open. Their contents and size varies, from small boxes with herbs and other tiny supplies in them to large boxes with empty jars, or just empty boxes all together. All the sides were covered like this, making any and all usable space useful.

The back part had hinges, a hook with a rope tied onto it keeping it in place. Once let loose however, the back part went flat down just like the bottom. There were boards folded on it however, and once let down they made a sort of ramp. A perfect way to load things, as well as get a certain Fennec on board...

Solace pulled the cart out, he only regretted not bringing the wagon out. Next time, he would have to be ready...this fight took them by surprise, and he had barely any time to prepare. The cart would not hold this many, the wagon would. It was a chore to pull, since it was a sort of thing that usually took two horses or more, but even if it went slowly it would hold more.

He let the ramp fall and looked around. Bring only the critically injured, but not the ones that wouldn't make it. That was the rule. He began to walk, grabbing them by the parts he could and slowly dragging them onto the cart.

One, two, three...he collected six wounded, seven total with their young fox soldier. Those not yet treated he had curled up into balls to save space. He went over to Equilibrium and dipped his head, letting her climb onto him. Then he grabbed the fox by the scruff and put him on the cart, helping him get into a ball as well. Equilibrium jumped onto the cart last, pulling up the ramp with her. "Take us to the sun kingdom. Four of these are their men, ours can wait. Besides, by the time we get there, I would have patched them all up"

Solace nodded, "I'll take the long path. Its time consuming, but its less bum-" "yeah yeah, whatever you want...cart monkey" he flicked an ear in annoyance, "Shut it fun-size, or I make you try and grab something two feet up in the air"

He began to pull the cart, all the while hearing Equilibrium's mumbles and grumbles. By the time they got the the Sun kingdoms lands, she was already finishing up on the last man. No healer worked quite as well as she did, even when going fast like this, and all those on the cart were already looking better. Solace stopped and looked ahead, "...OH COME ON!"

A wall of fire, they couldn't risk going through that! This was terrible, horrible, terrible...Equilibrium jumped onto his back and slid down his leg, going up to the wall of fire. "I know you're back there" they wouldn't leave this thing unguarded "We mean no harm. We just want to return your soldiers to you, we are not interested in anything else. If you have any more wounded, however, we also offer our services" this was Equi for 'B****ES BETTER LET ME IN BEFORE I KICK SOMEONE'

Remember the times we had soda for wine?
Yeah when fights were for fun, we had water in guns, and a place we could call our own
